Thinkfab, I had a mutant seedling like that before. They grow out of it, and correct themselves. I wouldn't worry.

I see. I just figured it was something like a broken seed or whatever. Thanks for the response Smokey.

I got some pics with my camera this time, so hopefully they turned out better than my cell phone pics.

First up, is my newest purple, at 5 days old. I got the pH down around 7 (from the 8-9 it was at), so hopefully it starts showing some real signs of growth soon. I also found out that it needs to be watered on a daily basis, unlike my other plants, that get watered about every 3-4 days. That could also have something to do with the slow growth.

This is my favorite plant. The NYCDiesel is easily some of the best weed I have found, and I hope this plant turns out great. My room-mate got lucky, and found this seed in a bag from the dispensary. I really hope it turns out to be a female.

This is my first purple seed, and is looking a bit odd. It seems to be growing normally, minus the fact that it has some kind of deficiency on part of a leaf. It looks like it will grow out of it eventually.

Now for the more mature plants. They are on day 20 from planting. The stems on both of them are getting huge. I cant wait to see what i can get out of them in the end. The strain is unknown, because they both came from bags of mid's.

Maybe I should be watering more often, to prevent the stem from exploding overnight.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the complements.

I finally got the rest of the grow tub put together. and i took a few pics along the way. Basically, I took the original lid to the larger tub, cut the center out of it, and 3M double side taped it to the smaller tub. I used 3 screws on each end, to make sure it doesn't fall apart on me.

After that, I cut the holes in the end for the fans, and added the emergency blanket material to the inside, and attached it with aluminum tape.

To guard against bugs, I got a sheet of polyester foam for a/c units, and put it on the inside of the tub, making sure to keep it from getting tangled up in the fan blades(we don't need a fire hazard in the apartment).

I am now using one cord to house all my lighting, and it is centered in the middle of the tub.

2 42w 2800 lumen bulbs, and 4 26w 1600 lumen bulbs, for a total of 12,000 lumen's. The cord just dangles down through a hole in the center of the tub, and has a clamp holding in one spot. I like it for ease of adjustment, but want to make something better in the future.

now time for the girls!

first problem thus far. for some reason, my favorite plant, the NYCD has something going on with her leaves. if anyone know what it is, please let me know.

i have also been seeing some tiny flies in the tub. maybe 1mm long. anyone know what those are, if they are harm full to my plans, and how to get rid of them?

Thats a good question...never realy seen that kinda weird mark/color thingy happening,
Have u sprayed the plants with water or anything else?

I decided that I wanted to be able to pick and choose what plants I flower, and when, so I decided to make a flowering room. This is the general out line of what I did. As usual, things will be added/upgraded later on down the road.

I started by getting this.

It is about 5.5 feet tall on the inside. plenty of room for an indoor small grow.

After cutting a small hole in the bottom side for a cord to fit through, I cut a hole in the center of a shelf, for the cord to dangle from.

I also cut a long hole along the bottom, for air flow, and added some emergency blanket to the lower half of the cabinet.

Also added emergency blanket to the top and bottom of 2 shelves.

but had to cut the back off them to allow for better air flow.

and now we got the bling factor!

I cut a 7" hole in the side for the vent tube.

some of the stuff I bought for lighting.

added a fan and a new digital thermometer, because this is what i saw after lifting some leaves on the first test day.

and this is what it looks like now.

I'm not super happy with how the carbon cleaner turned out, so I'm going to share info on that later, after I change it.

Something I picked up for the flower stage. We will see how it works.

It sure is a good thing I quit smoking cigs, because this is really starting to get expensive.

I didn't spray the leaves with anything until today, but I think I dribbled some of the fish fertilizer water on it. I sprayed all the plants in the veg tub, with the new Monty's liquid fertilizer today. It is recommended to do this in the directions.

Yes, you can add or remove shelving throughout the entire cabinet. You could do veg and flower at the same time if you wanted. In the second pic, you can see the spacing.

It isn't on new growth. It just showed up a few days ago on those leaves. I've been trying to figure out what it was myself, but I haven't come up with anything yet.

Well, I ended up replanting the purple 2 today. I figured it was either that, or watch her be the runt. I put her in a smaller pot, using only soil. I don't expect her to make it, but if she does, I will not be upset.

had a couple small roots break. only found this one.

And a few pics of the other plants as of today.

The flowering plant is getting very dried out. I think the fan is just to much, even though it doesn't really push that much air. She seems to be much happier getting watered every day now.

This is what I found yesterday. I got very nervous, but things are looking up now.

These are the new nutes I am using. They are $7 per 8oz. bottle, and local. I'm starting them on 1/4 strength, and we will see where i go from there.
