ThinkFab's First Grow - Mids in a Tub

The pots are one gallon. They need to be bigger, but I don't really have the room for it. Maybe I should try square pots next time. I would like to have 2.5 gallon pots. Do you think it will cause a problem?

I'm far from an expert but the rule of thumb I've seen thrown around here is 1 gal per foot of plant. 1 gal is pretty small for a mature plant imo.

I bought rectangular 6 gallon plastic trash cans and cut them down to about 4 gals. That would help with your space problems and still give her plenty of room to grow... at least it's worth considering. Good luck!

Thanks bluedog, I will have larger pots next grow, but I am afraid of shocking them if I re-pot now. I do like your idea of cutting trash cans down for pots too.

I decided to go ahead and flower the other bagseed plant today, so the cabinet is now full. I am almost hoping one of them turns out to be male, so I have room for the nycd and purple later. Maybe I will just let them mature for a couple months instead. Anyway, pics for now. (Sorry bout the sideways one)

Haha I know what you mean about wishing one was a male. I always hope it's the crappiest looking one.

I don't think transplanting will shock them much if at all, but you have to make that call for yourself. If you don't I think you'd want to be watering/feeding pretty often, since there's not much in there for the roots to get at. But that's just a guess.

Good luck!

Looking good!:welldone:
Thanks guys.

Yea they get feed daily, but I think I'm going to transplant them soon anyway. I'll do some research on transplanting tonight. Never hurts to know more.

Bs1 grew 2.5" today, and bs2 grew 2". They seem to love the nutes I'm giving them. BTW, they are getting 1/4 strength root & bloom, nearly every day. Probably a little much, but they are soaking it up.

Since the new carbon air filter seems to be working perfectly, I will post the build of that soon.

Thanks for those of you that are tuning in.

Bagseed 1 has flowers! Nothing on bagseed 2 as of yet.

Purple 2 is looking much better, now that its in just soil. I guess I'm just not cut out for growing in perlite.

By looking at the bagseed 2 plant, I'm going to guess its a male. Time will tell.

Great news on the budz friend! How long into flower are you?

These plants are so cool, they're amazing at every stage. If you have good eyes and a 5x scope you'll be able to sex the remaining plants pretty soon. Of my two bagseeds one was tiny and I thought she was a female - she was a he. The other was huge and I was sure it would be a male and it's a she. So you never know.

:peace:

Well thats good to know. I started flowering wednesday last week, so its been 10 days. I would be surprised if the other is a female. they were planted at the same time, and bs2 is much taller, so I'm just making assumptions as of now. Thanks for the comment. Your grow is looking great by the way. Good work man.
