Volksball's Second Waltz With The White Widow, 2019

So the struggle continues...

When moving the girls around to switch the light out, the thermostat fell in the pot of the strongest girl and snapped of a branch. I'm not sure how these things recover, or if they do, but you'll notice it was on one of the lower nodes. My logic tells me that this would have been one of the main kolas? I hope I'm wrong.

Thx.

try putting it in place and duct taping it up there. These plants are amazing sometimes how much they can heal
Sadly, it shrivelled and the node has pinched shut.

Ha. Thanks. Sometimes I feel like a ballet dancer how I tiptoe through that space. S*** happens, I suppose.

So you're saying that I can expect similar or the same yeilds to what she would have given, having all kolas?

if its an auto no, but the energy will be redirected to another bud.. but if its a regular, then all you have lost is a little time and give it an extra week in veg and you will more than make up for this little mishap.

Perfect. Thanks for having a look :)

Alright. We're back in business.

New ballast, new bulb. Faulty ballast burnt out the old MH, but thankfully not the HPS when I was testing it. it just wouldnt light it up. HPS lights with the new ballast, telling me both old MH and old ballast were to blame.

Girls are on the floor now and the lights are cranked up. They're all getting about 22k lux st 6000k. I was surprised to see how many MH were in the 4200k range. Waiting to see where the numbers level out to.

Hoping to fill the tent in a shorter veg. Scrog and flip earlier when five fill up fast. So, not giving one up. Not even the ugly one.

Anyone see anything like the wonky one? I'm assuming a genetic deformity?

The girls stretched a bit under the T5s for four days, but hopefully the new light intensity slows that down a bit. Topping soon.

Thanks for the help friends!

Evening growers..

The girls got a haircut.

Three of them got topped between nodes 2 and 3, and the other two 3-4. I'd have liked to go lower, but I snapped a lower branch off of one and the other was just too stumpy.

Two pots are drying much slower than the others, so on @Emilya 's good advice, I've been pulling the dry pots along with a light watering until the others bring up the rear. Everyone should be good to go tomorrow.

The family picture just ain't what it once was.

Thx!

Was it too late to clone those ;).

Plants look great VB! Next time wear wide receiver gloves when playing catch. They're really sticky!
Ha! My hands just ain't what they once were. And I knew I'd get a clone request. I thought about it, then I thought if I spend anymore time in the tent, I might find my pillow in there. :)

I like those little heaters in ur heat V, just picked one up myself, $25 at crap tire ya can’t go wrong, great for the little tent, and does not get hot at all!
Surprised and delighted

Your plants are looking really great! keep the green growing :thumb:
Ha... yeah, they're great. Two is perfect. The high/low settings on each make for good combos of heat. And yeah, you'll be surprised about what you find on the clearance rack at CT.

Hey growers!

The girls, for the most part, are coming along nicely since their haircut a bit over a week ago.

You'll notice they all look quite a bit different from each other and one seems to be complaining about something, I just don't know what. She's always been a bit of a grump. Maybe someone can weigh in there. Top right in the fam photo.

The middles haven't quite filled in yet on the 2-3 tops, and some others who were topped at 3-4 seem to be bouncing back quite well. One of the slower, less pretty ones seems to have turned a corner (upper left in the group shot).

I let the pots dry to feather weight before I fed them 3g/gal of Megacrop for the first time in a week. I'm really trying to grow the roots to develop on some of the slower ones, and to continue to grow on some of the bigger ones. Watering has to be my major improvement this time around. Thanks @Emilya for that well used watering sticky!

I'll be potting up to 7gal grow bags this week as their growth, plus the LST I did on them, isn't leaving me with too much room to water, and I'm tired of nute splashes. I'm sure they are too.

Thanks!
V

I wouldnt worry about that little bit of leaf damage there in the upper right... she looks to be one that is particularly thriving with that great watering method you are using, and you will find that sort of complaint a lot when the aggressively growing roots hit a side wall and get air pruned. The damage shows you that it occurred, but its lack of progressing any further also shows you that the problem resolved itself. Good job!

Thanks, Emilya. Yeah, it didnt look like a deficency that I'd seen before, and the plant is growing well, so it puzzled me. The root explanation makes sense.
