Some of my white widows are stubby like that too. Only the one plant has 6 inch or so buds. The other 3 are exactly like yours. Frosty thick and stubby.

I know your right about curing process has to do with taste .

420 , I’ve got a few coming up in the middle at maybe six inches! WW is some smooth smoke , the neighbor’s WW came out tasting the same as mine ! About time !
