Barney's Farm Lemon Amnesia

Random Day 18 Cola pic formation looks nice

Update went to flush one of the Amnesia Lemons that is about 1 week behind. Should I continue feeding her N (micro) 1 week longer? or get her on the bloom only?

Otherwise she is 3.5 ft and putting on weight. I saw a layer of salt build up on the top layer hence the flush.

Nice!!

Do you think the Mars 2 is better than the reflector led?? Pros and cons of each?

Hi Ozzy. The reflector had the switch for veg and bloom. Where as my Mars 2 400w is full spectrum and will power up soon as you plug in the cord. In terms of penetration the Mars 2 goes deep! I had alot more bottom budding sites.
If you look at the recent side profile pic you can see that I had topped her once on 5th node. I didn't LST or tie down properly hence the 2 dominant colas stretched.

The Mars 2 is a heavier unit but so far im happy. 4x plants in 3 Gallon containers with poor training techniques Im guessing would still yield decently. The smell and trichrome production is intense in only day 29 of Flowering. Soon as I open the tent I can smell lemony candied oranges from the two strains (I can only imagine the in week five or six.. :circle-of-love:)

Based on my personal experience using both

3w Reflector series
Pros - Fun novelty switches for bloom and veg however I had them both on most of the time.
Light weight and Thin profile can be mounted and placed anywhere easily
No heat increase in tent

Mars 2
Faster Veg to bloom transition - 11 days for All 4 plants short of 2 weeks
Cons - Height profile is 4 or 6x taller then Reflector series

Long weekend so some more happy snaps of my sugar girl.

Pistils are already changing from white to orange colour on this girl she smells amazing like super lemon haze but more sugary and buttery. Could this be because of nute burn or just maturation? I'm giving her 4-5 weeks and will flush in 2 weeks.. unless someone advises me to push longer

Did your stem heal up?

That accidental clone actually survived.. but it took a while to root.

Looking great, lots of trichs!:thumb:

I took an executive decision to cut my loses in the morning and let the plant focus of flowering. she is still flowering just a 3 days delayed due to the accident.

Happy 420 everyone! :Namaste:

I'm in :) Nice looking ladies lex!

I'm on my first grow also. Mine are just in the process of turning orange, and apparently this is the time to withhold nitrogen from the feed (in my case, move on to Week 11(General Hydroponics feeding chart)).

I'll be giving them 2 weeks after this week of maturation (assuming this is only for 1 week) to Ripen using Overdrive, then i'll be flushing. So essentially, i'll be flushing 3 weeks from today.

I'd love your opinion next time your over at mine! I didnt really give my ladies any boosters or anything (call it ignorance) so they aren't huge for how old they are

Lovely ladies though mate :thumb: Keep up the good work

Update - This one looks to be ready 4 weeks from now

For a Sativa pheno she is very fast. I will hunt for this phenotype next time if I do not re-veg.

Her sisters are about 1-1.5 weeks behind they are budding but mostly pistils at this stage compared to this winner so another 5-6 weeks Im guessing

Day 38 Update

The tallest girl @ 3.5 ft' is using all her nutrients 6/9. ph is 5.5 and run off is at 6.0 I will continue feeding her 6 micro/9 bloom for another week as she has alot of white Pistils still. I would say she is actually 1 week behind maybe day 31 rather then day 38

20140430_153613.jpg

Her sisters are doing well for start of week 6 - Day 38. I will emphasis more bloom and maybe use a 2 micro / 9 bloom ratio over the next few weeks so she doesn't yellow out till week 8-9

She looks about 4-5 weeks away from finishing size comparison - 75ml cologne

Hairs are changing colour to 20-35% orange/red. new pistils are forming for another growth burst and existing pistils are still white.
slight sign of orange pistils starting to curl in but low percentage about 5-10%

20140502_064223.jpg

Pheno Aroma - Sweet Cinnamon Super Lemon Haze (Sweeter zesty version of Lemon Haze. A very very sweet sugary dank Slight hint of Amnesia haze from Amsterdam coffee shops smell may change during curing)

While the other girls are packing on bud and look like they are finishing. I think I may have a problem with one pheno

She has many white hairs that are only just turning red/orange but not curled. Is this a long flowering Amnesia haze pheno? maybe hermie? Help!!

haze is sativa is longer than indica
when you about 50-60% red hairs if you have a scope check
what the trichs look like will give you an idea of where your at
the plant will pack on most of its weight in the last 2 weeks so you don't want to chop too early
but also you don't want to chop real late as the Trichomes are degrading
amber is good but you don't want the heads gone and if you wait too long that's what will happen
its mostly a personal preference for most when to chop
don't wait till you see what you want before you flush take into account that 2 weeks you plan to flush as the plant still will
keep maturing till it cant anymore. so say you want 30% amber start to flush around 10-20%
I put a big range in there as all plants are not alike, so its kind of finding where you want to be and after you chop you know what you have to do to get what you want with that same strain and phenotype the next time you grow it
I actually use the breeders info to determine where I want to be but sometime you can stress it and slow it down in which case you
will have to decide wether to give another week or two which I have done with plants, its easier to determine once you have experience with the strains you are growing, most guys here want more amber so they give a week or two more from the breeders timeline
I have given more time and I have followed the schedule of the breeder for amount of bloom weeks
I find it is strain dependent like 60 day wonder I give 70 days give or take a day or two because the trichs can change daily when its really mature.

Mahalo Cronichemphog and thanks for taking the time to drop by!

The breeder suggests 9-10 weeks. Amnesia Lemon (by Barneys Farm) :: SeedFinder :: Strain Info previous growers (indoor) have suggested - Indoor: 66 - 76 days (~71 days)

Educated guess she is at Day 50 of flower (not including 15 days since forcing from 12/12 from a previous 20hr veg period). I need to get batteries for my led loupe but using a 250x macro lens she is about 15% Cloudy so she has some time left

No amber yet present. I'll start flushing soon as I see amber (70% clear trichs in my eyes posted pics below)
