:welcome: to my 2nd grow. On this grow I plan on vegging in my DIY grow box. So I created a new journal for my DIY grow box which is gonna house my clones if they take root as well as my baby plants. My new grow box is 20" wide by 2ft tall by 15 " deep. Its roughly 4 cubic foot. Right now it only has 190 watts of cfl lights in there, but when I get extra $$$$ I will add Y adapaters so I can put more light in there. I plan on adding 2 more 125 watt cfl bulbs for a grand total of 440 watts.

Here are a few photos

Here are a couple photos of the new meds I will be growing. It tasted so sweet and had a real mellow high. It will knock you on ur azz but its not the vegging on the couch and eat muchies all day high either.. I ended up getting a quater of this stuff and only found 4 seeds in the whole bag. This stuff will take ur breath away when you exhale. Trust me...

The seeds I did got are in a cup of water getting ready to pop..

I plan to use {MG} soil and nutes again with this grow as well. I still have alot left over from my 1st grow. So I dont have to buy anything new for this grow. I used an extra bookself and knocked out the middle shelf, added copy papper on the sides and drilled a couple holes in the top to hold the light. The lights I had laying around along with the fixtures. Total cost so far for this grow is $0. I have to love that.

:thanks: for stopping by and I hope to hear from every1 !!!!!!

So I got my pots ready and full of dirt just waiting for those suckers to pop.. I can't wait. I will be using 12 oz cups this time and transplant as needed. I plan on vegging in here and moving them into my main grow space for flowering. That is the plan as of now, who knows it might change. I have to get another timmer though so I can have 18/6 in there. Right now all the lights are ran off the same timmer, so they are all 12/12. I might just grow small plants for something new to do. I'm not really sure.

Any suggestions out there in 420 world?

Damn today I made a DIY cloner I think? I cut a 2liter pop bottle above the label and drilled two holes in the bottom inserted some string to use as a wick put a little bit of soil in there and transported my clones into that. I only saved the best looking 3. I cut another pop bottle about 1/2 way down and used the bottom as a reserve bucket for water. Then I cut another bottle at the top label, use the bottom half to create a dome then drilled some holes so my babies can have fresh air to breath. I dont know if it will work, but we will find out!!:smokin::yummy::slide:

Here are a few phots to explain what I'm talking about:

Total cost of my DIY cloner and grow box is $0 Gotta love looking around the house you never know what you might find.

Let me know what ya'll think!!

Neat cloner
cloning is the only thing i havent tried yet
lets see how it goes blacky might have to try it when i have a plant to clone XD

=D hey blacky can contribute wooot
those cfl look to be emitting a red light
cfl are special gotta get the right spectrum to to the right thing

Get some a bright white and a daylight bulb and watch the plants trive

there are 3 types of CFL
Soft Light - red glow
Daylight - white glow
bright white - blue light

each aids your plant in one way
soft light with its red glow is good for flowering and if placed high plants aim for this light
they wont stretch but they aim for it
lower when you going to start flowering if you using cfl all the way

daylight with what ive seen is what makes plants stretch or gives them the light sprectrum light energy needed to grow
place daylight spectrum bulb near your plants but not above make sure plants see the red bulb clearly

bright light with its blue glow will stimulate new growth in the plant
this is the light you want close to your plants during cloning and veg

=D

Hope I helped out in understanding your new growing environment. And what type of lights to look for.

=D

Thanks Black, it's nice to see ya aboard. That info does help, I'm new to cfl's so any info helps me out.

Hay what's up sonzor, I'm glad u stopped in buddy..

As I stated b4 I try to :slide: my $$$$$ as far as it will go. I hope it works we will see in about two weeks or so. The grow room was something I had sitting around the house and had to tweek a little bit. It was nothing big though.

Signs of a true pot head I guesss....:grinjoint::surf:

I'm here and watching. Lov'n the cloner..LOL..Dont forget to let it breath. To expel the moiste air. Keep in mind that the co2 needs to be exchanged at the least once a day. I'm posted..

Thanks Butcher for your support. I did poke about 6 holes in the top of the cloner, just for that reason. Next thing I'm trying to find a DIY CO2 tank to make.

MI-Grower, Here is some data on the cfl's.

Soft white = 2700K (Kelvin) which is red spectrum.
Bright White = 6500K which is blue spectrum.

There are also inbetween spectrum..bulbs around 5500K, but we only focus on the two, 2700K and 6500K. I go to wally world, lowes or home depot and check on the boxes. They usually have the Kelvin number printed somewhere on them. We are still using CFL's for veggin, as well as a couple of the 2700K bulbs to provide side light in the chamber with the 400 watt HPS.

Thanks GMT for helping me out with that!! Last I checked Menards was the cheapest here for buying them, so I will go there when it's time to by more.

Thanks for that info!!

So its been over 36 hours from when I put the seeds into water and most of them has poped. I planted them this morning about 8:30. I also checked on my clones and blew some hot air a.k.a. {CO2} in there through the holes. I also took a photo. This time around I wont bore nobody with a sh*t load of baby pics like I did with my 1st grow. I did do an exelcent job documenting the changes of MJ though. I will aways be a proud papa, but I know people dont like baby pics, they want bud porn!!!!!
