My First Grow: Georgia Pie

Oh so sorry yes it’s Nevada , I forget there are people here from possibly all over the world, it’s pretty cool. Yes he’s coming with, we go there frequently it’s basically a second home at this point.

I think it’s very similar to growing weed honestly but i think veggies are easier. But i might feel that way because i’ve been doing it for about 7+ years. I’ve never even though about RH or many other things with veggies, usually just the PH but that’s about it. I grow in raised bed’s so I always amend the soil with proper nutrients, but still grow organically. But if you are interested I’d definitely say give it a shot.

Day 79 - Wednesday (2/8/23)

Good Afternoon, I hope everyone is doing well and content this Wednesday. Things are still going pretty smoothly with the girls, I have found that 9minutes and 30 seconds is a great setting for the water pump and they love it. As much as I loved hand watering the plants this might be a staple for future grows. Below you will find a photo dump from today. Lastly I plan on giving all the girls Gaia Green 2-8-4 this Friday before I leave as it has almost been a month since they received it.

In this picture you can see GP2 in the back, GP1 to the right in front, and GP3 is slightly cut off.

I’m pretty happy with how things are going so far. If I could go back and change anything, it would be to start training much much earlier. I have been pruning, watering, as well as rotating the pots.The humidifier is still out of the tent, and has not been needed. It also smells lovely in the tent, very fruity and slightly floral. Surprisingly the smell is completely contained within the tent.. so far. Wishing everyone a happy and safe day.

Trust me I WILL find a reason to go in there daily, even if it’s just to look . I can’t help myself. But realistically I probably could get away with going in one time a week to refill the water and prune and rotate the pots . Thank you, since i am unable to bend the stems I’ve been trying to keep up on the pruning to let the light in one way or another. I hope you are having a great evening

Good Morning everyone and happy Saturday. I am beyond happy it’s the weekend. Yesterday I top dressed the girls with 2-8-4 by gaia greens. I worked it into the soil and top watered it in. According to gaia greens it states 1 tbs per gallon for top dressing so GP1 and GP2 received 4 tbs each, and GP3 received 2tbs. I filled up the water reservoir as well. I am currently in the airport waiting for my flight. I couldn’t take any pictures this morning as I was gone by 5am and lights are out in the tent till 7am. As luck would have it I have been having wifi issues all week so I will be keeping my fingers crossed, technicians came out on Wednesday and the cause was not found Below are a tent pictures from a bit ago today. I hope everything works out as I will not return till Wednesday morning.

Myself and fiancé are not sports fans but for those of you who are, I am wishing you a safe and wonderful superbowl weekend. For those of you who are not, I still wish you a safe and wonderful weekend of course.

Good Morning Everyone, I hope all is well with you. I had a lovely stay while I was away for a few days, and I am happy to report the girls are fine. I cannot give much of an update since I was not here to witness any changes but I did check the tent cam every morning and afternoon to see if they needed watering typically around 8am and 4pm. I opted for two short waterings for 4 minutes and 30 second instead of one long watering. I also monitored tempt and RH which were stable throughout the day and into the night with only slight fluctuations. Upon my return the soil was damp still and the girls did not need watering. Luckily other than the short outage while at the airport before my departure, the internet connect was stable and everything worked as planned and intended

Below you will see tent cam picks from the days I was away and a few pictures I took today upon my return.

These were taken today Wednesday (2/15/23) once I arrived home

I will do some pruning and clean up in the tent a bit later but first a nap as I had a 11:57pm flight and 5:30am arrival

Day 92 - Tuesday (02/21/23)

Good Morning Everyone

I hope everyone is doing well and staying warm and happy. It is slowly starting to warm up here in IL but I know the temperature will dip again so i’m enjoying it while it lasts.

The girls are doing pretty well I haven’t had any issues, they seem more content and less dramatic after installing the water pump.

Things I have noticed: GP2 is the most developed and has the most orange pistils. I am not surprised and will more than likely harvest her first when it is time.

GP3 comes in second in development.

GP1 is third, but it’s okay we still love her.

All of the girls have trichomes, I have to get a loop so I can look at them more closely. Below you will find a photo dump of the girls from today.

I can’t wait to catch up on journals, I look forward to seeing your grows.
Lastly I leave you with a curing question, I know mason jars are tried and true for a lot of growers but I was wondering if anyone has experience with Grove Bags? If so, what did you think about them? As always, all opinions are welcome.

I hope everyone is doing well and staying warm and happy. It is slowly starting to warm up here in IL but I know the temperature will dip again so i’m enjoying it while it lasts.
