Hey Dharma, it's a 4x4 tent and yeah, a 400 watt HID will cover it as long as you're not trying to grow plants that are more than 4 or 5ft tall. I'm actually replacing it with an LED in Oct, but it'll still be getting used for Veggies.

As far as a 4x4 in a studio, you might be able to, but in your situation, I'd probably try a 3x3 and use the tent you have now for veg/clone/seedling/mama plants and your 400 watt light would kick hard in a 3x3, in a 4x4, you're maxing out that size HID light, which I knew when I got it, but my plan has always been LED for the long term and since our sponsor TopLED puts out good, affordable LEDs, I should be able to make the change in Oct if finances stay stable

And thanks for the compliment... I'm really happy with how the adopted Dynasty mother plant and the large mainlined Mystery Machine and I'm stunned at the growth rate on the Auto Candy Kush, the others are coming along well too, but those 3 really have me tickled

Thanks Bill... a little better and I just spent a couple hours transplanting everything in cups in the LED closet to 2L and 1Gal containers. Pooped and hurting now, but satisfied my girls will grow better
