Yeak that don't happen much unless storms here . No far from power plants. And hydro plants so hard to lose power unless it's sub station here.

You turned it on before the water covered the element.Brand new water heater. And doesn't work but find this. Something is a miss here
One things just doesn't belong here.
Yeah we turned it on right before hitting that element what we figured. We let it fill about 5 mins. But took little longer to fill than that.. burnt it right upYou turned it on before the water covered the element.
They must be submerged in water.
Let the air out the hot tap and get a good stream of water before you turn it on again .
