Aero's Blueberry x Foulmouth Indoor Clones In Autopots

Hi All,

I'm growing 4 clones in a 4x4 tent w/ a Gavita 1700 LED. This will be my second run using this light - I got .82 grams per watt last time. I'm hoping to hit 1 gram per watt this go. The Gavita outperformed my old MH/HPS setup by leaps and bounds, and consumed about 2/3 the electricity while doing so. Super impressed!

Last run (DNA Genetics - Sorbet Stash) I did a hybrid of Mr. Canucks grow method... I amended my pots with Gaia Green 4-4-4 and Power Bloom, but switched over to synthetic nutes once I hooked the autopots up to the reservoir. Things worked out pretty well.

I'm switching up my nutrients this time around to Plant Prod MJ. It's a 5 part system and each comes in 15kg bags. Plant Prod MJ has been designed specifically for growing marijuana. Hoping for good things, as 15kg bags are going to last a loooong time. If it works out, I'll save quite a bit of money when compared to the advanced nutrients stuff I used last grow. I've repurposed the Gaia Green to the veggie garden. It's great stuff, and Mr. Canucks method is amazing. I just like being lazy with the autopots more. I can take off for a week and not worry about whether my precious girls are ok.

I'll be scrogging, with a goal height of a 3.5 foot tall canopy. Cheers!

What was your average g/w with your 1Kw HPS?

One of the clones got off to a slow start, but 3 out of 4 aint bad. The little guy is definitely rooted now, and might just end up respectable yet.

These nutes are going to last me years. 15 KG bags and I'm mixing 3/4 of a teaspoon per gallon of water. The clones seem healthy so far.

Will veg for 2 weeks and flip. No topping this time. I want to see some giant colas for a change.

I gave the girls their first haircut as things were getting way too crowded. Also found a few preflowers to confirm that these are indeed girls. This strain is staying really compact and bushy. Like small shrubs almost. I may have to do a little more training and trimming than anticipated.

I'm taking off on a fishing trip for a week, and I'm not too worried leaving them unattended for a while. Such is the beauty of autopots. Cheers!

The girls weathered my absence well. I got in there and gave another solid haircut, as they were really bushing out. Thinking the stretch will be a little more manageable than the last few grows based on their tendency to stay low.

I'll be doing a little more training and trimming, and I will be dropping a scrog net on them soon. Not going to top this time in hopes of getting some massive colas.

I'm seeing some yellow and curled leaf tips. Looks like I might be feeding a little too strong, and will cut my nutes back approx 1/3. Still working out the kinks with PlantProd MJ, but so far so good.

I've been feeding according to this up until now:

Autopot Res 47 Litres

5 gallons – 19 litres

1 gallon – 4 litres

Vegetative

Week 1 (Seedling Germination and Starting)

Apply Plant-Prod MJ™ Boost at a rate of 0.5 teaspoon / 5 litres to ensure adequate phosphorous levels. This will provide a good initial boost to the roots.

Week 2-3 (Vegetative Growth)
Fertilize with Plant-Prod MJ™ Grow at a rate of 1 teaspoon / 5 litres.

Separate feedings of Plant-Prod MJ™ Spike (CaMg) at a rate of 2 teaspoons / 5 litres are recommended to maintain plant rigidity and to support bud formation.

Week 4 (Bud Set)
In order to help the plants set buds, or when the buds are pea sized, feed with Plant-Prod MJ™ Boost at a rate of 1 teaspoon / 5 litres.
Continue supplementing with Plant-Prod MJ™ Spike (CaMg) at a rate of 2 teaspoons / 5 litres as needed.

Flowering

Week 5-10 (Bud Sizing)

Begin feeding with Plant-Prod MJ™ Bloom at a rate of 1 teaspoon / 5 litres. This will encourage full bud set and enhance bud filling. Continue supplementing with Plant-Prod MJ™ Spike (CaMg) at a rate of 2 teaspoons / 5 litres as needed.

Finishing

Week 11-14
Plant-Prod MJ™ Finisher
will help with plant finishing when applied at a rate of 0.5 teaspoon / 5 litres. The higher phosphorous and potassium will benefit the plants in their reproductive stage through to finishing. Switch to clear water 14 days before harvest.

Any Stage

Week 2-10
Plant-Prod MJ™ Spike (CaMg)
can be used throughout the production cycle in conjunction with any Plant-Prod MJTM formulation, mixed in a separate tank. This completely chelated formulation of calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) in a 2:1 ratio avoids the risk of interfering with bud formation, setting and sizing. Rate should be determined by water sample results.

Things were starting to get pretty crowded again, so I've stripped another grocery bag worth of leaves and growth tips to open things up. These blueberry clones would look more like shrubs if I let them go as nature intended.

I'd like to fill about 3/4's of the scrog net before flowering. Vertical growth has been slow, but it's looking like I could flip over to flower within a week or two. Blueberry x Foulmouth seems like a great strain for someone who has height restrictions and needs to keep em' short. We'll see how much stretch takes place soon.

Plus a peek at my tomatoes... first time growing them and it's a lot of fun. I'm using Mr. Canucks method outside in the garden and things are kicking ass. Can't wait for my first homegrown BLT... Minus the B. I'll leave bacon to the experts

Unruly I tell ya, straight up unruly. These shrubs needed another extensive defoliation and pruning. I was pretty aggressive this round... hoping I can start scrogging now that a couple grocery bags worth of leaves and growth tips have been hacked away.

I'm going to give them a week to recover before either flipping to flower, or doing another defoliation if required. Fingers crossed for flowers!

Made the flip to flower today. I have the branches growing in their appropriate squares, and added a second scrog net to help manage the stretch and widen the canopy. I have no suggested harvest time for this strain, will start checking the trichs as of week 7. It's on!

Day 2 of flower.

Things were getting too thick again, so another major defoliation was in order. I stripped a ton of fans, being careful to preserve the growth tips.

I've never had to defoliate as much as I have with this strain. Seems straight indica. It stayed short and wide all throughout veg. Hoping no further pruning is required.

1 week into flower and they may have stretched 3 inches. Haha. These girls are short and thick. The amount of foliage on them in relation to their size is unreal. I've literally stripped hundreds of leaves away, and a week later, it's like I haven't touched em.

I don't want to stress them by stripping more during flower, but I might pull the odd fan leaf that is blocking a bud site going forward. I'm really curious how these things are going to turn out. They'd be perfect for someone with height issues. They are 14 inches tall, and at this rate I don't see them finishing taller than 20 inches. I've never experienced anything like it.

The next grow is in the works... Blue dream and Skywalker OG. Thinking I'll do 2 of each next round

Day 18 of flower and another major defoliation was needed. The leaves are relentless... but we will prevail! Starting to see a little bit of stretch now that budset has taken place. I'm really curious how these girls are going to turn out
