Auto Ultimate - 1050W MH/HPS

Here we go, onto the next one.

After my last successful grow (In my opinion) pulling 14 ounces off 4 plants and 600watts of non cooled hps I have decided to give it another run.

Few upgrades and changes from my last grow:

+New air cooled hood opposed to cool tube
+Actually using air cooling
+New Apollo Purple Reign Ballast - Changes wattage in 30w intervals from 400-1050 watts

And one of the biggest changes in my opinion... I have decided to try my hand at some auto's after seeing Atrain pull some wonderful numbers off Auto Ultimate plants.

Last grow I ended up yielding 0.7 grams per watt I believe, which I am happy with. I want to improve on that and shoot for 0.8 this grow. I would love to have just short of 2 pounds for a few months work.

Edit* This ballast is enormous, it doesn't have a fan and just radiates the heat off with huge cooling fins. It's probably 2 times the size if not more than my old ballast. The bottle was to show its size but doesn't really do so.

Thanks for stopping by! Everything is going well, hope the same for you!!

Plants seem to have been growing a little slowly in my opinion but I think it was overwatering as well as stunting them going from 150w of LED to 400-600w MH right away. Possibly PH issues that have been a problem for me in the past.

Made an addition to my grow today.

I added a 5 gallon bucket to my room to hold water as well as an air stone. The reasoning for this being that is supposedly breaks down chlorine in my city water as well as aerating the water which has gotta help a little bit. I decided I am going to run it full time in between watering while adding some molasses to let it stew and possibly grow some beneficial bacteria..

My plants got stunted pretty badly somewhere along the way. Never had plants grow so slowly, kinda discouraging.

They are starting to pick up a little bit now but I've definitely learned how unforgiving autos can be.

One of the random auto seeds my buddy gave me ended up being a male, so I'm trying to decide if I just wanna scrap this grow and turn it into a little breeding project. He said the random seed was some type of blueberry auto, I'm just
Kinda confused on if all the seeds will be auto if it's an auto x auto cross.

Any input guys? I'll post some pics later but kinda embarrassed as I've never had plants this bad before, ugh :(

Sorry for the inactivity with the thread. I've been very busy at work and my plants have not been doing very well. I had attributed it to some other causes and was lazy about getting to the root of the problem until last night.

I have read before that bubbling water would raise water ph a little bit and I never checked it, the plants have had very twisted growth and grew at slow rates. I checked the ph of my bubbled water I. My 5 gallon bucket last night and it was 8.5+ ugh..... So today when my roommates are gone I plan on flushing my plants a few gallons of tap water at 7.

This has got to be the problem and would assume it's a ph lockout of all the micro nutrients, I will post some pics later and show my sad little plants :(

Few pics before bed, the one smaller plant that started budding super early is the only plant not effected by the high ph didn't need to be flush. The others are flooded pretty badly and hopefully they recover :/

However if they don't, I just planted some 707 truthband seeds I'm gonna veg for 2-3 months to cut my losses.

I've pretty much given up on my 2 auto Ultimates, one is flowering and might I've me some bud that's just okay and the other is shot. Accidentally running them with water at 8.5 ph ruined them and there was no fixing it.

I am going to run 3 more with tap water like I have before and turn this around.

However, one of my random strains given to me that I don't know the name of has turned out quite well considering ph issues.. This plant didn't show any issues the other plants did.
