Brix, Buds & Blades: Knifemaker420's Auto Perpetual Garden

Crikey. I wish I lived closer to.
Hey if my country doesn’t reel its politically prohibitive neck in we are going to have to emigrate to a more enlightened land.
Just a thought. Where are you?
I'm in Alberta Canada

I'm seeing a few ambers...

I've harvested quite a few around this time as well. Now, I give them the extra week.

It's just a preference thing at this point, speedy or couch-locky
LoL
I agree I see few ambers there too

Looking great in the garden Knife! Flowers are developing well in there :yummy:
Slipjoint folder in damasteel (stainless damascus) with wooly mammoth ivory handles, stainless bolsters, liners and pins/tube
That's incredible man! Can i ask how you get those patterns on the blades? I'd buy the fuck outta that! :yahoo::passitleft:

@irie lion The patterns are actually IN the steel not just on the surface. Damascus is made with layers of at least 2 different steels with slightly different compositions. The layers get forge welded together, then manipulated by folding, twisting etc etc. Once the blade is made from the resulting bar(billet) it gets acid etched. The acid will react differently with the 2 different steels exposing the pattern.

That one is sold already but Im always ready and willing to make more :)

I love that Damascus steel man, incredible craftsmanship. Do you make rings, I was looking at them for my upcoming wedding
Thanks yes it is awsome stuff.
Unfortunately I cant make rings. I make my knives by stock removal. I buy the steel in flat bars and cut/grind away everything that isnt a knife. I dont even have a forge I do my heat treatment in an electric knifemaker's kiln.

Update day 67
Just a quick look into the tent as there's really not a whole lot of difference.

Aviendha is packing on the bud she is super frosty and has a nice piney/citrusy aroma hopefully she will bulk up nicely over the next few weeks.

Day 67 update continued....

Finally Min,
Looks like Min has pulled through. Think she has quit stretching and is finally getting some buds forming. I did some lolly popping to clear out all the larfy little stuff burried in the centre and to open it up for air flow/light penetration.

Looking a bit droopy but the lights had just come on.

Thanks for looking,
Have a knife day

All looking good mate, elayne looks tasty
Thanks Tom. Getting very close. The tops are showing some amber but the lower buds are still just going cloudy so gonna let her go a bit longer. Looking good for a birthday joint from my grow is going to be possible on the 18th of August. :)

Looking great in the garden Knife! Happy to see Min is picking up the pace! :yummy:

Congrats on the first harvest Knife! A job well done! Look forward to your smoke report on her!!

Thanks Dutch. Its deffinately been alot of fun and I cant wait to start my next one's.
Actually I'm thinking about starting one now and then another when Aviendha is ready and another when Min is ready. An autoflower perpetual kinda thing. Have a plant ready to harvest every month, one in veg, and one seedling. My Dark Devil Auto seeds are calling my name lol.

Hey all haven't had much time to be online lately so sorry for the lack of updates for anyone who is actually following ;-)
update day 72

Gave the 2 remaining girls a drink on wednsday and they will be needing another soon.
Aviendha(Zkittles) is in full power bud mode. She smells very citrusy witha bit of pine and an undertone of fruitiness. With all the frost I'll get alot more useable trim than I got off Elayne(Gelato) butnI was pretty picky and only kept leaf with noticable frost on them.
Here's the remaining ladies

Continued with progress on Elayne.....

As far as I could tell, Gelato was ready for the jar. The larger stems bent but the smaller ones cracked but didnt break off. So I clipped all the nugs off the fat stems and into the amber glass canning jars I found at walmart. Figured the darker glass might be a good thing to keep light off.
Weight going into the jars is 52 grams :)
I am very well pleased with that for sure!
Very sparkly sticky buds that have a sweet, almost pungently fruity smell.
Also was able to try a small sample of a popcorn bud I left out of the drying box to speed dry. The high was nicely uplifting and energizing. Didnt experiance much if any couch lock from the tester which is what I was looking for as a daytime smoke for me.
Here's a few pictures of the nugs going into the jar.
