ok mate sorry for the delay, here we go
first, you will need trimmers or the like to punch a hole in the ducting.
a philips head screw driver
a flathead screwdriver
duct tape
a spare socket and wire, salvaged from a spare hood is the cheapest route.


next thing your gonna do is unplug your ballast then unplug the hood from the ballast, safety first guys.

i wanna point out that the spare socket is absent in this tutorial as i dont have a spare to spare atm lol, use your imagination.

so were starting with a single bulb aircooled hood

were gonna remove the ducting opposite the side of the current socket, being sure to mark where the lip (to which u strap the ducting) ends, your hole will need to be behind this, going up 3 coils will ensure a good fit.

with the ducting removed we use our trimmers to puncture the ducting behind our 'lip line'

you will now have a hole through which to run your spare wire

be careful not to "pull" the wire through, this will rip the ducting making sealing it tight harder, u want to keep the hole as small as possible. once fed through tape it sealed bothin inside and outside the ducting

now install your spare socket to your newly run wire and screw in the bulb. insert into hood and allow bulb and socket to lay on the glass, reconnect your ducting, and plug ballasts and cords in and enjoy... again please note the absence of the socket in the 2 bulb pic below, use your imagination act like theres one between the wires and bulb.

and your all set. ideally your hood will be slightly larger than the one pictured, its just what i happened to have laying around for demonstration. if you have any issues feel free to ask ill walk ya through it no sweat. also be sure and mark which wire went where on the socket, can get confusing if you dont have much experience with them. goodluck mate!

alright update time, gave the 3 fastest gigabub ladies there final feed today consisting of

3/4 cup worm castings
1/4 cup bat guano (mexican)
1 tsp epsom salt
1 tsp norweigan cold water kelp meal
1tsp fish bone meal
a pinch of azomite
a pinch of humic acid
1 tsp azos
40 ml molasses

they loved it, the buckets are taking there time and the heavy d and other gigabub are a few weeks behind the rest as they went in later. things are starting to look ripe in there and im starting to see deep maroon and purple hues on the suns (night temps are 73, niiice) hoping one of these will fade into a fall sheen that will match its almost grape skittles and kaboom smell. its like walking into a floral shop that waters with welches grape juice and slings skunk out the back haha, anyway enough bs eh? PICS!!

so the fact of it is a bull frog in the pond likes mosquitoes. and tortilla chips?
that said the brain cell OMM has lent me is low on o2 I think I may need to smoke another bowl! yeah that will fix it!

Experimental flash focus and diffusion, as well as yes some post edit shadow and zing! I'm glad you approve mate. I haven't lately but the same effect can be achieved with an led flashlight.
