Ed's 12/12 Tent Version 3

Blueberry Muffin

I finally have one of these flowering, here at 38 days under 12/12 200w LED.

This is a high reaching strain, not ideal for my 5 foot tent. I had to pull down her branches, here is a top down view.

Very pleased with the color and scent, strong grape.

Hoping my cured result is as good as the bit I sampled.

Relatively long flowering time at 65+ days, she has about a month to go yet.

13 days to go yet on this Blueberry Muffin. First of this strain to harvest, looking forward to trying it. Extreme GRAPE smell in flowering state. I wish I had smell-o-vision for you, it's wonderful.

She dominates this photo, others less visible are a Tangerine Sorbet back left, Shoreline bottom left and center rear, and OG Kush bottom right.

Ode to Big Ted 😇
11 12 2022 Ted6.jpg

I'm sure no one here but me knew Ted. You all would have loved him.
Remembering our dear and good friend Ted Theodore A Bechtold . Rest in Peace Dear Friend.
Thanks Vic, Brian, Ronald, Paul and David for those beautiful stories.
Great memories with fine people, thank you.

When I first met Ted in September of 1976 at Fort Hamilton High School, his legend was already well established in my mind having heard 3 years’ worth of ‘Fat Ted’ stories from Eric L. Ted was not at all what I expected, he was better in every way. I can’t vouch for the years prior to 1976, but at that time Ted was not what I would term ‘fat’ – big comes close but here I struggle for a word that combines agile with big –Big-gile? Beguiling was one of his wonderful facets.

I was fairly tall for my age group, and thus had marginal basketball advantage over many school mates UP UNTIL THIS TIME when Ted showed up. Tall yes, but combined with his bulk and agility Ted was a joy to watch, play with, be bested by and learn from.

I was fairly bright for my age group, and always enjoyed new intellectual challenges. Ted brimmed with them and argued them thoroughly and tenaciously. Ted was blessed with a brilliantly bright intellect that bled over to many like me.

I loved music, playing guitar, and still fostered fantasies of contributing to music history. Ted’s natural talent and finger picking prowess blew my mind, and grounded my unrealistic dreams. Though that was the most valuable lesson learned from Big Ted, I did manage to also learn some of his easier licks.

I loved meeting new and diverse people and so did Ted. Ted’s huge heart drew in many of us entering into Fort Hamilton, one in particular was John Cooper. Coop and Ted made an amazing pair and I am grateful to have been a small part of that.

Star Deli Budwisers, mostly marginal but huge quantities of cannabis, Moon Man Park, Leo Kottke, Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers and Hot Fucking Tuna.

I move out of the neighborhood just four years later in 1980, & it’s hard to believe Ted left so deep and positive an impression.

I now treasure even more deeply those last telephone conversations we had leading up to our last reunion when Ted remained Ted, Big Ted, big in heart and big in intellect.

Beguiling Big Love Ted.

I should also have placed onto the take away Ted Memory Table the jar of Tangerine Sorbet cannabis I had in my truck. In his lovable way Ted's spirit has been rightly berated me about this error, thoroughly and tenaciously, and I am thankful.

:cheesygrinsmiley: Harvest day for another 2 today :cheesygrinsmiley:

Opium 65 days flowering :yummy:. Nice fat buds, some too heavy for their stalk :cheesygrinsmiley:

First of the new VA strain Blueberry Muffin at 65 days. A little tall for my short tent. On the plus side, almost no fan leaves left to trim :cheesygrinsmiley: beauty is in the eye of the beholder?

and trimmed...

Both are too stinky for inside drying, at least on day 1.

Nice bud. :thumb:
Love that lighter too.;)
How is everything going Ed ?

Consumption wise, I am into Crop King Mystery Auto #2 and it's pretty fekkin good. :yummy:
Too bad I can't rave about the strain, oh well Crop King, here lies a lesson not learned, label yo strains.
12 21 2022 Mys Auto 1.jpg

😳Meanwhile, Merry Christmas from the pest community - Spider Mites are back. This time, I was on it a lot faster. Employing every tool in the arsenal, step one is a fogger in each tent, sealed up and fans off overnight. One more fogger in front of the fan in the veg corner. Step 2, up the strength on my Neem foliar spray to 'heavy infestation' with daily applications to EVERYTHING. I will repeat this Neem spraying everyday, and then repeat the fogger process in 5-7 days with another week of Neem to follow. Step 3 is double strength SNS pest control in the water. Step 4 is increase CO2 in non ventilated tents overnight. Step 5 are daily appeals to God.

There's 7 in flowering, with one 2 weeks due. I may need to wash some upcoming bud on account of the Neem. The price we pay.

There's never a good time for pests, but now is particularly bad because yields are finally coming up. I haven't weighed this OG KUSH out yet but it looks to finally exceed 100 grams.
