She's been super thirsty the past week. But I'm a bit stumped why my pH is dropping along with my ppms.....I started off with 380 ppm at 5.6....as the days went on pH stablized at 6.0, 2 days later with 300ppm..after that ppm kept dropping steadily but pH started dropping to 5.5 5.6 and that's where it's been...she's almost making her own home down there unless there is shiz going on I don't understand/know.....thoughts?

last check 10 mins ago was 5.5 @ 230 ppm...res change soon to refresh the nutes

Boy do I have updates for you guys....

My 1st ever plant I started indoors is showing male...[#1 which is outdoors] so he's going byebye.....:byebye:

Now my DWC bucket has been going nuts the past 2 days. pH and ppm going crazy. I put ph down at 6.1 last night, woke up to it being 7.1 and a loss of about 50ppm....I did a res change and I did half strength flower and half veg causeeee, she showed me she's happy today. and on Monday it's 5 weeks, it's time I don't have the room yet. I would of loved a much larger 1st run but I think I'm gunna need to start looking for a much sooner end then I had in mind :( that's life!

Cheers to all and hope you're having a good weekend so far! KiG

So I'm thinking of switching to 13/11 the beginning of the week...I need to figure something out for the other plants that are still in veg. I think I may have a way to have 1 veg area and 1 flower area for now, but the veg would be a seriously Jimmy rigged setup...but I don't think that's an issue lol as long as the plants have light and air...as of now I'm only wanting to flip the JH1 and Tall Boy....the other ones would be going into the "new" veg area.

Thoughts? :thanks:

So here's the most likely temporary veg spot until I can afford a tent. it's 2 1/2 ft x 3 ft x idk the depth. it'll work long enough until I can put them in with the other 11/13 or 12/12 girls [haven't decided yet on schedule.]

I defol'd a bit more underneath JH1 and added a 23W 27k CFL for supplemental lighting under her canopy ...it works out that I chopped off one of her nodes so early, I'm left with a nice open spot for the light lol...that mistake will clearly effect the yield :tokin:

Too bushy for the small amount of room she has right now...

Is a period of darkness always necessary before switching to flower, or is it suggested thing to do? And for that length of time I've read of the difference between 24 to 36hrs and I think I'd stick with 24 for now if I were to do it.

I plan on up potting the 4 that will remain in veg. SSH and JH2 will go in 3 gals, to most likely finish in. And the smaller 2, Tiny and Twisty, will most likely go into 1gals until sex is determined.

My only conundrum is what to do with Tall "Boy"..I'm pretty sure I will up pot it. I'm guess my only reason against would be the stunt from transplant right before flower. But seeing as I'm not too concerned with the yield I get from these bag seeds, that's my temptation to just leave it in the 1 gallon and fire in the hole! lol

All thoughts welcomed and appreciated :Namaste:

I do what nature does, and just flip. Honestly, unless you're in a volcanic area, there's no place on earth where the summer/winter boundary is set off with 24+ hours of dark. Just flip. I tell you, all the extra shit people do - high brix, weird flowering schedules, binging and purging and flushing and facey-spaces...it makes like .0001% difference in the long run. Just grow the plants, feed them nutes, put them in flower, and harvest. No fuss, no muss, no drama. <=>

Here's the not finished temporary veg spot. my only concerns are heat/air flow but using CFLs in there, I don't think heat will be too bad. Tall boy still needs to be transplanted, I ran out of perlite. All transplanted will get a nice foliar drink of the transplant recipie, on the recipe for sucess + some extra calmag.

Had an uh oh moment when I check in the veg area this morning. the tape let go of the light and it slowly fell on Twisty, as the pictures show.

I'm switching to 12/12 tomorrow morning. I have a few hours to figure out exactly when I want them on/off. I'm thinking 5 hours after veg kicks on, so they'd run 12 hours together. My veg starts at 5am goes till 11pm [17/7]. Blah, I've been so lazy lately, at least the weather outside is starting to get in gear. It's supposed to be in the 90s today. I just hate the humidity! KiG!

Alright frenchy. I'm just writing for a bit of info if you can help me out at all m8. I got some jiffy pellets which I been led to believe are just the same as coco. Now I'm going to be starting off some nyc diesel in these pellets I have after I have germinated obviously but if the pellets are the same as coco then there will be no nutritional value to them. Should I be adding some sort of nutes at all or would they be way to young for anything like that and would they do fine on their own

they'll be fine for pretty much 2 weeks with just water. Same with rapid rooters and rockwool [although some people will do like 1/16th nute with rockwool since it's inert.]

my first bag seeds [first pics of the journal] were started in jiffy pellets

Oh that's alright then nice 1. I'm actually transferring them into some stuff called bio bizz all mix and some perlite I have ordered. Don't know if you have heard of them. I was just gonna have an experiment with em

I've really have heard/seen nothing but good results from bio bizz products.[not endorsing, but from observation] I almost bought their hydro line but went with technaflora instead.

Ok kool mate. I'll let you know how I get on. Yh I heard a few ppl say it was good stuff so I thought I'd give it a go. I'd imagine it would be a lot less work as u don't add nutes till about half way through the grow from what I've been told

so I forgot to change my timer for 12/12 last night. but I just did that so tomorrow will for sure be the first day of 12/12.

I transplanted tall boy into a 3 gallon and placed it outside. JH has the whole box to herself! I need to get on getting a tent asap cause I know the scent will be killer in a very short period of time. Hopefully if finicials support it, I'll be ordering one within 1-2 weeks.

Cheers! :passitleft:

The day after I transplanted the SSH JH2 Twisty and Tiny they all were perking up, praying to the sun gods, thankful for their new homes. They've done exceptionally well, especially the 2 bags seeds, twisty and tiny.

Here's JH2. Doing exceptionally better than the other plants in my opinion but I think it shows for itself....[37 days above ground]

Here's Twisty. Rebounded very quickly considering I absolutely botched the transplant [couldn't find a pot big enough] and then got burnt the night/next morning after the transplant...Trooper none the less....[also 59 days above ground]
