GreenThunder Dips Into Hydro

I got knocked down with the flu this week and my hydro hero suffered a bit

I finally had a bit of energy last night and when I checked on her the water level was very low. I managed to mix up a gallon to feed her but she's way overdue for a res change. I'll do that tonight and as soon as she's healthy I'm flipping her. I think I'll flower her out in the qb closet rather than move her to the tent.

Felt a bit better this week but still have a deep cough and congestion in head and chest. Then my damn water heater sprung a leak. Hubby commented that the hydro bucket is leaking... but I knew that to be impossible. The next day, his friend helped us pick up the new one at the depot and helped swap it out! We'll give him a jar of grape ape and one of psycho in exchange for the help. It's grand to have such friends.... it would have sucked to have to bring a plumber into the room where the tent lives! Also, I am thankful this happened before snowfall. I still need to go under the trailer to replace a bunch of insulation and vapor barrier. Hopefully a future weekend will include a dry spell.

Well I’ve failed my hydro hero clone but she is sooooooo forgiving. After I got her res change ready, I opened her bucket and found very little water (yes, again!)

I added two gallons and did some pruning and she’s happy as can be! Damn I love hydro!! She’s been by far my easiest plant and doesn’t even blink at neglect of up to a week.

I'm adding a gallon every 3-4 days. She's definitely drinking a LOT! But what a difference from coco with its every night feeding and extraction. I'm loving hydro!!

I had hoped to flower her under the qb but I've waited too long and she's gotten too big.

I am gonna have to move her into the tent. I think I'll take a couple clones and flower them in the qb closet. I am determined. Also, this will be my first time taking clones from a clone.

That's going to be a huge plant in flower! Looks like you might need to do some defoliating just before you flip to expose all the lowers and get the airflow down under.

I'm going to take a couple clones but I think you're right. I've done quite a bit of pruning but that seems to have just promoted growth. She is beastly :ganjamon:

She was drinking a gallon a day but I put an end to that with a major pruning last night. Didn't have the umph to take pics as I was racing a temporary burst of energy. But here she is, in the tent for flowering and 'up potted' into the 12 gal tote.

She needs more pruning but I'll give her a couple days to recover from the attention. This one thrives on neglect!

Now for the problem child... I'm learning no grow room is complete without one.

My Laughing Buddha clone seems a bit angry, battling brown gunk in the roots. I found her airstones to be severely lacking

I found this (hopefully) cool air stone alternative online and hooked it up tonight with a batch of Florakleen

Seems to have good bubbling...

Even though it doesn't seem to be firing on all cylinders...

(Underwater shot!!)

Looks like the diy ones I make

I found to many corners limit the bubbles in areas, just like yer seeing
But they work great, probably be the way I go for all my bubblers moving forward
