Heavenly Hybrid’s Hideout: Jump In Anytime

Sorry to hear about the bud rot, HH but I'm happy you caught it before it caused anymore damage.

Oof! Sorry about the bud rot HH, been there and done that a couple of times. I agree with Shed about the cloudy trichromes. Plus, if you do find her too racy perhaps you could blend her with some Kush? :cheesygrinsmiley:
Thanks ladies! I’m hoping for a good turn out on this one, she’s a fave for sure. Haha! Yes to blending!!!

Too bad about the bud rot on your CPK, but looks like you caught it early and still have quite a nice haul. I saw a good amount of cloudy trichs, so I think you'll be happy with the smoke on her. :circle-of-love:

Thanks Beez, I lost one big top and one medium, so it really could have been so much worse. I count myself pretty dang lucky. I have a little cpk bud that’s nearly dried, so I’ll give it a try in the next day or so!

Happy Friday buds! Now that I’ve got one less plant in the 4x4, it’s much easier to check on those back row beauties. With that, I do believe blackberry kush is ready for chop! I’ll wait another day or so, but she’s coming down soon. Here’s a few trich pics

I finally was able to get to her and lift her pot to see how thirsty she is... or isn’t! They have been on an every other day feeding schedule the whole time, she was due for watering yesterday and today she was still heavy af, so her drinking has slowed for a while without me knowing

I also checked on Mango kush, but she’s not ready yet and still drinking.

She’s soo greazy!

And ol OG kush. She’s gonna be a beast to trim since I never lollipopped her.

Her larf will just go to the trim bin anyway, so I may let her dry and then strip the lower stems like rosemary. I did it with my Candida grow and it sped things up considerably.

Well, that’s the haps for now. I hope you’re all doing well and your gardens are green!

Blackberry K looks ready to go! Hiding in the back is obviously the best way to get to harvest time. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Mango K really shows off the stacking with good lighting :thumb:, and with your trim-drum, is larf even a problem on the OGK?
Very glad to have your blessing Shed! I’m thinking I’ll trim up ~1oz of the blackberry go in for low and slow. And I’m so happy with this mango girl, her buds are stout! I’m glad I got a cutting of the mango to reveg, she may prove to be worth having around for a bit.

As for the trim bag, I do still have to cut them off the stem, it’s considerably faster if I can just cut off the good buds and then strip it off the stem. Also, I won’t have to sort them out from the grown up buds after their spin in the drum. ;)

Oh baby, I would totally hit that BBK - just perfect for me!
Lol, thanks Felipe! I’m looking forward to it! Hopefully a little sleepy with those ambers showing.

Hi again buds! I’m feeling eager, so I’m going to jump right in! I think the harvesting is about to begin. :cheesygrinsmiley: We’re two days shy of the 8 week mark (55 days) in the 4x4 kush kingdom. Mostly I’m looking at CPK right now; last time I harvested her at 59 days and all who tried the CPK really enjoyed it. I took a few trich photos of cpk and mango kush, but mango isn’t there yet. Here’s what I saw with cpk.

I should probably take a tester bud and do a quick dry in a canoe over the toaster, or something. But it looks to me to be about the same as last harvest. I wish I had taken some photos to compare to, relying on my memory probably isn’t the best thing.

I still need to take another look at blackberry kush. It’s so intimidating when they’re in the back row, I don’t feel comfortable taking either of the front two out before they’re ready for chop. I’ll figure it out. Maybe it would be best to let blackberry go long anyway? Some sleepy time meds?

I have a small refrigerator in the garage now and I’d like to use it for some low and slow for about an ounce or so each of these kush girls. I bought two new packs of jars, so I’m considering the jars with cheesecloth top? I think GDB recently did it that way. Paper bags are good too, but I just have one small drawer and I though maybe the jars would do better? Lol, some stoned ramblings here! :ganjamon:

I’ll be taking more looks at trichs coming up soon, so stay tuned. Hope all is well with you and your gardens are green!
You remembered right. I do low and slow in mason jars with cheesecloth tops. But if I have the space I'll do paper bags too and they get done a little quicker.

I like the way you can put in a full jar and then watch it shrivel down to about half or slightly more than half. And it's easy to tell when they're getting close to ready without any kind of humidity reading. Just shake the jar! When they start to make a nice clinking sound against the glass they're ready to be cured.

Harvest update!

Blackberry kush was harvested last night at 64 days blooming. She’s short, leafy and floppy.

I was planning to do some low and slow with this one, but after taking off all her fans, I just didn’t have any more trim-energy for the night and she is SO leafy. I think I’ll let the trim bag handle this girl. So they all were hung for a dry trim. (Go Hawks)

I turned off one of the lights in the 4x4, which is a big relief. I’ve been battling the heat in there for the last few weeks and now it’s just right. :thumb:

With two plants down and two plants not drinking much, I feel the weight of watering lifting, what a relief! Just gotta power through a few more harvests coming down the line.

I hope all is well with you and thanks for sticking with me through the madness!

Hello
You have some beautiful plants.
Your photos of the trichomes are fantastic. Would you mind sharing what kind of camera/scope you are using?

What up, Sexy thumbs!?!?;)
Congrats on another successful harvest. :high-five:

Glad you can get some relief from the extra heat and the schlepping of the H20.

So...what the plans for the next grow? Taking some time off first?

Thank you Gabby and welcome to the hideout! I use a lens that clips on to my iPhone

I also use a cheap tripod that came with a clicker to take the photo and I think that is what has made the biggest difference for clearer photos. Anytime I try to take the picture manually, it moves the camera just enough to make it blur a bit.

Lol, thanks VG. Yes, a little break through at least august/early September. I’m not even sure what to grow after that. A couple of seed fairies delivered so many good choices, I may have to just draw out of a hat!
That was a bushy gal! :yummy:
Congrats to another one down!
:welldone:
Thanks Felipe! Hopefully the trim bag can handle all that leafage. :D

Congrats on the harvest, HH!
