How Do I Unsubscribe From threads -receiving notifications in my e-mail?

How do I unsubscribe from receiving notifications in my e-mail about replies to threads I have been in? Specifically please as if I were a five year-old...

Highlight user Cp(top left) then click settings.....then click general settings on the left
Also under user CP/settings/subscriptions....click "selected thread" on the bottom right for more options to threads you are subscribed too.

Yep if you then choose the option to get notifications through user cp only. You then stop all emails being sent

Another fast and easy way to unsubscribe from a thread is: you can go to Thread Tools above the thread and then click on Unsubscribe from this Thread.
