Indoor LED Start - Outdoor Finish - Bag Seed - Soil

Day 21,
I have removed all of the perlite layer from the top of the pots as I have been having a few issues with fungus gnats and I found the perlite was holding the moisture in the top soil for longer than I preferred, It seems to have started drying the soil much more evenly just after one night, I would recommend only using a layer of perlite if the temps are high enough to evaporate the water, or the air circulation is strong enough to remove moisture from the soil, I may re-add this layer in a few weeks.
Anyway, I have continued the LST of both plants, any they are responding well, the side branches are now extending well, I have also trimmed back the big fan leaves that were shading the lower nodes.
If anyone has advice on this please go ahead and share, I love to know about anyone else previous experiences with a similar sized grow,
Now for the big question:
How much longer should I let the side/node branches grow before switching to 12/12 as I need to do this ASAP so my plant stays low?

Pics of the trimmed plants with LST:

:thanks:
She likes her work out, bend and stretch:cheer:
I only have plain perlite in the bottom of pot, it helped me with my over water issues I had in the beginning.

UPDATE:

It looks like my plans to flower early are going ahead regardless now, My 6400k CFL has officially done its innings and burnt out (just my luck)
Iv had to swap out for my 2700k and I figured stuff it and iv reset my timer to make the 12/12 switch after lights out tonight.
On the plus side, It willl make my grow a little more exciting instead of waiting a few more weeks for the flowering.
:thumb:
Wish me luck.... Im almost certain (and hoping) my 450w LED will arrive tomorrow.

In my last update I mentioned how my 130w 6500k CFL is no more...
I have already jumped on eBay and purchased a replacement, but this time instead of getting a single 130w CFL (at nearly $100 friggen dollars) for vegging/cloning,
I went ahead and purchased a pack of 2x135 5500k CFL ($19.98 AUD) and also a e40 to e27 adaptor as well as an e27 splitter to give me a total of 270w for veg/clone.
s-l1600-2.jpg

which according to the spectrum chart for cannabis will actually produce a better colour for chlorophyl production or vegging/cloning and have almost double the lumens than my prev (now broken) 130w CFL.
I think these are a must for any CFL grower with limited space.

Cheers & Happy growing.

I do like the CFL for veg. I had both LED bulbs and CFL in the beginning. good choice :thumb:
I dont know if it is ok to post link in here, but you will find out.

UPDATE:

GREAT NEWS! :cheer:
I received some special gifts from Herbie's today with exceptional stealth I might add.
If you are an Aussie (QLD) grower I can verify that Herbie's are good to go!

No more guessing with bagseed, Watch this space!

DAY 22

First day of flower and the lateral stems are stretching up toward the light, still no sign of LED yet.
I think these plants will have to go outside now that my Auto seeds have arrived.
see what happens.

UPDATE: DAY 23

LED HAS ARRIVED!
I have cleaned out the tent and removed the CFL reflector along with all the other cluttered mess that comes with it,
The 450w VIPARSPECTRA is installed, the tent is now so much cleaner and organised!
I should have done this a long time ago!!
Heres some pics to show you guys just how damn neat this is now, with such a little space I think having a streamlined, clutter-free environment is crucial.

I think the indoor looks better personally. And as for Herbies,I wouldn't go anywhere else. Pay for the insurance and you can't loose. I had one get nabbed out of five and that was before it hit Australia. And money back in 2 days and reordered. 100% germination. What else can I say. Your plants look on track there. The outdoor will be much bigger in two weeks.

Hey AussieBlue,
Ill answer it all in one post mate to save spamming myself lol.
These pics are all the same plants (just different light) and they are in their 2nd day of flower, Ill also be recommending herbies to everyone mate I'm so stoked they came through.

The tent is the smallest available 50cm x 50cm x 100cm, my missus wouldn't allow me to get a bigger one as I sold my monster tent just before buying this one, but i will be buying one double size in a few weeks/months, this little Harvemax tent is just so stealthy.
I figured if i grow some autos especially a short strain with a scrog ill be fine (here's hoping).

That light looks awesome..... can't wait to see what it does for your girls...

Thanks buddy,
Wish me luck :thumb:

Day 24:

Both plants are happy as hell after introducing the LED,
I snapped a couple of pics on my DSLR camera this time to get max detail.
I have started adding nutes, which is a half strength mix of Aquasol (look it up and tell me what you think).
Cheers.

Notice the very bottom lateral stem on plant 1, I snapped it by accident when my thermometer fell onto it... I think the plant doesn't care though funnily enough its responding like a super cropped stem.
