soil + baking soda = bubbles soil is acidic

How to do PH up and PH down:
0 -6.9 from acid to neutral add: lime
7 -10 from alkaline to neutral : ground coffee. lemon peels

Thanks for that angry Bird.
Been doing some research on this and yes you are right about the lime.
Lime raises ph but can burn roots so it must be added slowly which can take months to raise depending on how far it needs to go.
Wood ash also does the trick but needs to be mixed into soil before planting.
Organics also has to be mixed in with soil and has slow ph recovery.
Baking soda also works and does not damage plant and will raise ph in 24 to 48 hours .
There are a few other options but has to be mixed in with soil.
I did the baking soda trick and will update to how it worked out.
A tablespoon to a gallon water. I tested it and it was 8.5 . I'm thinking just adding ph up to tap water to 8.5 might do the same thing. Will look into it.
