Jonwayne's Bag Seed - Rookie Grow - Winter 2015 Journal

Thank you, cheers mzsiroz... yes grab a seat, I'm gonna finish this one, and pickup on my up and coming right after. I'm learning and have learned so much this round. That I don't want to stop, I'm gonna cram all the info I can get up. Wish I had found this place sooner. I've been growing for years not knowing half of what I've learned the past 3 months. great things to come.

How cold is to cold during dark period in bloom. After our heat wave we have record breaking low temperatures this weekend. My low temp on my meter is getting as low as 64-68 and even 57 one day. . .

I've seen my outdoor plants thrive In lower Temps down in the fall before harvest. I just didn't know how these indoor would hold up. They seem fine, I'm gonna try to keep them a little warmer @ night with a small heater I found. I've done a little research and it looks like it's more of the strain your growing, they can handle different Temps. All is well, photo updates coming. I just fed both of them last night, witch will be the last time the bigger girl gets fed anything but ph balanced water. I might feed the smaller plant 1 or 2 more times, it has a much shorter cycle in the smaller pot. Feeding #1 in 5 gal every 10-11 days, and #2 in 3 gal pot every 3-4 days. There at day 42 in flower

Just came home to see that my girl in veg is indeed a female. Started preflowering about a week ago, and I just seen a few pistols on her. Whoo hooo! That makes 3/3 for plants that survived until they showed sex. Never had this happen, I've always had atleast 50% males from the bagseed I've grown. But since I started this indoor growing, every plant that I've had show sex has been female. Luck or what, I've yet to pull a male purposely. I've lost a few along the way. Took 2 clones from the female I just discovered. First try so I dunno weather they'll root or not. Bud shots coming when there has been significant growth.

Well had some photos of the roots off my plant in veg I was gonna ask you guys about. But after uploading I went to attach them to this thread and it no longer gave me the option to copy my original photo to past it here any more. I just recently updated and it changed everything. Gonna have to figure out another way I suppose to finish this journal. Sorry guys, anyone have a similer issue.

Ok this looks like it will be larger images than I've been posting. Thank you Mzsiroz, this is much easier than the way I had been attaching it.
These are the roots on the plant, that I believed to be root bound before transplant. Just the very next day after transplant the girl looked much happier in the bigger pot. Didn't seem to show and signs of shock from it, she went right back into growing. Witch is great, my transplants usually wilt a few days after from the shock. But since I started using a new mix of soil and sprinkling root hormone on the roots during transplant. Keeps the plants from goin through any shock.

Haha for sure. . . As soon as I'm off these 7 12 hour shifts I'll get some posted up. The last few days and there @ day 47 now, I've started to see more and more pistols turn and buds starting to swell up nice. I don't think I'm gonna have the biggest harvest this go. But I do think it's gonna be decent stuff, the small one for sure. Every leaf on the tiny girl is frosted over, I love it. Excited about this first indoor jarvest!

These little plants are chugging right along in Flower here. @ day 49 or 50 I forget, they seem to be right on schedule. This bagseed strain is looking like it might finish up in the 65 to 70.day flower range, the little one is a tad further along than the one set up in a scrog. There @ about 50% pistols turned, and 25%-75% cloudy-clear trics. Caylix's swelled up in the past 2 weeks. Other than that nothing really goin on just ripening up. I want to be patient and wait until there fully matured before I harvest. The 5 gal potted plant got its last round of bloom feed yesterday, the 2.5 gallon pot dries out a little faster so I'm gonna fees it bloom nutes probably just one more time it's next dry cycle. Then it's just gonna be ph'd tap water from here on out. Hopefully I have around only 10 or say days left if I've timed it right. Anyways enough rambling here is a little sugar coated bud porn for you guys!

And a little preview of the next one goin into flower as soon as there is room. If I hadn't tied the 2 main colas down after a topping, this one would be around 2.5' from the soil. But with the lst it's right @ 12" from the soil, gonna be a nice bushy weed. With tons of tops, hoping for a better yeild this 2nd go at it. Big difference in the plants I started with and the ones I'm vegin now. What proper feeding and nutes will do for one.

I'm not feeding these girls nothing but ph tap water here on out. Checked my trics last night, tiny is @ mostly cloudy at this point no amber yet, I'm waiting for the amber. Not a little behind tiny is the bigger girl and she is @ 50/50 clear/cloudy, still alot of white pistols on her still. also waiting for amber to show on her. When would be a good time to flush these girls, would like to flush the small one a couple times. I'm gonna let the big one be, it's in a 5 gal bucket with minimal drainage and crap soil, I think it would do more harm than good to flush her.

Me and the girls are right now on the home stretch, I'll not bore you with any more of the same bud shots, as nothing has really changed since the last. But I will get some before and after harvest pics up here in the next 2 weeks. I e also read where you can dunk and wash your buds during harvest and it will give you a better final product. If I have time u will compare those that get washed with the ones that dont. So if you don't hear from me in the next few days don't worry, I'll be back to finish this journey properly. Been a great experience, stay medicated my friends.
