Looking like I have a problem on my hands. Well, I consider it a problem. First, my lights come on at 7:30 PM. I did this for temperature and electrical price considerations. What I didn't take into account is the inside of my grow tent getting 85 F+ with the lights out.
I live in an old house, built in the 1930's with no insulation. The tents are down in the basement. There is a solid wooden door at the top of our stairs that is conneted to our sun porch/laundry room. There is also an exterior screen door net to the basement door. That little fan is pulling in hot air during the day.
I'm currently running the exhaust 24/7. Last night it got down to 55 F with the lights on. Right now, at 12:30 PST, it is 84 degrees inside the tent with the lights off. I'm getting worried that I'm going to get a tent of hermies. I read some where that A Trains have a knack for herming. So, I guess Ii need to put the exhaust fan on a timer and see if that helps.
It can get 130 F here. I have to get this fixed, and on the cheap real quick.
