Nice @Plant Daddy
? Do you flush the soil or use enzymes or anything or do you just add amendments each time?
Whenever I've re-used it's been ok but not great for some reason which I don't understand
I've killed a fair few seedlings with re-used - any idea why?

Welcome to the 420 family brother :welcome: nice work on training your lady 👌🏽 I might get back into some training but hate climbing thought deep tents with the little space I have!

Looking forward to hearing about your experiences growing and watching how you get a grow done! ✌🏽

Edit: just realised your a older member then me but posting in the introduce yourself 😂 let's skip the first line!

Great to see you Roy. I'm not a organic soil guru. But anytime I burnt seedlings was due to hot soil. It's been a minute but thought you grew in coco? Sorry for the hijack

You too GainsvilleGreen

I don't flush the soil. I usually don't water until runoff. This grow I had to do a couple dry backs to get rid of gnat infestation. I watered until I got runoff and let the pot soak it back up.
It's all new to me. I will be using reused soil next grow for the first time. Last grow I removed root balls and put soil in some big bins. I added worm castings and Bokashi and let it cook for over 3 months. I will add Gaia Green Amendments before using.

I find training them this way gives me the freedom to remove them from the tent if I want too. I'm looking at and hoping to build self supporting 2x2 scrogs... I see they are starting to sell them...

I'm old and got frustrated looking for a place to post. I was high too!!!

I'll be posting daily.. showcasing each girl..

🙏 Thank you

I always start them out using Happy Frog. I learn my lesson a long time ago. Nothing too hot until the last up-pot.

Yeah makes sense, I would say building one would still be cheaper but after the F ups and stress you'll always think I should have bought one lol.

Give me a shout if you get a new grow journal going. I was going to try some of that kushmans chiropractics on a few of my plants this round 😎

looks beautiful ~:thumb:

I will be using reused soil next grow for the first time. Last grow I removed root balls and put soil in some big bins.
After the harvest I tend to leave the soil in the pot for a month or more without letting it dry out completely. When needed I will dump that into a large metal bucket/tub of about 15 gallon and mix it together. Using a hand trowel to chop up any remaining roots and they mix right in.

I look it as a way to recycle the minerals and nutrients that the plant absorbed to grow the roots.

At times I have mixed up a new batch of soil to add. With the two large tubs and what is resting in the pots post-harvest plus what is in the pots that are currently growing plants I have to believe I have at least 60 gallons of soil. Most likely there is some in the mix that was part of the first 10 gallons of soil I mixed up back in late fall of 2017.

No need to remove the root mass before putting into the big bins you have. There are growers who have pots holding 15 gallons or more of soil. They will harvest and cut off the old stem and then start a new plant in the same container without dumping it out or removing the old roots.

I still plant to use Happy Frog in seedling and young veg. I throw the used soil in some large bins and take out root ball. I then add

It was a 6 and a half weeks veg. I was trying to go as long as I could. I have a runt and I was trying to give her as much time as possible. The Super Skunk was so big I had to go into flower.

I watched Kyle Kushman's video on defoliation, lollipopping and chiropractics and have done it ever since. I probably won't be doing a journal. I put all my grows up on youtube. I'm not allowed to put links.
