Organic Biscotti 2.0, The Plug By Fudo

We’ve been talking about growing Biscotti for a while now. It’s a very popular strain around here and I have yet to try it, growing or smoking. I was originally going to run all Sativa’s this time but the Biscotti 2.0 got my attention. Everyone seems to love Biscotti so I thought I’d see what their 2.0 was about. I got 6 seeds and will probably pop 3 and run 3 clones from the last grow beside them. The Acapulco Gold, Kali China and Alaskan Purple were all keepers, at least for another run anyway

So here’s what we’re working with.
Strain: Biscotti 2.0 by the Plug seed bank. Thc is north of 25%.
Medium: Organic super soil, my own mix.
Pots: 7 gal fabric
Lights: 2, 350w Budget led boards, 3500k. And 2, 300w cob rigs, Luminus cxm 22 3000k 95 cri.
Nutes: Terpinator and recharge. That’s about it. Maybe a tea or two. My soil is pretty dialed in and hasn’t required much of anything.
Exhaust: Can fan pro and can-lite filter. The only air filtration system I’ve ever tried that worked.

I reconfigured my lights to run the width of the room instead of the length. There’s far more even coverage this way. What allowed me to do this was putting in a smaller filter to replace the 40 inch’er I used last time. Although it worked perfectly, it was a bit over kill.

Got the room cleaned up and the lights hung.

Took the tops off the bins for a little rain water. It’s the best kind.

The clones are looking healthy. I might be taking clones of the clones, they’re bigger than I thought lol.

And last but not least, the all important delivery.

Have a great night. :yummy:
professional set up _ can't beat Budget Led's have two myself one full spectrum one Red spec. If one is growing sativa's (100% or dominate sativa's) found that the red spec board really helps and can use this light for sexing (male/female) reg seeds no need to change light spectrum just cycle (12/12 if you want) the plant will sex itself with the red spec.light even with no cycle change (18/6 to12/12)

Thanks man, I’ll keep that in mind. I do love the Budget’s, they’re 3500. The cobs are 3000 for a little extra red. I was thinking of adding red or maybe a uvb bulb. It’s fun to play with it…

Day 25 of flower

The girls each got a gallon of water with a heaping tsp of Recharge. They’re definitely drinking more so I’ll be watering every other day now adding whatever I think they might need as I go. A gallon was just enough to get it seeping out the bottom. The pots weren’t dry but they definitely needed the gallon.

I think the soil will be ok. It did fine last run and I was pretty liberal re-amending it. So as long as I keep the beastie population up I shouldn’t have any problems.

Good morning. So for those who may be wondering why I use so much Recharge here’s the explanation. 1) my water is chlorinated. It doesn’t contain chloride and is ph 7 so I can use it. I let it sit out 24-36hrs to dissipate the chlorine, the extra Recharge is to help replace whatever the residual chlorine has killed. 2) And last but definitely not least, it’s free. It was bought in bulk and given to me. Otherwise it’s too expensive to use so much. Have a good day.

Day 27 of flower

Today they took just over a gallon of water each with 5ml Terpinator and 5ml cal-mag. I use 5 gallon buckets to hold the water. Each one got 4 tbs of Epsom salts. Just trying to keep ‘em green.

Day 28 of flower

I know I’ve been making a lot of the color lately, but I honestly believe I can tell the difference in color daily and it depends on the amount of Epsom I use. It’s subtle and hard to see in the pics, but it’s there. Or I’m finally cracking up.

Hard to tell under the lights in the pics because they look a bit yellow at the tips. If the epsom is greening them up then don't stop, but might a bit of N help? Or maybe they're greener in person...
They are greener in person but you’re right, they need something I just can’t figure it out. 3 plants are perfect, 1 suspiciously pale but hasn’t changed, and the 2 you’re probably talking about. Same strain, same soil. The only obvious sign is that the plant with the most yellow is the biggest.
I’ll make up a top dress and already got epsome dissolving in the water. I’m just trying to avoid using liquid nutes, organic or not. It’s water day so they won’t have to wait.

Day 29 of flower

Ok @InTheShed , here’s about the best pics I can get, I’m only using a phone. What do you think?

The girls got a top dress of Happy Frog all purpose, shrimp meal and alfalfa 1:blushsmile:1. Then got a good drench of water, Recharge, Epsom, cal-mag and Terpinator. We’ll see what that does. Otherwise they’re still praying and the buds are stacking up. Losing sight of the stems…have a great day.

Great idea on the transfer pump! I've only seen the battery-powered ones and I've heard their lifespan is pretty short.

You can really see the color difference in those pics, which is odd because they're all working with the same soil, water, and lights. And they look pretty much like the same pheno. At least they're still growing like crazy!

I know, same seed pack too. Last run with the same soil I had no issues at all and supplemented much less. It’s possible I didn’t cook it long enough so soon after, idk. A couple look just right. Hungrier phenos? I like the variety and they’re all super frosty so I ain’t complaining. I have another 40 gallons cooking right now. Before I move it inside I’ll add Epsom salt and something for phosphorus.

Beautiful grow Fudo. That's some serious trichomes this early on. I've never heard of Plug SeedBank. Did you find them locally?
Thanks tx! Some friends were telling me that Biscotti and their relatives are popular at some local dispensaries. So I looked it up and the Spanish seed bank The Plug came up with the 2.0. Supposed to be 25-30%. So of course I had to try it and sent away for a half dozen. They all sprouted.

Fudo, they have such beautiful form and coloring!!
Thanks Krissi! Yours are looking pretty happy too. I’m pretty sure I’m supposed to expect some nice color out of these. The cold basement walls at night help bring out the color. If it gets cold enough outside, it’s been down to 63F in the corner before, I’ll throw in the heater.

Day 31 of flower

Good morning. Ok I think I can relax a little bit. What I’m seeing is a multitude of minor deficiencies. It looks like all the stuff I’ve been giving them is finally taking hold and they appear to be getting greener.
It’s still kinda strange to me how it’s only half the plants showing any real problems and they’re all sharing the same bin of soil. I thought I’d be counting Pale rider in the corner as deficient but she hasn’t changed any.
I’m going to let them dry out a day for a bit more air, they’ve been pretty soaked for awhile. They’re starting to green from the bottom up so I’m going to let ‘em go as is for a day.
