Good morning 420 friends. I’ll be trying my hand at cloning and a veg tent and have some other ideas so It’ll be a little all over the place. Not unusual. Which is also why this is going to be my last/perpetual journal. I’ve been a little slow getting this going for a couple reasons, I’ve been pretty busy in general and have been having some bad luck with seeds.
I’m only one for six with the Neville’s haze and had a White widow and Alaskan purple that didn’t pop. On the bright side, the seeds I got from my last grow are doing great. There are 2 Malawi Panama/Biscotti 2.0 and 1 Hulkberry/Biscotti 2.0 above ground. I’m only going to keep 4. I shrunk my flower footprint to 5’ by 5’, I’m going for quality over quantity.
So I’m thinking the final line up will look like 1 Malawi/Panama and 1 Neville’s haze in the net and a Grizzly Zkitelz and MP/B2 up front.
For those not familiar with my stuff, here’s the deal. I run 2, 300w Luminus cxm22 3000cri cob fixtures and 2, 350w Budget LED 3500cri panels. For a grand total of 1300w. The exhaust is a Can Fan pro series set up.
The soil is a new batch of well cooked Rev’s recipe. It’s spot on with the exception of a couple noticeable differences. I’ve left out the blood meal and humic acid and added langbeinite and shrimp meal. Everything else is pretty darn accurate. Well here’s what made it to the surface so far.

I might be contacting the greenhouse about this. I’m not sure this caused the lackluster germination rate but the seeds sticking to the wrapper can’t be good. I flipped an unopened pack upside down and a couple stuck and didn’t fall in the plastic dome. Excess adhesive? To be honest though I’m not sure those were the duds, I got them mixed up. Anyway I’m more of a fan of the plastic tube containers.

Thanks Otter I hope so, I’m really starting to become a fan of the Sativa’s. I’m good on the Zkitilze, that one popped right up. It’s the Neville’s I’m struggling with. If the one that came up goes the distance, she’ll be my 1st clone. You’ve done a couple Neville’s right?

One and enjoyed it. I grew her poorly though. My soil ph may have been off for such a sativa, and it was too cold to grow her that time of year here. She wanted warm. With all that she still produced several ounces of magical bud! Was a trip to grow!

Another Neville’s haze popped up this morning. If both of these survive then that will complete the line up. 2 Neville’s haze, 1 Malawi Panama and 1 Zkitlez. It’ll be a shame to scrape the other plants but at least I know the seeds are viable and I have plenty more.

Cruising along. The 2 Neville’s are healthy and settling in. I’ve pretty much given up on the third. I rooted around in there a bit and didn’t find anything. I’ll give her another day or so before I dig her up. I added a humidifier for the other 5.
I’m undecided on the pot sizes for the 4th plant. The 3 Sativa’s are definitely getting 7 gal bags but I think I’m going to try a 3 gal for the indica dominant Zkitlez to save room and see how far the soil will go. Revs pots are even smaller. The Malawi/Panama won’t be in the net this time, this might prove to be a bit challenging lol. Have a great day.

…and growing. So I should probably mention I have one of the N.H’s in 1/3 vermiculite. We’ll see what the root balls look like. The rest are straight Happy Frog. Have a great day.

Thanks Shed, but it leggy really good? I’m thinking they’re too stretchy. The ones in the middle are getting almost 600umols. I would think that’d be plenty for plants this size. Not enough blue light? The light is 3500k.

Most folks say lower the light if your plants are stretchy, but I have no experience with that since my light is fixed at 93 million miles.

Whatever you do, make sure the next pot is deep enough that you can bury those stems in the new soil. They'll grow roots from what ends up underground.

Thought I’d build a couple pots today. I’m going to have two 3 gal and three 7 gal. Three of the girls are going to 1 gal bags before the 7’s, so I only built the 3’s for now. I may or may not be using flower spikes for the 7’s. Here’s the exact process. The only difference is I swapped the manure with lobster compost, it’s what I had.
