Organic Orange

Thanx, OMM! I hope it will stay good for a while.

Thanx, &:welcome:, papatater! You're just in time for bud porn!

HEADBAND? HARVEST  It's been a long time since last harvest!
About a week before harvest - I had to tie up the tops.

15 small, but mature looking seeds from cross with Kalichakra: I,m calling it Kaliban.

These buds have a strong pleasant aroma. I can barely control the odor in the drying room.
I quick dried the seeded buds and just tried it. Great! The smoke is very smooth with (the best I can describe it) a sweet sandalwood flavor. I think this is the Kush taste, but I'm not sure. Who knows? This may actually be Headband Kush. Sweet!

FLOWER ROOM - These 2 are coming down next week.

Kalichakra- I don't know if I mentioned this before, but this one appears to be an indica pheno. She is the same hight as she was when she went into the flower room.

As you can see, the chicks are trying to turn my veg room into a flower room. I think this may be due to the fact I reused soil from previous harvests. There might still be some residual flower nutes in it; that with the initial 16hrs of light.
I gave them another dose of veg nutes and changed the light from 19 to 24hrs. Hopefully, this should correct the problem.

Thanx, OMM.
The long wait is over! Now I have plenty of buds to keep me smokin'. Man, these buds taste and burn so much better than what I've been paying good money for.

Thanx, Twelve.
I'm flattered you would consider mine for POTM running. I just checked it out and it looks like it's about full. I'm not sure if I'm ready for that kind of competition. What beautiful colors and buds! There are some really amazing entries this month. Tough choice.

Quick smoke report on the Headband.
The aroma and flavor are like a sweet floral sandalwood. Very pleasing.
The high is very clear and uplifting. It is pretty strong and gives a nice feeling of well being; while still allowing you to do math in your head.
Great for any occasion; except for sleep.
The buds were very sticky. I'm still smoking scissor hash! I also have a quart of trim to make hashish.
Dry weight: 42g:thumb:
I am finding some more seeds that I didn't intentionally make. She did have a few bananas, but my pollination was a little sloppy.

I have also harvested the mystery plant. Pics coming soon.
:lot-o-toke:

Hey Tricome - can't wait to see the harvest pics on the mystery plant. Beautiful buds my friend - I like that Mystery plant a lot. Headband sounds awesome! Hope you are well.

Thanx, Xlr8!
I really like the Mystery plant, too. The shape and form of it are really cool. More on her below.
The Headband is top notch! I'm not sure if it is actually Headband Kush, though. Maybe someone familiar with that strain can compare it.
I'm doing good, and hope you are too. I've gotta check out you new journal before it gets too long.:peace:

Thanx and :welcome: IGG!
Yes! Get better buds at a fraction of the price. Grow your own! Act now! Assistants are waiting to help you at 420 Magazine.
I just checked out your grow, and you have a LOT going on. I don't know if I could keep up with such a garden; and everything is so green and healthy!
I really like that Cripit. It looks like 3 plants! The name reminds me of the term for good weed down here; "Cripy".
+ reps for your medicine field

Dry weight = 36.5g Not much smell from these buds. The taste is like orange blossoms. Both the smell and taste are still green. With some more curing these should be very good. The buds are very frosty, but not as sticky as the Headband.

Kalichakra is coming down tonight.:;):

VEG ROOM
Kalichakra mom is doing very well.

I had a strange and gross little infestation in the veg room. My a/c was down for a couple of days, and like a fool I left the door open to circulate air. Well, I let a wasp into the kitchen and a couple of little roaches were in the veg room. I killed all 3, but apparently the roach couple had time to plant an egg case on the soil of the Mystery clone in the back.
Luckily I went to check on them at lunch. They were dry, so I fed them; discovering about a dozen baby roaches hiding under the pot. YUCK! Then I saw the camouflaged egg case.
"Doktor Doom for you", I said aloud. Then I gave the bugs, the plants, the soil, the water, and the entire grow room a double dose. Boom! No more bugs!
I sprayed and put bait around the rest of the house, and will be keeping an eye out. I also put some powdered tobacco on top of the soil.

I have to keep vigilant. Now that it's getting warmer, plant pests and other bugs will start coming out. Get you grow room ready!

FYI Roaches are very common and normal in Florida. They love the climate and all the delicious citrus. They are every where; in the woods, in neighborhoods. They really love leaf piles. I've got one by the side of the house I've got to pick up. The trick is to keep them OUTSIDE, and leaving the door open doesn't help! :laughtwo: I certainly don't need to let spider mites in again!
:hippy:

Glad you got rid of the bugs. :high-five:

I lived a while Ga. The Roaches would fly at you there. Freaked me out.

Headband sounds really good...so do the rest. Pictures were great too.

Glad you have stash again. Keep doing what your doing! :cheer:

Ha,Ha, OMM. How about the palmetto bugs? 2-3in long flying roaches that stink. LOL! These were the little German ones. I've been on the look out, and haven't seen any more bugs inside. Silly critters; they should know the only roaches allowed in my house look like this- :joint:. The leaf pile was a different story. They were making a city out of it. I played Godzilla and crashed their party.

The Headband is real nice. I will be taking more clones before they get too far into flower.
The Mystery is tasting and smelling better already. More grapefruit now.

I took down the Kalichakra a couple of days ago. This girl was only 2' 1" tall.
I went a little pic crazy, but wanted to show the revealing of buds during trimming.

:peace: and goodnight 420 brothers and sisters.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR KIND WORDS!!:circle-of-love:
:welcome: Deege420!

OK, gang. I'm back with an update.
It seems I have underestimated the Headbands power. Apparently, she went super saiyan on me. If I smoke more than half a joint at one time; I'm a little "lost" for about 30 min. Simple math = difficult.:scratchinghead: This is a powerful sativa, with an almost trippy affect. It causes rapid heartbeat and can cause paranoia. This here's for sippin'! She has retained her sandalwood floral aroma and flavor. She is the strongest smelling of all 3.

The Mystery is the upbeat highly functional smoke. She gives the user energy and positive vibes with a clear head. Multiplication in head possible.:geek: The taste is a light floral on inhale and a mild grapefruit on exhale. The smell is like.....unripe citrus? Very nice. Hopefully her clones come around.

Check out the branch structure.

GEDC0380.JPG

I ended up with 25 seeds from the K(tall pheno) male and the K(short pheno) female. Here are some.
GEDC0375.JPG

Dry weight= 29g A very good yield, considering most of my plants are about 4' tall and yield about 2oz. She was only 2' tall, and I'm still using just 1 250w light. Smoke report coming later. She didn't get flushed as much as the others, and is still green and harsh.

VEG ROOM
The Kalichakra mom and the Mystery clones are doing well in spite of a drought. K is a heat and drought resistant strain; one of the reasons I chose it. The Mystery clones have formed multiple tops on their own, and are finally growing normal 5 fingered leaves. The new Headband clones are all rooted and growing.
