Rifleman's Roost Open 24/7: Perpetually Perplexed

Thanks for the link Hemi I've read several but had not seen that one yet
It's a long but very informative read, still have not read it all. Lots of good pictures before, during, and after. Biggest thing I gleamed on pollen maturity was that depending on strain could take up to 4 weeks to fully mature, to pick the nanners when the are browning, not yellow, let them dry with some rice for a couple days before extracting the pollen, and to expect at least 5 more weeks for fully mature seeds after pollinating.

Here is a good pic of what I mean by browning nanners.
Producing Feminized Seeds Using Colloidal Silver

See if your Dark Devil does more than mine weight wise does that mean you effectively beat me with one arm tied behind your back? Nothing like putting the pressure on with an uphill battle against seeded buds :biglaugh: :)

Looks like you've got a nice bush anyway....bet the nanners will like it too ;)

Damn Kush, I never even thought about the seed weight. Maybe I'll wait to seed the next one. :)

Water Change and measurement day. The SDD has out grown the MSC in the last 24 hours. She is a quarter inch taller at 22.5 inches now. I posted photos of her yesterday, so today's photos are of MSC on day 43. Nutrient ppm is around 550 on each of them.

No need to change your plans for me bud. I'm not crying foul....my DDA is in the process of getting SCROG'd 27" above ground and is 40 days old so I don't think I'm out of the running yet. NFT should beat DWC for growth rates but we're now at the point where buffered nutes might have an advantage over pH swings unless I can keep things pretty much spot on as it gets harder to do so.

Talking of pH swings, one of us has some checking and fettling to do :biglaugh:

Monday, Monday, can't trust that day. Welcome to a brand new week my friends. :) Im sitting here fogged in tighter than Dick's hatband and I've got the My Baby Has Gone to Work and I'm All Alone Blues, again. I can hear the rooster way off behind the barn somewhere, other than that it's quiet. Not too cool this morning so it's coffee on the front porch. Roscoe is laying at my feet...well actually I have my feet under his back fat keeping my toes warm. :biglaugh: Wait a minute, I lied. There is another sound. To my West there is a woodpecker machine gunning an old tree trunk. Brrrrr rap, cock a doodle, brrrrr rap, cock a doodle. Sounds like they are competing.

It's good to be able to get outside. Probably the driest day this week so I'll be hauling firewood for the coming weekend's cold snap. Hopefully the last for the year. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm like our favorite plant, I prefer 70 to 85 deg F. Stick around for a while folks, tomorrow is a photo update day. Until then I'm just hanging out here on the porch watching mother nature do her thing, burning one occasionally while waiting for a visitor, and trying to ignore Roscoe's farts. (no more cheese curds for him)

Peace :peace:

I finally finished reading Granny420's seed growing exploits from the link HemiSync left in post #258. Plus reps for dropping it there my friend. :) Very informative for anyone wanting to produce their own fem seed. From what I learned there the pollen I create this time will be best used on my next dark devil...or other female plant of choice. To save you the long read I'll sum it up in fewer words; t'aint nuff time to git er done this'a go round. :) Adding the weeks together to get viable pollen, then pollinate and grow mature seeds, there just isn't time for this girl to do it. Unless she runs 120+ days like the sweet tooth did. :hmmmm: No problem, I can store the pollen. This *is* a learning experience for me, and I hope some of you. :Namaste:

That does present some problems I hadn't considered with the single seed strains I have. Luckily those are mostly photo plants and I'll just clone the dickens out of them before I flip the original. BINGO!! An argument the CEO hasn't heard in the quest for expansion. It's for the continuation of species. lmao. Y'all know it's just a matter of time before I have a 4x4 to play in or I'm sleeping in the barn. Please don't let me know if you get a pool together and bet on it. ;)

My money s ALWAYS on the CEO since they are the one s that control "quality of life" somehow...?! Such a one way street hey guys, can I get an AMEN?! Hahaha My old lady s Spidy Scenes start tingling when I clean the garage in the summer, somehow she knows I m tidying up for my next bad/good decision in life! I swear she s related to Miss Cleo:rofl::rofl:

Photo update day. :) Cannaporn for the pervs. Zipping along toward another harvest. Half way? Who knows, it's just another rainy day at the Roost. I swear I'm going to start looking for gopher wood and pitch if this doesn't quit soon. I hope everyone enjoys tonight's photos. I don't expect to take any more before Sunday so I hope this holds you.

Peace out, and put on your life preservers. :peace:

MSC, 45 days, 23x23 inches

SDD, 50 days, 24 inches and just started turning dark.

That's is one heck of a read. I just finally got through it myself and could read it all over again. I think from now on when I chop an auto I will leave the root ball & one nice branch going in a 15 liter DWC in a separate room just to see how long it takes to hermie on her own and produce female pollen.

Bwaahaahaahaa, Roscoe's fat ass won't even leave the porch when it rains. The old boy walks over to the corner post to piss, and won't dump for a couple of days if it's raining. I avoid him at all costs in this weather. Know the difference between a fart and a fizzle? The fart goes around the turd and the fizzle goes thru it.

When it rains, it fizzles.

I've got a 'Roscoe' and a raised house (about 4 feet). Plenty of room for my 'Roscoe' to take care of the p's and poo's. Handy!

It's a game with this old mutt. He'll walk through the den, stop for an ear scratch, and rip one as he walks away. I know the SOB is laughing to himself everytime. :surrender:

Dog farts are the Worst,:rofl::rofl::sorry: my late black lab would crop dust me all the time when I was laying on the couch, conveniently at dog ass hight with my head! Sad to say but I kinda miss those dog farts.... Or more the mutt they came from, best dog ever:love: Measage here is "Soak up them dog farts cuz they ll be gone someday" :Namaste:

Hey bossman, have you ever seen bud grow from a fan leaf? I found that with one of my plants today! Here a a pic...
