Some of these colas look so good!

Wanted to post a picture of this one funny one. It’s so like “chubby” I guess you could say with a TON of leaves coming out of it. See the side by side of the 2 different colas on the same plant.

that one is very odd indeed. Was it mutated in any way prior to going into bloom?

Looks like it split into conjoined twin colas. The sugar leaves are so densely packed though. Maybe a split apical meristem somewhere along the line in growth that led to an almost double cola?

except that for now the caylx to bud ratio is shot, it is good looking and hopefully will develop into a unique double headed bud. Be sure to take more pics of this as it matures!
Gotchya, will do!!

I’ve read the sugar leaves can be used to make butter and other products? Since that’s cola has a ton of sugar leaves, it may still be useful?

its not the sugar leaves per se that are special in order to make butter... it is just that usually they are covered mostly with trichomes. It is the trichomes that eventually go into the butter. The thing I am watching for is that with this low caylx to leaf ratio, which we normally want to be high, I am wondering if the plant will be able to form all the normal frost coating on so many leaves or if this bud is going to end up less potent than its neighbors.

Gotchya, thanks for the mini lesson! Makes sense. So if I understand correctly, it still is going to produce bud, just maybe less potent or a lower quantity.

we will find out!
So I got an awesome picture through the jewelers loupe of the chubby/mutated cola! Check it out! There are actually a lot of trichomes on it which seems promising I think haha.

Can somebody give me their opinions on the general appearance/health/size of the plants? Today is Day 75. This is obviously my first grow so I don’t have much to compare, but the colas do look kinda small/not full.

I’ve examined the colas and trichomes and they are probably 90-95% clear. I’ve spotted a few Amber ones though. One of the plants has FAR more trichomes on it than the other.

Feel like I’m supppper close. Colas are getting more dense which has me excited. No idea what to expect in terms of yield, but I know I’m close!

can somebody please explain why the stems are so different in color? The green one doesn’t have anywhere near the amount of trichomes as the purple one
