What's In Jim's Grow Room?

Sorry to hear about the AC. Shit happens. Sometimes we get the buds and sometimes the buds get us.

GL with the mites. I just keep spraying 1x a week with a weak dose of spinosad. Eventually they go away until I slack off and stop spraying.

The fall and winter time I dont have to worry... until I do. Thats usually in the spring after a hot day in the flower room.

The bad part about them is in the larva stage they are so small I cant even see them with a microscope. Well I can but they are really small same size as the eggs and they dont have any color. They look a lot like the head of a trichome. Almost exactly.

We got this, just have to soldier thru. Dont let up. When they down for the count, just keep stomping on em.

This is probably also my problem. If I can't see it moving I consider it dead but I have really wanted to spray with the hose attachment outside. My neighbor, who should be going to work every day has turned into a slacker and left only once last week to go borrow a push mower to cut his weeds and grass. His lady works but was sporadic last couple weeks. Anyway, I'm not going to blow my grow when there is a way to attack them with limited risk.

hey jim you could try the shower then you could use some hot water on them according to @conradino23 they don't like that I tried it with mine but I don't think I had it hot enough these things are hard to get rid of good luck!

Last time I bud washed and that was after several rounds of spinosad I still had a few on the leaves. I left the branches sitting submerged in h2o2/water for like 5 minutes and swishing them around a bunch. Then let the branches soak in lemon juice and backing soda, then 2 soakings in water. Each stage was at least 5 minutes under water.

There were not all dead ffs. Wasn't very many but still. How can they survive submerged?

I don't think they survived the fire. lol

I totally agree. The last of this particular line of It's It Punch is coming to an end today with the harvesting of the re-veg and its clone. I have plenty of h2o2 for the wash today and I'll be taking my time and soaking well. Even with the infestation I think the plants grew fairly well in my environment. 2 gallon softies, old LED lighting and inconsistent watering.

So my favorite air conditioner repairman got my old unit up and running with a reasonable cost. He wanted to check to see if I was changing the filter timely. My stash of replacement filters were in the grow room so I'm certain he got a good whiff of the girls when I opened the door to get one. He didn't say a thing and I wasn't arrested over night. The outside coil got cleaned and the condenser fan motor got replaced and it's now cool in the house.

It's It Punch. This is Acai Berry Gelato (It's It cut) x Purple Punch and bred by Sun Grown Genetics.

That's all I have to the moment. I may get a shot or two when these are hung in the barn. :bongrip:

I must have taken pictures of all the largest buds because there wasn't many. Trimming still hurts my back and I did almost all the work sitting in the grow room. The scissor hash was pretty good and I ate almost all the potato chips.

Hurricane Dorian is now predicted to hit land somewhere near the borders of South and North Carolina around 8 am on Friday. The government has already recorded the state's first hurricane related death when an 85 year old man died as a result of injuries received from falling off a ladder preparing his home for the storm.

Since early Friday is well known as when this storm may have some effect on North Carolina, most of the schools systems have cancelled classes for Thursday. WTF ????

Tomorrow is Thursday so I'll spend some of my day tying things down. I don't know about this storm. I've thought it one of the least likely to come visit but here 'tis.

I kept the produce from the two plants separate for a reason which I'm sure I'm remember soon.

congrats jim enjoy your load bud lol! :)

Congrats on the harvest there buddy.

Stay safe - I think you should be OK. South Carolina flooding with 20" of rain. Wow

Times like these is when I'm glad I live up north where we very very rarely ever get any storms/hurricanes, well unless they come thru Alabama first ffs. lol

Thats actually a true story - 1972 hurricane Agnes. We got 20" of rain in less than 24 hrs.

That was messed up. Learnt that day, living on top or close enough to the top of a hill is in my Future. Been that way ever since. Now just worry about 3' of snow and rain after. lol

She's been a pretty easy storm so far as hurricanes go. I'm 150 miles from the coast but they all seem to affect us in some way. I recorded 1.7 inches of rain since 2 pm yesterday. Wind from the NE mild but has some gusts.

I'm good. Now about that harvest. Another learning process for me.

All the plants have suffered through 18 days of something sprayed on them 3 days apart.

The re-veg girl's soil did not get amended well after its earlier harvest. Chalk that one up to Operator Error.

Smoking and enjoying your Jellium this morning. I really need to get into my flower tent and clean things up a bit. :bongrip:

An update your eyes might enjoy.

I almost feel like my grow is back in business here as the Borg might be under control. I'm going to have to spray again this weekend with some Insecticidal Soap but the girls are looking so much better. They looked so good that I cleaned them up a bit of really damage leaves and set them up for a photo shoot.

For the past 3 weeks I only provided straight water during the spraying process so the nutrient feed only restarted up again last week. Then I had 2 days with the A/C out. Tent temperatures topped out at 99 F.

Cannabis is a strong freaking plant.

My lighting for photography is not good but I think some of the shots were pretty good. Here goes

GG #4

Jellium

Black Cherry Punch

Lots of bud sites here

Purple Punch

All of these pics are of different buds

I see a bunch of little tester buds that need removal this week so I'll surely get a treat. Today I'm enjoying a bit of brother Bob's Slurricane. That fellow grows the good stuff. :bongrip:

Looks good there buddy. Gonna be another harvest coming up.

99F - Had a bunch of days this summer like that. Just water and wind for the win.

Glad you made it thru. The hardest part of 99F is ME being exposed to it. ffs.

Interesting no purps on the Jellium??

Only see a very small amount of mite evidence. The BCP seems like its attractive to them.

I have a plant that is doing the same exact thing. Future - she's a mite magnet.

Control is a WIN with mites. They will disapear when the weather changes. We are already back to 59F at night - my windows and fans wide open. Mites HATE wind and cold. They go dormant. Then we wash them away until next summer. yawn. :passitleft:

Mind if I join the show? I really dig what you got going on here man. Lots of beautiful bud porn!
Glad to have you over here watching JoeDaddy77. There's plenty of room.

Buds look ok but nothing special. Day 51 and I checked trichomes this morning on the GG #4 and the Purple Punch. These are starting to get a little milky so I may get a fairly quick end to this madness. Then I get to clean the tent again and see if I can clean up all the clones.

The clones seem to be doing better as there is some new growth. Fucking bugs. I'm going to kill 'em.

Here are the clones. @beez0404 told me today the Black Cherry Punch was in his top 3 life time so maybe I'll put a bit more effort to those 2.

I meant to link some pics of this year's tobacco crop that I photographed the other day.

My off topic thread

Addendum or whatever you call it.

When I was messaging with @beez0404 today and he was telling me about the Black Cherry Punch I told him that I had removed lower branches from one of the punches when I harvested the It's It Punch last Wednesday.

Just so you'll know my memory just isn't there any more. So I put these branches on paper towels and I do remember turning them at least once. So after talking with him I went looking for said branches and eventually cleaned enough herb for 2 joints. I begin smoking around 5:30 am each day so for some herbs to have any impact on me late in the day it really has to be the shiztz. I smoked 1/3 joint of whatever that was. Sat in the chair a bit and then started vacuuming the house.

So I'm back to reclining now so I won't be out looking for work or anything silly like that but have to say this is pretty good herb considering the branches were taken at 45 days. Of course it could be the Purple Punch but I'm thinking it's got to be the Black Cherry Punch.

Whatever....Thank you again Beez for the clones. :goof:
