Yellow spots, burnt edges, issues at week 3: Haze Berry Auto

26 C is good... about 78°F.

I'm an outdoor soil grower of photoperiod plants... others can help with this better than I.

Tagging @Bill284 here... he's our resident coco expert. :thanks:

Fyi, I think Canna A & B does list the amounts of nutrients in their product, on the back label.
Thanks man,
Hi @Bill284 I'd appreciate your help on the leaves and my nutes mixture. My ph and temperature are very controlled at the moment. 5.8 in and 6.0 runoff, 26~27oC lights on, 24oC lights off. EC 850 in 820 runoff. But the yellow spots are still showing. Am really struggling to fund a solution for this. Here's a breakdown of my feed on the 3rd week.
Feeding 2x a day
Each time 750ml, getting around 25% runoff each time
I use distiled water 0 EC for my mix. Each feed first I add 0.1ml of silica, then I wait 60 minutes and I add Calmag. Total EC at this point is 500 EC. Then I add Canna A, then Canna B. Total EC goes to 750 EC with all these nutes I mentioned so far.
Then I add Rhizotonic 1ml and Cannazym 1.5ml. Total EC of the entire mix is 800~850 EC. Then I lower PH to 5.8 and water my 5gal fabric pot, 80/20 coco & perlite. Light is 650ppfd on the canopy
Have been doing this since my plant started to show the yellow spots you will see in the photos I posted. The plant continue to grow fast and it's getting very bushy since I introduced LST in the middle of week 3. It completed 4 weeks today (since germination)

Thanks @Emilya Green appreciate it

Currently I'm adding 450~500ec of calmag to my nutes mix in each feed. How much more do you think I could add?
What do they recommend ml/ L? On the schedule that comes with your brand? Of Calmag?
What are you putting in ml/ L? Currently?
You only need silicate once a week.
Not everyday.

there's no such thing. that is a measure of ppm. do you know if you are on 700 or 500 scale ? it makes a massive difference in what you are feeding...

ec would be expressed as a 1 or 2 digit number with a decimal eg: 1.2 , or 0.3 etc.

edit : ec and ppm measure the same thing in completely different terms. there are two types of ppm measurement as well. 500 and 700 scale.

I no on either scale that is a awful lot of calmag my base water is 0.4ec 200ppm on 500 scale or 280ppm on the 700 scale my base nutes are 400ppm on 500 scale or 560 on 700 scale 0.8ec there using either 1.0ec on 500 scale or 0.8ec on 700 scale of straight calmag and i dont even use calmag theres enough in my 0.4ec tap water so theres no way they need 0.8ec or 1.0ec of calmag canna a and b also contains calcium and magnesium

Coco is a Cal Mag whore. It takes a lot of it.

Hi i grow in coco with canna a and b and have never used calmag if i have enough in my 0.4ec tap water how can someone possibly need 0.8ec calmag can someone pls explain my friend also used dutch pro nutes and changed res once a week and he also never used calmag if any of u measure using ec or ppm u would realise how much there using can u tag someone who grows in coco to explain better even canna says there nutes work better with a starting ec of 0.4 and above no need to use calmag there not even using 1ml/l of base nutes quarter feed

canna won't have enough calmag if you run in coco under led light. you might get away with it in some soil mixes. you probably won't need to run a full dose.

canna cites a starting ec mostly for uk growers that don't run RO. it's a super shitty approach that's supposed to work with super shitty water. there are different formulations of the canna depending on your water quality. you have to choose which to use according to your areas water report.

the best thing to do is run RO, and use calmag. grows done this way are inherently more stable and easier to run.

canna coco a and b only comes in one formula theres no soft or hard of any canna product its designed for tap water i never said op never needed calmag at all when using RO just not as much as what is said all canna products contain calcium and magnesium thats probably why you mix A first then mix B a little after heres the ingredients in canna coco a and b my friend used to grow using led and hps together he never used calmag but he never used RO i posted a pic of hes plants fried cause he forgot to turn pump on when i first joined he had 15 plants 4 hps and 2 led
  • Phosphorus 4% (P)
  • Potassium 3% (K)
  • Calcium 5% (Ca)
  • Magnesium 2% (Mg)
  • Sulfur and Boron >0% (S and B)

it sure used to. now they have a tool where you enter your water hardness and it generates a feed schedule accordingly.

i just go to RO and be done with it. my water changes seasonally, and it just isn't worth trying to chase it.
