Brother's Winter Grow - Still Doing That - G13 - Amnesia - BB & WW

I've got a bit of sativa beans and have been planning to flower them 10/14 just because I've never done it, and I've read it will bring out the flavors and smells like the only mj we could get back in the 70s tasted and smelled. Sometime around June I'll be dropping some Ace Panama and Seeds of Africa Malawi Gold.

yeah the terp profile really changes depending on the light cycle, 10/14 seems to be the best :)

some landrace sativas wont even flower under 12/12, i mean they will if you flip them from 18 hours of light but it will be a very slow change, like it would take you at least 2 to 3 weeks to even see pistils. :laughtwo:
when it's time for your project, send me that postcard. Can't wait buddy :high-five:

420 brother some nice strains you got growing :cheesygrinsmiley:I like the comment you made in an update previous that said the Indica Gene dominates :high-five:
Happy new year 2016 is actually here OMG I need to go medicate have great day:circle-of-love::420::circle-of-love:

haha run to the bongssss :lot-o-toke:

it's sad how the indica gene slowly takes over, another 50 years from now and who knows how hard it will be to get a stable landrace sativa, it already is pretty hard right now

you can see that in everyday grows too, like from my amnesia lemons for example, 2 out of 3 are dominated by the gene and only 1 is pushing to the other side.

Wish I knew how it all worked really. I think all THC/CBD producing strains are now classified as Cannabis Indica, with Indica, Sativa, and Rudi for the subspecies/varietal. The study was from 2005 or so, and used the latest methods, including gene sequencing and DNA analysis. This suggests that either the original species in the Himilayas, diverged into two separate races, wide-leaf (Ind) and narrow-leaf (Sat) - OR that which we observe to be the difference between the two, is due to acclimatization, after human intervention, which spread the plant globally. I think it's the latter - that it's all Cannabis, and that even the Ruderalis is still the same plant - just one that has adapted to low light areas over time. Both theories could be incorrect, who knows. Those of us that come to grow the plant, all know the same thing - there is something really special about the cannabis plant.

Man that skunk looks like some tasty smoke.
it was extremely citrusy with a mixed head body eff, couch lock and lost in space :)

Nice shine and sugar! I was really stoned when I posted, I should have added that your current plants are looking great bro. They are super healthy, and the canopy is tight. Fun times ahead. :)
haha arent we all too stoned in here my friend  thank you for the kind words

:thanks: :passitleft:

That Skunk must of been lovely
yeah i was so sad when i ran out of it, sometimes when i sit alone and reminisce i wish i had some of that pheno left :)

Thanks for the bud porn brother. Looks like you've had some nice grows man. Beautiful!
Take this doobie please:passitleft:

hahahaha ill accept this doobie with pride brother :passitleft:

it's alright i guess, im no guru by any means, just a guy who tries too hard not to screw it up

when i joined this forum i hadn't the foggiest about what's what, this community made me what i am today :)

Hi Brother!

What seed co was that skunk#1? I have some Mr nice shit in the fridge I bought 4 years ago and never popped them. Looks like I should get one in the ground :thumb:

Peace my brother!

honestly i haven't the foggiest, brother.

it was a gift, from a breeder friend who made a cross between different skunk #1 phenos.

he did a pretty good job too, shame we lost those genes.

looking good ziggs :)

my tent is actually under 10.45/13.15 right now cause im not using a digital timer and after recent blackouts it was impossible to set it for 11/13

lets see how that goes :thumb:

I learn so much in your thread, brother -- thank you for so freely sharing your knowledge and experience. I'm fascinated with light cycles right now and the people working with them. I know I've had a tendency to just assume that 18/6 is okay, when what I'm reading is that it's actually not optimal for the plants, which makes sense.

Funny how learning goes for some of us, eh? I find I can only try so many new things at a time -- I mean, I LOVE new things, I just need to play with one element for a while and then when I can get my head around it I can add something else. Maybe light cycles is next for me -- things keep nudging me that way, anyway.

Thanks!

you're too kind glimmergrass :)

Thank you for the nice words and you're very welcome. I'm like that too, can't mess with too many things at once, need to focus on one or two at a time, but im also curious so once i get ahold of one i then move to another :)

light cycles are very intresting indeed, can bring out a whole new side in a grow. Terps change, flowering times change, and we must not forget how plants already experience a dramatic change when we grow them indoors, all those pictures the breeders show us its mostly from outdoor growing. When we bring that seed inside it goes through an adaptation process so there's that change too.

so many things change it can make you crazy if you think about it for too long :yikes:

No doubt Brother! When growing weed adapting is a "must have" trait.

Heya bro,, good Wednesday to you pal,,:Namaste:

The light timing is, another, interesting topic,, and it must be a tough idea to experiment with,, one would need two flower rooms to compare,, i wonder who has done said experiments??? Would be interesting indeed to see the comparison,,

One thing about less light time in the flower room,, less time to mess around in there,,,booo,, i live in there nearly,, ha,,

All the little tweaks and micro techniques, never ending journey of life long learning,,,, and toking,, :lot-o-toke:

Watchin bro,, cheers

Btw,, i have started a lazy casual journal,, just some corner for me to ramble,, you are most welcome to pop in any time for a visit,, a chair and a pipe for you anytime pal,, cheers
