God's First Grow - COB & LED - Cuvee, Jack Skellington - SCROG

re: God's First Grow- COB & LED - Cuvee, Jack Skellington - SCROG

They look a bit sluggish, understandable given the move and stress they been through. New room runs them a bit hotter, when I hadn't had the exhaust hooked up it sat in the low 90's for a few hours, seems to be peaking around 83 during lights on

Other than that they seem to be looking really well, really have to do the final transplant soon before they get too tall

This root stimulator has been amazing, I'll get better pics later but their stems are strong and thick now

Plants looked much better this morning.

The one in the top left corner is the one everything fell on, it's really rebounded well the past 2 days, looking strong and going good. My new flowering nutes came in, hopefully the vegging ones will be here very soon so I can give them a feed tomorrow or day after.

re: God's First Grow- COB & LED - Cuvee, Jack Skellington - SCROG

Fed them again today, with 3 fans these smart pots really dry out fast, got the 5 gal pots ready for transplant tomorrow, saturated the mix with ph 5.8 water and added root stimulator, so everything should be good to go tomorrow, will put my screen in as well and start ticking and weaving! ..

It's PVC conduit, it's got 45 degree bends at the sides, rebar tie wire as the "net", will attach it in the middle with zip ties, and I have eye loops for the 4 corners to attach it to the frame, should work well, I did it in 2 pieces so it's easy to move when I need to .

re: God's First Grow- COB & LED - Cuvee, Jack Skellington - SCROG

Got the transplant into their 5 gal pots done, then soaked them with root stimulator and 10 gallons of water. Roots were nice and white on 3/4, the biggest one they had a bit of brown, considering that's the one that I've had the most of the problems with it was kind of expected. Still the largest plant and is still doing really good, very bushy, only 11" tall, stem is as round as my thumb now.

Transplanting from a smart pot was a bit tough and messy lol, hopefully I didn't stress them too much. Got my screen set up, isn't the prettiest but will def do! Have it 12-13" above the top of my pots, hopefully that's do, it is easy enough to adjust it if not though.

Now it's basically just wait, watch, tuck & pull! Hopefully it won't take much time at all to fill this screen so I can switch it to flower!
Today was the first time I got a good whiff of them too, the JS really smells good, super excited to see these bitches when they start flowering!

Anyone following this ever breed plants before? My next grow there's 2 very specific strains I want to grow, and I'd like to make a weed tailored for myself by breeding them together if it's not an overly complex thing to do. Would love to know of a good read on how one goes about breeding without getting into the "why's", basically just looking for a simple step by step just to introduce the idea to me then I can decide if I want to read up on it more or not.

Enjoy!

re: God's First Grow- COB & LED - Cuvee, Jack Skellington - SCROG

Installed my 2x 2' T5 HO fixtures today for my UVA/B "specialty" bulbs. Is it enough to make a difference? Idk, it's only 24w each fixture, but .......

There's enough out there to support the idea that both UVA + B is beneficial in increasing THC and CBD as a result of creating a natural "sunscreen" to protect itself against UV radiation, so......

To me the fact that it was pretty inexpensive to install, it's worth the shot, figured I'd start small and if I find they're not being hurt maybe I'll go up to 3' or 4' fixtures, but for the meanwhile these should do great .

Local hydro store had a 4'x4' and 3'x4' trays so I'll pick up one of those soon .

Week 3.5 veg and introduce UV light .

Week 4 veg began today, started them on their new nute line fertilome 20-20-20

Ph = 5.8
Ppm = 1660

Run off = 5.9-6

re: God's First Grow- COB & LED - Cuvee, Jack Skellington - SCROG

Woke up today and plants were really perky, very pungent veg smell, like fresh cilantro at a grocery store, seem to respond well to their first feeding on the new nutes

So decided to tinker a bit, moved my fan inside my tent cause I didn't like the vibration it was making mounted to the wall
420-magazine-mobile719856664.jpg

Seems to be performing much more efficiently too, hopefully the heat from the fan doesn't out weigh the efficiency

Started some LST today too, may have been a bit rough, "split" a main stem at the seem, hopefully it recovers

These Cuvees are really looking strong, big, bushy, thick, great smelling, they're blowing the Jack Skellingtons away in terms of growth, supposed to be a really resinous Indy, will be exciting to watch them grow

Gave them another feed today, seems to be doing well feeding every 2 days, they're responding well and growing great

I figure at the rate in which they're growing, another 2 weeks tops and I'll be able to flip them into flower ...

Anyways, here's some pics

Did a little testing today just to see how my light coverage will play out with my screen.

Some points where it drops down, will be beneficial to get my proper runoff tray so it drops the plants a couple inches, and to raise my light up a few more inches as well, buy as much distance from the light to the canopy as I can!! Happy with the way it looks .

Noticed this on one of my Jack Skellingtons. I don't believe it's a deficiency or burn of any sort, I think it's just part of the plant(which is cool!) and I should hopefully be seeing it on my other JS in the next couple days. Would love to have some red growing through my 2 plants! :bravo:

Looks awesome. Always been a TGA/Subcool fan. He's always putting out some amazing strains.

Some good numbers there, covers your area really well. You will have a beautiful canopy of buds soon! ✌️

Thank you, and I hope so!

Lowered the light down about 6" today, so it's 28" above canopy right now, might move it down a bit more still for the time being. Just waiting for the left side to fill out a bit more then I'll flip to 12/12, the right side is a Sativa dominant plant so I expect it'll fill out tons during flower, will just have to keep pulling them under the screen for a bit after I flip it
