Final update:
I cut the 8 Ball down a couple days ago, which brought the grow to a close at 65 days of flowering. My pictures from the last few days were lost due to a technological mishap, so this update will be a bit anti climatic. Nonetheless, I'm pretty excited to have finished my first grow and have learned a lot.
Hopefully this journal will help other first timers learn from my mistakes. I have made some fabric pots which I've been testing out with herbs, and I'm very happy with the root development. The soil seems to dry more evenly and its easier to avoid the perched aquifer that created the problems in this grow. Very excited to run the next strain in them. Lots of big plans coming!
I de-fan leaf'd the 8 Ball and its hanging to dry for the next week. I will be sure to post photos of the goods and a smoke report as well. Thanks to those who followed along and gave advice!
