Size of light? Mars II 400 Veg 2 Mars II 400's Bloom

Is it aircooled? No, a fan blowing on heatsinks.

Temp of Room/cab? Avg 79-82, will change in Flower Stage.

RH of Room/cab? Currently, LOW 40's.

PH of media or res? N/A

Any Pests ? No

How often are you watering? Varies, currently every 3 days.


Hello everyone, I wasn't sure if I was going to do another Journal, but I have decided to make it happen. This will be a little Fast Forward in the Beginning, I am however still in early Veg state so we'll get to skip some of the early stages of nothing much going on. I have a plethora of pictures to compensate for not starting at the very beginning. Stay Tuned!

Both Seeds were planted on 7/25/15 and surfaced 7/28/15 under a 23 watt 5000K CFL bulb in a PC case I converted.

Week 1 Seedlings Kosher Kush Sharksbreath.

Within 6 days, the roots were already showing thru the 4 inch peat cups in multiple spots, it's time to transplant.

August 5th 2015 Soil Mix Session

5 Gallons EWC from my Worm Bin, Screened 1/4 inch.

7.5 Gallons of VermiSoil

2.5 Gallons of Perlite

Additions: Garden Lime, Glacial Rock Dust, Alfalfa Meal, Crab Meal, Neem Seed Meal, Kelp Meal, and all purpose Tomato Tone. I used this same recipe for my Outdoor garden. I buy most of it by the pound at a local garden shop, or the hydro shop I go to here and there has most by the pound as well. I did buy a 50 lb bag of glacial rock dust, they were out of the 10 lb, so I bought the 50 lb for 30 bucks. I can get it for 25, but the drive would negate the savings. There are similar recipes out on the Net, for my Outdoor I went with Roots as my base instead of the Vermisoil.

Week Two

Week 3. The plants went 16 Days in the CFL Box, then to the Mars II 400. I put the light up to 34 inches to transition from CFL to LED. I already burned one of the seeds from the CFL getting too close, you can see the light burn in some of the pictures. Hot spot and too close will do it every time. The plant didn't skip a beat.

You can see the other plant responds better to topping. I think the slower one is sharksbreath from the way it's growing. I checked them this morning and definitely growing faster after topping for 4.

I fell asleep last night so I'll take some pics later. I would say happy Monday but I'm not a Monday person.

August 31st Day 34

Light just came on at 7pm so it's morning time for my girls. The slower plant finally had a decent spurt so that's good news. The trunk is thickening every day and the arms are GROWING! Good Stuff. Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping in Sara, I'll be ordering a light probably later this week or the next. Another 400 baby, WOOHOO!! I've been so obsessed with manifolding technique it was time to go for it. I refuse to call it ML, but it is the style. I like Manifolding since I dig Hot Rods and I'm just building a V8.
