New Canadian Grower

Hey Everyone,
My name is Lee. I’m a grower from Toronto ,Ontario, Canada. Where are my fellow Canadian growers at?! I have found it hard to find good seeds, from reputable places with easy to deal with support teams. I’ve contacted multiple, (my previous grow was from a local bong shop). So far my favorite brand is Seedsman. They have a huge selection, the freebies they offer on orders is amazing, and the reps I’ve spoken to have made it easy to discuss, and figure out what strains are good for me. Do you guys have any suggestions? Have you ever bought from or heard of Seedsman?

Welcome to 420mag.
I just got two of my orders from seedsman in. Did some videos on them to see. I have ordered from them three times now without any problems. Unfortunately I got the last wifi from them so I can not recommend them until they get back in stock. I would try the Peyote Gorilla or the Critical Purple Kush.

Thank you!
That’s great to hear, where are you from? I’ve only heard good things from people I’ve spoke to. The amount of strains they have, and the prices seem fair to me. I have been eyeying the Peyote Gorilla, the Doctor Seedsman 30:1 CBD, Gelat. OG, and some Sour Diesel Haze. But they have so many strains it’s hard to pick

Colorado. I know the feeling on trying to just pic one or two. My last two orders were a day apart for that reason. I could not contain my growing addiction and needed more.

Welcome to the community. Canada well represented here at :420:. Check out our sponsors for seeds all are great. I have great success with True North but if I was ordering right now I would go with George from the Vault he is always helping us 420 members out with great promos. Gotta show the love.

Happy growing :passitleft:

No kidding eh. What’s the climate for growing like down there? I keep adding them to my Seedsman account order, and adding and deleting until I finally say enough and just order. It really is an addiction... I’m adding seeds to just continue growing through the year continually. But then if new strains come I find myself wanting to work those in too. How many strains do you have growing at once? Is the peyote WiFi done or still in the process of growing?

Thank you for the info! I’m happy to be here :) hoping to maybe get some growing contests going! I am new to growing but I’ve fallen in love, and love budporn. Hope to get into the groove of things once I pick my distributor! Hope to grow together in the future

Hey Lee

My wife Jo Ann is from Toronto do you know her? LOL

Seedsman is a lot of folks' goto...I got my beans at Crop King and they're doing well.

I also purchased some MK Ultra seeds from Seed King but I won't be sinking them til spring.

Anywho, welcome to the board. It's a fantastic community.

Welcome to 420 Magazine.
I have purchased from Crop King Seeds, and Canuk Seeds. Both Canadian. Both were great. I had issues popping seeds on my first grow and Crop King was helpful over the phone and even sent me some replacement seeds. No complaints about either one.
Is it just me or did seed prices jump this year?

BC Bud has always had a very reputable name! How’s the growing coming!? Who have you bought seeds from? Thanks for reaching out :)
KC
Yes it has, not the government stuff though! This go around so far it's going well, I have 2 Durban Poison clones that I took from the moms on my first grow, those didn't fare well but these 2 are, and 2 Northern Lights auto's going, all of the seeds were from Crop King Seeds, every one I've dropped have popped so I'm satisfied with those so far.

Happy growing!

Hi @KingsChron,

Welcome!

I'm in Ontario as well, in the southwest, but I know Toronto really well from the past. Great city! You'll find a ton of Canadian growers on this site.

A couple of seed supplier suggestions - I try to use sponsors of this site as much as possible, as they help us all out.

Personally, I have ordered from @DrSeeds, which is based here in Canada, as well as @SeedsMan and @George from The Vault, which are based in Europe. They are all reputable companies, and I've been really happy with their products, prices, and services.

I have also ordered from non-sponsors, and been happy with: Cannaventure, CSI Humboldt (different from HSO), and Neptune Seeds. All of them are USA-based.

Finally, I haven't ordered from either of these guys, but both are based near Toronto: Xotic Seeds and GTA Seeds.

Hope that helps, and happy shopping!

Haha can’t say I do! Are you guys still in TO or have you moved abroad?

They have been very very helpful, and I’m very glad. I purchased 2x from seed king prior. The first batch was good, but I had to get rid of the grow-Wasn’t legal at that time. But the second time I had 3 seeds not pop. I emailed them, they said they’d said another batch after saying I was lying about the seeds not popping (I wasn’t) and I also order another pack to go along with what they sent. Never received either pack, and they didn’t reply to my emails after that!

Beautiful ladies by the way! Looking very healthy!!

We're on the wet coast now.

That's not a glowing report for Seedking. Hopefully I have a little better luck. The reason I went with them is because they had the strain I've been looking for for quite some time....could not find it anywhere else. Anway, we live and we learn. That's the hope at least.

That’s very interesting you said that! I had bought some white widow seeds that didn’t pop. All in all, m issue was never resolved and the people I spoke to weren’t all that polite. Wasn’t the best experience-for me. Haha makes sense no? With legalization people who are doing things correctly have more standards to adhere to, and more money to dish out, which sucks for the growers
