:Namaste:Increase brightness for maximum viewing pleasure:Namaste:

As my epic chapter of misfortune and uncertainties comes to a close. I've had an opportunity to reflect on my past and dwell on my future. Although unwritten, the rest of my saga seems very bright and promising. I would be remissed if I didn't tell you all (once again) how much this site and my grow family mean to me. I feel deserting this community for months was necessary but quite painful. I most certainly did not keep with the MOTM tenacity for posting. But with the help of many of you amazing growers the ask us anything thread is the most popular FAQ on the whole forum. It's a testemant to the wonderful spirit that makes this community the best anywhere.

With that said... I've been squirrelling away some acorns worth a pretty penny. After a few weeks of indecision I finally decided to drop a few bucks and revamp/expand the garden. I went with my trusted and so so friendly mars hydro source, a kind woman who loves her work. :thanks: with a new 4x4 tent and a reflector 192 to illuminate the area there is a new and expanse of pretty pink light for my babies.

As you could all imagine my trans Siberian autos (x5), the Blackjack and the Diesel Berry have all been harvested. It was the diesel Berry first, Blackjack second then the subsequent TSi's. A report shall be posted on them I'm the next few days with pics and weights. For now I have only dried and jarred, weight not being an immediate concern. Here's a few shots of their last days and harvest.

A gob of Goo on the diesel berry one of 3.

Also afoot these days is outdoor garden season. Not the Stinky kind but the veggie kind of garden. I've got 5 types of lettuce (if I can keep the damn rabbits away) carrots, beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers and radishes... For now :thumb: a few pics from my garden after sowing.

Notes ~
The autos have grown so much even since I took these pics. They almost don't do them justice. I suppose a subsequent update should resolve that, I'll just have to be more persistent... But they are all healthy a growing well after their topping. Training has begun on the 3 eldest plants and the latter is set to start any day now. No pistils to report yet, it's looking good for a larger auto harvest than last.

Notes ~
A healthy example of my garden rebound is this fruit punch. Spreading her wares high and wide, she's my second favourite of this grow. A definite fruity aroma and a sticky sticky appeal. Her square stature has been stretched a bit wider now that she's in a 3x3 instead of the the tiny 2x2. Feedings are now at max bloom concentrations and she's taking it in like a champ.

Notes ~
Another treat for the eyes is this Bubble Bomb. Bursting with pistils at all internodes she making great progress with flowering. Sugar leaves are covered in trichs and a lovely candy odour is wofting from her midst. Feedings for her are on schedule as per recommendation and she's not shying away. Her pot is considerably larger than the three other photos, her roots have lots of space for swimming. I think she'll outdo the rest for sure...we'll see soon enough.

Notes ~
This true sativa is living up to her nature, stretchy and lean. I sure hope these buds become big and plump on those lanky stalks. One thing I know is it will be epic bud to smoke. I can't put my finger on the aromas characteristics but it stinks very nice... Feedings are just as the others, right on schedule and amounts. It's easy to feed when they all need the same thing.

Last week's worries
20170601_104818.jpg

Notes ~
I had a pollen sac scare earlier in flower. I saw a few unopened calyxes that eerily resembled pre flower pollen sacs. Sure enough though, with careful investigations daily I found pistils emminating from each them. Hooray! I've officially got a handful of Haze seeds, non hermie, just stressed into selfing. Haze has become a go to bud for a power punching high after work. Lanky and laden with internode budsites she's looking very promising for my first successful photoperiod breeding attempt. No sign of deficiency she's getting a regular dose of nutes for her age.

I sure hope to be posting another update soon, these ladies deserve the exposure. Until next time, thank you for being here :thanks: you make things so bright

:bravo: Hey Snid! Looking great over here my friend and good to hear you're doing well. Love the expansion as well, time for some more plants to make their way in :) That diesel berry sure looks amazing with all the colors in there, I think I may add this to the next order list. I have become intrigued by the more colorful plants lately since growing a Dark Devil Auto so that strain will fit right in with those characteristics!

I noticed a lot of your flowering photo plants are all around the same age now instead of staggering ages and how you said it's easier giving everyone the same thing. I have noticed this myself since I have a few different things in my veg room that when they are all the same age roughly it's so much easier to feed. 3 different feedings going on in the veg room and 2 others in the flower room.. Can get confusing, I liked it when it was just 2 separate feedings, 1 for each room lol

Glad to see you back with another update though bud! Can't wait to see what else you have in store for us along with this new journal you were talking about :) Take care my friend

Looking amazing up in here Snid, mine are at the same stage as a lot of yours so we'll be harvesting about the same time. I see a harvest festival down the road. Back in the late 70's we had a Homegrown festival in my county every november. Literally hundreds of people would show up at a 15 acre "farm" and we'd spend the weekend trying out everyones homegrown. Good times!!

Hey snid looking great!! I wish I could get me a light I'm one short I've got two photos in 10 gallon pots @86+7 and I've only got a single 300 watt led marshydro over them. And I had to take that outta my auto tent. I wasn't thinking I guess when I planted the photos. But things are looking good. Glad your back and healthy look forward to your updates and check out my journal I also did some expansions. #global420

:cheer: June 18th, "Weekly" Update :cheer:

Ask Us Anything - Sharing Knowledge 420Style

:Namaste:Increase brightness for maximum viewing pleasure:Namaste:

Welcome back to another instalment of off the grid Snid's random updates. It's been a week since the last one and it feels good to get into a groove once again.

The first few days of the week were dedicated to zeroing in the climate for both tents using existing and available pieces. I have placed a range hood fan in the autoflower tent. This is exhausting outside... The inline fan is sucking from the photoperiod tent and into the auto one. This is currently keeping both tents steady around 77°f and 55-45% Rh. Just what the doctor ordered, eh... I had a mishap during the installation process, which I'll go into later on. A few factors were to blame, ME, a carbon filter and good Ole gravity.

With these refinements the system is working excellently. Let this be a part of a excellent adventure to come. As I mentioned brother Ched will be collaborating with me on a new Journal set to begin very soon.

On with our regular programming... :Namaste:

Notes ~
The autos are now showing pistils. Each of them has had their final stake adjustments and are set to go vertical. Lush and green they have been on track for an excellent round of auto flowers. The Gorilla glue are both already covered in trichs on their sugar leaves...let the fun begin. As for the Amnesia Haze pair, they are slightly behind the GGs, but still on their way into flower. Feedings are on schedule and are being soaked up with delight.

20170616_111647.jpg

Notes ~
The full bowl of fruit punch is a very gorgeous gal. A full body of lush green leaves reaching for the sky. Trichs adorning the leaves like a sugar coating. And little buds making their breadth known. I've pried her open as much as possible and removed a few inward facing fan leaves. Feedings for her are just as the others, full bloom nutes. It's much easier when they all need the same thing.

20170616_112820.jpg

20170616_112847.jpg

20170616_112923.jpg

Notes ~
This magnificent Bubble Bomb is getting some major budding action going on. As you can see in the overhead pic, I started removing larger fans that were covering budsites trying to push through the canopy. I wait until around week 3 because the growth tips in shade will stretch for light until that point. Once growth stops and buds are forming it's time to expose the hidden buds to light. Smelling like a candy land dream she is healthy and on her way to revealing her potential. Her feedings are surprisingly frequent in comparison to the smaller pots the others are in. This is evidence of aggressive root system development. Full flower dosage, them G/m/b only alternating every 4-5 days.

20170616_113430.jpg

Notes ~
I'm liking the sativa stature of this Durban Poison. Long stems just riddled with bud sites. I hope my penetrative power of my LEDs is adequate to get all the way down the stalks. Her slender leaves are quite stinky, and just adds the overall aroma emanating from this sativa. Feedings are steady every 5 days and are on schedule.

20170616_113916.jpg

20170616_113939.jpg

Notes ~
This poor gal had an encounter with a falling carbon filter that was poorly fastened in a test run trying to get the climate regulated. She took a direct hit on one of her second branches. It sheared down an inch of the trunk and broke the same branch in 3 other places. :yikes: I taped the trunk together with support from underneath. The snaps in the upper part of the stem were taped aswell. I hope this will be a form of unusual supercropping and she'll recover with nice big knots with lots of grow potential. My main concern is bugs or fungi getting into the split. In any case she's blooming well and despite her lankiness she is looking promising for some great Haze buds. Full bloom feedings as required, usually every 5-7 days.

I miss all you brothers and sisters of this community. It's good to be back with another update for you, till next time...

Sweet Snid, gals are all lookin fabulous my friend! Glad to see we are up to a weekly update again  Kidding brother, I know life gets busy!
Sorry to hear about the incident though, it happens to the best of us, it's like good growers karma lol. I'm sure she will be just fine, you did a good recovery job.
Loving the other training methods as well, still tip top as usual, I have learned from a great trainer! I have a DDA in a 5 gallon bucket that is starting to flower, I've trained it in the same fashion as your auto's and I'm thinking it will be a decent producer, will see once the stretch is over :)
Keep up the great work, it's showing!

Is that a photo booth type setup? Damn good idea for when you get those extra colorful buds! It's always green with fat buds in your journal
Very kind Redmud, thank you. I was given some fabric to create the illusion of a photo booth. It's made quite the difference Indeed. Pics are sharper and less distracting with the black backdrop. A great idea, (thanks G2heal)

Hey snid looking great!! I wish I could get me a light I'm one short I've got two photos in 10 gallon pots @86+7 and I've only got a single 300 watt led marshydro over them. I really need to get back into reading journals, it's been too long. Yours is right near the top of of the list brother, I'm glad to hear of your expansion aswell. :thumb:

I like the stretch on Fruit Punch, nice and level too. Looks like the middle could use a little opening up. Bubble Bomb looks good too, heck all of em, but FP is the one I'm watching.
:high-five:
:Namaste:Rabbi. They have great growth all around. I'm very happy with the way things are going this time around.

Remarkable job Snid! You never lost your green thumb or quest for the ultimate bud. Life is what you make of it and who you make it with. Glad to have you back, I missed you soooo much!:passitleft::dreamy::tommy:
:circle-of-love:So touching my dear, very heart warming. I feel ashamed of missing so much time away from here. But I hope that is changing for the best. Your garden awaits my wanting eyes, I look forward to seeing your progresses.:thanks:

Great job on the new construction sensei snid, you have gone to another level on your build, its quite magnanimous!:cheesygrinsmiley:
The plants are beautiful, I wish I had the space to really open up with a veggie and flowering room, but glad to grow at any rate.:goodjob:
Space is the key issue. I sorely "mis-underestimated" the size of a 4x4. Things are tight in the lab now, but manageable. Thanks for your kindness shruum :Namaste:

Mr. Pennywise, a true 420 warrior. Happy to share a grow schedule with you. I'll have to spend some time catching up on your grow.

Yes i find that having all the plants in the same phase at the same time is very efficient. One big batch of nutes rather than 4 little ones. Good luck with the dark devil, I hope it's a larger phenotype than the one grew. Although it was extremely delightful smoke. Thanks for all the praise my friend. Your journal is on the to do list as well. :Namaste:

KiG Everyone :green_heart:cheers

FYI, Give me a couple hours and I'll get to your more recent posts...

Yup, I have been watering some bigger containers lately, 4 x 3gal buckets, 2 x 5gal buckets and 5 x 5gal grow bags, so i needed to acquire a bigger bucket to mix my nutes in as well. But just out of those 3 sets of containers that's 3 different feedings, plus I was feeding 3 auto's 2 different feedings.. YIKES :thedoubletake: I need to slow down lol

Thanks, the Dark Devil are quite the vigorous growers and don't seem to need a lot aside from tons of staking and training with a few broken branches lol! Got 3 going, 1 purple pheno almost done in a 1 gallon and 2 that are in 5gallon buckets, a promix and a hempy. The promix girl is big, flowering and looking like a green pheno, while the small hempy girl hasn't started flowering yet that I can see, waiting for it to take off lol

Not a problem bud! I'm sure you will make it around eventually lol You've lots to catch up on around here :)
