Teldrens Organic Soil 3' x 5' Scrog (2x 400 HPS) - 2 Blue Dream 1 NN Kush

IMO, I don't use molasses on the last weeks just at the beginning of nutrient cut off.. I do something like this;
Say you do a 3 week flush.

3 weeks to harvest - cut off nutrients, but I will still be feeding the girls with 1tsp-1tbsp unsulphered molasses per gal of water.
2 weeks to harvest - I might use some molasses (~1tsp for a gallon maybe a couple gallons), but chances are I am starting to use plain ro water.
1 weeks to harvest - I give the girls a huge flush at least 2-3x their container depending on the prior flushes and how big they were (I also like my run off under 50ppm before I cut). After that flush let them dry out abit and your should be good to harvest.

A trick I have found to work pretty well is the fan leaf sap tasting test. Pluck a fan leaf from down low and up top and give the sap a taste, if it is still bitter I would in fact give the plant another flush, if the sap is tasting very similar to clean water, you should be good to harvest. I do not know how on point that test is, but it has not failed me since I have started using it!

Cool thanks will do that. I just started using molasses this grow and it is kinda all over the place with applications. TY for clarifying and will do that. Gonna phase out nutes this week and start the molasses next week. Today is week 7 (Day 49) start. So.... I am using 3.8 gallon pots so when I do final flush I should put 10-12 gallons of water through?
Good week to you to! :high-five:

I try and use molasses every 3rd watering in soil during veg and flower, forget where I read this but it really stuck out to me when it was stated like this, "too much molasses is like junk food for the micro herd". With that I felt using it less frequent in smaller doses was helping me in the long run.. always wondered if the calcium and iron in the molasses was ever being attributed with some plant issues I was having. & yes sir on the watering. I like to water slowly always I feel it is more efficient then just blasting the root zone continuously, water doesn't just travel down the outer portion of the pot and down the drain. Flush with a gallon and wait 5-10 minutes or so to let the water sit and break up any salts you have built up (you are growing organics so flushes aren't needed from what I read, I will always flush my plant to be on the safe side!), then continue with the flushes slowly and efficiently. We have been contious about our water usage out here in CA :surf:

Good deal on the sap test brother! I'm not sure where I read it at, but I read it somewhere and just never got around to trying it like I should have, so thanks for posting as you just reminded me of it!

And I've never used 3x(water) of the pot size tho, in regards to flushing the soil as I've learned that our plant never take up any nutrients, so there's nothing to flush. So with that said I've never flushed and this will be my 6th or 7th harvest!
But I think it's time that I finally give it a shot this run just to see if I notice a difference! Kudos CA215!

Also another go thing to do is pre-harvest, or remove all you larger fans that don't have any frost like 2-3 days before you harvest!
This while we're on the topic of things to do prior to harvest!

:peace: & Blessings brothers

Ps, I only use molasses when I brew compost teas which is no more than 4x per growth cycle these days.
I used to use a tea every other water and I can tell you now that it does for sure cause problems!
Every since I laid off of the teas, my plant have gotten progressively happier!

Here is the screen at 7 weeks (Day 49)

Re: Flushing/Harvest Time/Etc.

Older leaves really starting to yellow up now and buds swelling.
Time for bud porn.
