The problem with the police enforcement thing is the same conundrum as the one with the political system. The shitstem is rotten, attracts rotten people, and rots good ones.

I know LOL but seeing how I was less than a year old when my parents moved home, and have never worked in the US or received any kind of benefits from being a US citizen, they can shove their tax system deeply and rotate :)

Re: UncleC's Ganja Grove - Organic Soil - LED - SOG - La Chocolat/Vanilla Kush/LSD/GS

Recently, with some of the new US laws concerning expatriates and taxes, I have considered renouncing my US citizenship, but I suspect that would bring a whole new shitstorm down on me trying to cross the boarder. Boarder guards have absolutely NO sense of HA HA and I have already been lectured once about what documentation I am to provide when entering the US LOL

Re: UncleC's Ganja Grove - Organic Soil - LED - SOG - La Chocolat/Vanilla Kush/LSD/GS

Sorry to hear about what happened to your buddy. I hope the cop that shot him along with the person that gave the order to bust into the home of a minor like they did were both prosecuted and sentenced accordingly.
But it's probably safe to assume that this was all swept under that big ole' rug of lies that they keep hidden from public view at most of the courthouse's across the country.
It's stuff like this that makes my blood boil over. Instead of fighting real crime like they should be doing, they rather go for low hanging fruit like your friend because the risk of danger is much lower with an innocent 16 year old kid. To make matters worse they dawn their shiny black combat boots, bullet proof vest, cool looking gloves with the fingers cut off, then lock and load their military grade weapons just in case the suspect may have a loaded video game controller stashed inside of the home. Overboard? I think so.
Then to top it all off, they shoot him!! WTF???
I seem to think that a simple knock on the door along with a warrant to search the place would have sufficed. But hey, what do I know...

I know a few folks that I grew up with that are now cops along with a few others that I didn't grow up with but know via friends of friends kind of thing.
Almost all of them seem to fit the same mold.
1. They were the kids that were picked on and bullied when they were young. They feel that it's now their turn.
2. They were not very smart, not good in sports, and were often times the ones that were crybaby's and the tattle tailer's.
3. Considering their lack of smarts and social skills, life did not hold many opportunities for them so they chose one of the only professions that they were qualified for. Local Policeman.
4. Most have what I call Rambo Syndrome. They were not man enough to nut up and join the military but they still like the idea of getting to wear combat boots and kevlar vest and getting to play around with guns and other cool and manly kind of stuff.
5. They love to brag about how much of a bad ass they are. (As well all know, a real bad ass never brags about being a bad ass because they feel no need to do so.)

By the way, feel free to rant all you want brother. Consider this journal as 420mag rant central station.

I travel to Montreal or Toronto for work about once a month (Ottawa once a year). US customs has all the power and knows it. You do not want them putting your name in the 'system', no indeed.
I have only been searched twice in 15 years but I am naturally lucky and have an honest face.

So, I am required to have a passport at all times. I believe the total cost for an 'expedited' passport was 200usd, I could be off a bit my company pays me back so I not sure.
It could be an embasy abroad is cheaper cause they are bored and happy for something to do, I would not hold my breath.
Cheers &

Re: UncleC's Ganja Grove - Organic Soil - LED - SOG - La Chocolat/Vanilla Kush/LSD/GS

I'm a US citizen and I almost always get the third degree when I go home for a visit. In return for the warm welcome and hospitality that is extended to me I really enjoy answering their stupid questions with smart ass answers.

My last visit to the US - LAX Airport -
Customs Official - "What is the purpose of your visit to the US?"
Me - "I'm a US citizen born and bred. I didn't know that I needed a purpose to go home. Is this a new law or something that I should be aware of?"
Customs Official - "Sir please answer the question."
Me - "What was the question again?"
Customs Official - "What is the purpose of your visit to the US?"
Me - "I already told you that I'm a US citizen. Look at my passport."
Customs Official - "Where is your ultimate destination?"
Me - "My ultimate destination....I guess I'd like to go to heaven when the time comes. Wouldn't we all?"
Customs Official - Looking at me with complete contempt knowing good and well that I'm messing with him says "Enjoy your stay in the US."
Me - "Thanks but I won't be staying long." Big smile on my face :)

I can tell stories like this all day long. LOL!!

Easy to guess which ultimate destination the customs guy would like to see you go to. :).

I am glad to see I am not the only smart ass in the crowd but at least your answers didn't get you a lecture like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar LOL

My answer when asked "and where were you born?", after presenting my Canadian Citizenship card (vintage 1983 photo of me on it), was "here same as you ;)". Was definitely the WRONG answer as far as that officer was concerned LOL

No doubt. The feeling was mutual. :)

Me flying into LAX about 3 or 4 years ago -
Customs Official - "Do you have anything to declare?"
Me - "No Sir."
Customs Official - "Whats in the pillow?"
Me - "Excuse me?"
Customs Official - "You heard me. I asked you whats in the pillow that you have there." (Pointing with his nose toward a small travel pillow that I had.)
Me - "Oh sorry. I didn't understand what you meant. I bought the pillow at a shop at the airport in Tokyo."
Customs Official - "I didn't ask where you purchased the pillow. I asked what's inside of the pillow."
Me - "Sir I have no idea whats inside of the pillow because I didn't make the pillow. I purchased it pre-made. Whatever is inside of it is soft. My guess would be foam."
Customs Official - "You don't have to be such a smart ass."
Me - "Go fuck yourself man. You asked me whats in the pillow and I told you. You're the one being a smart ass. You want the pillow, take the fucking pillow. Cut it open and do whatever the fuck you want to with whatever is inside of the fucking thing. I really don't care."
Customs Official - "Sir please calm down."
Me - "I am calm. You want the pillow or what?"
Customs Official - "No. Have a safe trip and enjoy your visit."

I thought for sure that I was going to get pulled aside and interrogated, maybe have a drug dog sniff my butt or something, but he just waved me through. Go figure.

Interesting rant. Interesting because it's unfortunately true. We tattooed many officers and on many occasions would have fellow officers drop in to visit with a client and the stories.... I loved those guys dearly , but with the exception of one I thought of like a son, the rest needed a good shaking from a strong mother figure.

I think I was most disturbed by the stories of how cannabis got confiscated but never processed into the system. The Task Force members who couldn't wait to finish the tattoo so they could get home and fire up a joint. A sick system.

We cut our own throats when we gave the police departments a vested financial interest in the nebulous "War On Drugs". We won't be safe as a citizenry again until we end that policy.

Re: UncleC's Ganja Grove - Organic Soil - LED - SOG - La Chocolat/Vanilla Kush/LSD/GS

As the great philosopher Mr. Weaselcracker recently said, "The shitstem is rotten, attracts rotten people, and rots good ones."
I believe this to be 100% true and it summarizes the problem in a single sentence.

I've had the same experiences as you with some our illustrious donut shop mascots. In addition to most of them being dickheads, most of the boys in blue that I know of also live way beyond the means that are attainable based on the salaries that they are paid. I have no doubts or misconceptions about how this is possible. The shitstem is rotten to the core and we all know it.

We must always remember that the role of anyone that is employed as a public servant is to serve the public in some way shape or form.
In return for the service that they are supposed to be providing to the public their salaries are paid for with our tax dollars.

Don't ever forget this fact and I encourage everyone to remind them of this anytime that you are treated in a disrespectful way by any local, state, or federal employee or official.
In return for the salaries that we provide to them the least that we should expect is to be treated in a respectful and courteous manner. If they can't do that they deserve an earful from their customers.
The public is supposed to be the customer, not the enemy.

Mid-Week Soil Bin Update -

The beans and greens that I planted in my used soil bins are coming along nicely.
Mother Nature has been lending a helping hand with the daily rains that we've been getting so I'm not having to water.
Thanks Mom Nature! :Namaste::high-five:

Last week I went scuba diving and packed a couple of gallon size Zip-Loc bags in one of my BCD pockets hoping to collect some goodies for the garden.
While diving we ran across a dead coral reef so I filled up my Zip-Loc bags with bits and pieces of dead coral and spent the rest of my dive trying to not drop or lose the Zip-Loc's.
If I ever do this again I'll be sure to use a mesh sack with a clip instead of Zip-Loc bags. LOL!!

When I got home I rinsed then soaked the dead coral in fresh water. About 2 days later I drained the water, rinsed again, then allowed the coral to dry out completely.
This week I went ahead and crushed it all up using a mortar and pestle and ended up with about 3/4 of a gallon of crushed and about 2 cups of powdered coral.
For those of you who may be wondering, yes it was a lot of work to crush all of this up with a mortar and pestle. I thought it would be a 10 minute job but it took almost an hour. Dead coral is much harder than I originally thought it would be. LOL!!

Even though it took quite a bit of effort this coral meal and crushed coral will provide me with a very good source of both fast and slow release calcium along with other beneficial micronutrients.
It will also end what seemed like an eternal and unsuccessful quest to locate calcite. Woohoo!! Happy, happy, happy!! :)
thumb_IMG_2127_1024.jpg

Before leaving the boat docks I also picked up some fresh shrimp to bring home for my own human nutrition.
Since I don't eat the peels and heads these went into my soil bins as a source of nitrogen as well as chitin/chitosan.

For those of you that may not share my enthusiasm for organic soil and find this post rather boring, I'll wrap things up with a couple of bud porn pics to make up for my boring post. :)

You just weren't looking in the right places. Duh!
Looking wonderful and thanks for throwing in the glossy pics of female reproductive parts.

Re: UncleC's Ganja Grove - Organic Soil - LED - SOG - La Chocolat/Vanilla Kush/LSD/GS

You'd think that calcitic lime could be found at most agricultural supply stores or gardening centers but I've had zero luck locating it in bag form. I was able to locate a fertilizer supplier that offer it but it was only available in dump truck loads (sold by the ton only).

I had considered crushing some oyster shells or limestone but figured that wouldn't be a very easy thing to do.
Now that I've crushed up this dead coral I now know that's not easy either. LOL!!

Female reproductive parts are what make life worth living right? :)

Re: UncleC's Ganja Grove - Organic Soil - LED - SOG - La Chocolat/Vanilla Kush/LSD/GS

You made my day, Unky Herb. I dug up a few large pieces of coral in my yard and have been wondering if it can be used safely. Not worried about salt; my stuff is ancient and was buried.. Will give a good rinse anyway, then YAY!; hours of grinding. Might put in a sturdy bag and smash up with a hammer first..
Not a lot of info (that I can find) about coral; even asked Docbud and bobrown to no avail so very stoked to read your post..

My old man was a cop for thirty years. While he was no saint, I know he was clean and did not go around beating random members of the public, and the stories he tells... Some people can be real pieces of shit. And Dad liked to catch them. Got a serial killer even. It was his whole life.
They get jaded. They drink a lot. They're too young with too much responsibility, too much power and too little oversight. Like all 'systems' reliant on humans, humans wreck the system. Greed is in our nature. Grass is always greener (no pun intended) elsewhere. Like all positions of power, the police 'system' is easily exploited by individuals or groups within, and like all such systems, the police attracts exploiters; maybe more than most..
I myself was once choked out by a cop; I did indeed deserve it, but thought it was a bit harsh at the time. Actually, I was totally shitting my pants when it happened, and considering I was taking drunken swings at 2 of them, I now believe I got off lightly.
It's different here where I am; the system smells here but it's not quite rotten. I learned the hard way not to give them a reason....

Re: UncleC's Ganja Grove - Organic Soil - LED - SOG - La Chocolat/Vanilla Kush/LSD/GS

Hey there Santb. How have you been pal? How are things with the veggie garden that you were planning?

The chemical composition of dead coral is almost the same as oyster shells.
Coral contains about 95% calcium if I remember correctly with a few other micronutrients in small quantities.
Note that the calcium is in carbonate form so it will help to buffer ph in acidic soils. Because of it's potential to raise soil ph levels care should be taken if using it in alkaline soils.
Think of it as dolomite lime but with a higher calcium carbonate content and very little magnesium.

The hammer and sack idea sounds like it would work quite well to get the larger pieces broken into smaller pieces. You may need to use an additional step such as mortar and pestle or some type of grinder if you want it in powder form.
Larger pieces will get broken down slowly by acids and micro life in the soil resulting in a slow release form of calcium. Powder form will result in a much quicker release.
:peace:

Note to everyone - Coral is a non renewable resource. Live coral should never be harmed or collected for any reason!!! PERIOD!!!
