420's First Soil Indoor Medical LED: Mostarda Grow Journal 2017

Radogast,
sorry because i write here and not in your thread.
I saw that you and SweetSue use to drown the buds in a solution of lemon and bicarbonate.
Is it only to kill spidermites?
Or are there other implications?
Later i post an update of how the topping is going...
Ah,
by the way,
i gave them algae kelp, 2ml, for the first time.

So,
the update!
The plants are going good... slowly, but good.

In May i have an upgrade.
I'm building some COB Led,
so,
this one Vero29 will be replace by two 50W Citizen 1212.
I have noticed that one topped plant has shown some male flower...

Am i right?
D'oh!
In this case i ask the help of CannaKitty...
:woohoo:

Every harvest I wash the fresh buds with lime juice and baking soda in water, then rinse well in water. This is to clean off dirt and hair. For powdery mildew, Doc Bud recommends a wash of hydrogen peroxide in water, before the lemon juice and baking soda in water - but this is only for powdery mildew.

The wash is because the smoke tastes smoother and cleaner. Vape especially tastes cleaner. I was smoking oven dried (90 min at 170F) Amherst Sour Diesel bud today, and it was smoother than anything I have ever purchased off the street - including California and Oregon dispensary weed.

Washing adds about 15-20 minutes of setup and washing time and 1 hour elapsed time to trimming a 3-5 oz plant. I get the time back with a 1-2 days faster drying time than unwashed buds with no grassy taste from fast drying.

the update!

I'm not sure that plant is a male. That looks suspiciously tall stemed and well developed not to be seen earlier.Topping did not cause this, unless this is a fast growing curled leaf.

I'd look again tomorrow

I'll wait another week to see if these two balls are male flowers!
How much tall do you put your plants in flowering stage?
Maybe 20-30cm for 120cm of the growoom is a good height to achieve...

This is what i take with the phone lens.
I don't have a macro function,
so...

This Mandala#1 has been traded up with the other one that was excluded in the growroom selection in the early days.
In the next update you'll see the other Mandala#1 ( a bit behind in growth).

:bitingnails:

Now now just snip it off and hold tight if they keep popping up everywhere then do the needful.

Whaaat? That is full blown male parts there. He needs to get that out of a 3km radius from his females NOW. You can't castrate male plants and hope they turn female... it doesn't work like that as much as I wish it did.

I have never heard of someone being able to 'turn' a male back into a female... in all my reading...

Sorry,
i was sick in these days.
This is the classic update.
In the growroom,
you can see the old Mandala #1 has replaced the male Mandala #1.
I hope this is a lady...

In this week or at the start of the next,
i will put the regimen on 12/12.
I was building the Cob Led,
but i broken the drill bit when i tried to perforate the aluminium dissipator.
Damn!
I will retry in these days.

On 5 7 2017 i gave 24h of darkness before switching to 12/12 period.
As you can seen they are starting to stretching.

Today I replace the Vero29 50W with two Citizen Clu048 1212 ver 6,
in total 100W.

I think is a good potency for a 40x40...
Well,
we will see!
Meanwhile,
before the switch,
i took two cuts,
one of a Mandala#1,
and the other,
Northern Lights#9.
With these,
if they will root,
and with the use of Silver Colloidal,
i want to make a cross:
"Jasmin's Rose ©"
From the name of the breeders behind these two strains!
LOL
I feel like a...i don't know...
Mostardanstein!
:woohoo:

The first week at 12/12 is passed.
I have done some LST on Lilly and Northern Lights #9.
I'm using FloraNova Bloom at low doses.
While,
i think twice,
in vegetative stage i have used two time the seaweed.
Keep going...
I leave you with some photos:

Hi everybody.
While the plants grow...
I'm reading about AACT.
This is what i have found:

4 lt non chlorinated water with right ph
25 ml black molasses
15 ml seaweed
60 gr worm castings
Bubble with air stone and air pump for 1-24h

Do you use it in your cannabis diet plan?
Do you have some insights?
Can i use it pure or i have to diluite it?

For Radogast,
i see you are looking for some indica...
Have you read about Ganesh Mandala Seeds?
And,
only C99 and Grapefruit are fruity strains that are low odor?
Durban Poison needs a carbon scrubber?
