600w Coir Closet

Update

thursday - 7/26 - 830pm

2gal water

2ml superthrive
2.2ml roots excelurator
15ml hygrozyme
5.5ml myco madness

twi2 - 1.25L (topped)

ss1 - 1L

slh2 - 1L

slh1 - 1L

twi3 - 1.L (topped)

bagseed - 1L

I went ahead and just topped the 2 twilights... it appeard I fucked up the FIM again lol.

It is also apparent the FIM was a success with everything else. So I will find out if the fim is well worth the hassle of possibly missing and losing days.

I axed Twilight1 2 nights ago... she had a slow necrosis working her way up the plant... She was also short and while she could have been something, I made the decision to just be done with her. This allows me to really spread out my remaining 5 which I am very excited about.

I also axed the small SS2 that was still in the 3.5" pot... she wasn't going to be much at all, and getting rid of her leaves me more space.

My last unsexed bagseed showed male, so I chopped.

That leaves me with 6 total, 5 of which are nice little (for now) bushes.

I should be on schedule to feed one more time on saturday/sunday, then wait a day or two and then transplant into 5 gal pots, wait another 7-10 days then flip to 12/12 and let the madness begin!

They are going to be massive. I will post pics in the next day or two!

:Namaste:

PICS!

Her new growth.... remember, after a series of failed FIMs, she finally got topped 2-3 days ago, and those new growths will start going...

Lots of heads on this one, with such a late top, it will be interesting to see how this thing buds.

They are getting big, and I still got another week before flower!!

I have a question maybe someone can give some insight to.

They were all started in 4" pots with sunshine advanced ultra coir, a soil less medium.

I then transplanted into 2gal pots with roots organic soil which already had nutes in it.

It has been about 3 weeks in Roots Organic and its apparent the soil nutes have about run their course. My question is, can I transplant back into sunshine advanced ultra coir so that I am able to custom feed these girls. I want to run iguana juice grow for the first 2 weeks of flower, as well as bring in bloom around the 1st week of flower, and follow with bud candy and overdrive towards the end.... with a week long flush before chopping.

Will the plants have any huge issues going from soil to soilless?

Update:

sunday 7/29 - 5pm

2gal water

2ml superthrive
2.2ml root excelurator
16ml hygrozyme
7ml calmag+
15ml iguana juice grow (half doseage)
4ml AN liquid carboload (half doseage)
5.5ml myco madness

pH 6.3

feed:

slh1 - 1L

slh2 - 1L

twi1 - 1L

twi2 - 1L

ss1 - 1L

Accidentally snapped a large 9blade fan leave from SLH2 as I was tucking them away. Kinda bummed about that :-( gotta be more careful

:Namaste:

Will the plants have any huge issues going from soil to soilless?

Do not know about coir, but I have put soil planted pots on an NFT tray with great success, as long as the roots remain mainly undisturbed logic says they will do well.

Plants look v.good :thumb:

I personally think it would be a big pain moving to soilless.
I think you would have to keep a very close eye on PH and your feeding. Soil as you know gives you a good buffer zone especially if it is loaded with good quality peat. so moving to something with no buffer zone could be quite problematic.

But just remember this is only my opinion

:peace:

Transplanted into 5 gal pots tonight, I decided to continue on with roots organic soil.

Anyway, I thought I would have just enough to transplant all 5 however, it appeared I was just a little short, so I did not transplant SLH1, as she was the smallest anyway.

I will transplant SLH1 tmrw and take pics of everyone.

heres my rudimentary log:

Tuesday - 7/31 - 10:30pm

transplant 7/31

3gal water

3ml superthrive
3.3ml roots excelurator
20ml hygrozyme
12ml calmag
7.5ml mycomadness
9ml AN liquid carboload

pH 6.5

TWI2 - 1.5L

SLH2 - 1.5L

TWI3 - 1.5L

SS1 - 1.5L

Each had just a tiny amount of runoff so it was great.

I snapped a pic of TWI2 before and during transplant.

2012-07-31_22-40-27_557.jpg

The roots looked awesome... they could have been transplanted a week ago!!

H&G Roots Excelurator is the truth... I am sold. A $70 bottle will last you 250gals worth of feed and its worth every penny, imo.

Since I transplanted into more roots organic thats already loaded, I will cut off the iguana juice for the next 2 feedings at least (ill continue with root stims, calmag, liquid carboload and hygrozyme)

I will bring in iguana juice grow again at a half strength doseage for the 3rd feeding which I figure to be next tuesday or so, and then I will flip to 12/12, and balance iguana juice grow and bloom for the first 1.5-2weeks of flower and then cut off the grow nutes completely and begin to add my bloom boosters (big bud, bud candy).

This will of course all be based on my observations of the plants, but this is my prediction at the moment.

I will use roots exceulrator and superthrive for about 2 weeks into flower and then cut it off.

:Namaste:

I have a bunch of pics after the transplant, and tying them down to open them back up but im too lazy to go through them and label, they are 2 days old anyway.

I will do an overview of each plant right before i flower though so you can get a good idea of their transformation during flower.

Here is a pic of them though, in the same arrangement from last update. I believe this is day 43 or 44 of veg...

top left = twilight1
bot left = superskunk1
midtop = slh1
botmid = twilight2
right = slh2 (transplanted yesterday)

I plan on flipping to 12/12 next wednesday...

Over the next week I will slowly cut away at the very bottom budsites because this canopy is so friggin dense there's no way light can penetrate to the near bottoms of this colas.

I don't think I will have an issues with height, but I am a little concerned with the horizontal space.

:Namaste:

Fed:

1gal

1ml superthrive
1.1 roots excelurator
7ml hygrozyme
8ml iguana juice grow
4ml liquid carboload
5ml calmag
2.5ml myco madness

pH 6.3

ss1 - 1.5L - runoff 6.0

twi1 - 1.5L

twi2 - 1L

The SLH will be fed tomorrow, they all appear to have slight nitrogen def... i guess this roots organic wasn't as hot as I thought it was. So I hit them with half doseage of iguana juice grow. I'll see how they respond and go from there.

I'll feed the SLH the same feeding tomorrow as some of the very lowest fan leaves are starting to yellow a bit on almost all of them, but SS1 the worst... so I may need to give her more than the others for the next feeding. I will have to watch them all closely for the next few days to establish who eats and how efficiently... I have a feeling SLH will be the least hungry for nutes and the SuperSkunk the most hungry.

Fed SLH1 and SLH2

I did something a little different to combat this slow nitrogen def of all bottom leaves that every plant seems to have.

I made a 1 gal mixture:

8/4/12 saturday - 8:30pm

1gal water

1ml superthrive
1.1ml roots excelurator
7ml hygrozyme
8ml iguana juice grow
4ml Liquid carboload
7ml calmag
2.5ml myco madness

pH 6.4

SLH1 - 2L

SLH2 - 1.8L

They had a decent amount of runoff, compared to the tiny amt of runoff that I usually aim for.

How much runoff do you guys usually aim for?

I need to give TWI1 and 2, and SS1 a full feeding of veg nutes likely tomorrow...

I will probably flip to 12/12 tomorrow or Monday, they are just toooo big.

:Namaste:

I went ahead and just set the timer to start flowering. lights will go off at 7am and turn on at 7pm.

TWI2 and SS1 are a good amount taller than the other 3, so I gotta get this going before they get any taller in veg.

TWI1 is a real nice bush... almost like a hedge... it will be fun seeing it flower.

I will feed iguana juice grow up until day 14 of flower full strength and slowly work in iguana juice bloom for the next feeding and on.

Big bud I will start after I finish iguana juice grow, and I will start bud candy around day 18-21 i think.

The twilights and superskunk, from what I have read, will finish in about 50-55 days...

SLH goes about 65-70 maybe a little more.

I will base the actual harvest on trichome color with a microscope.

I have been referring to TWI3 as TWI1 lately... so please do not let the error confuse you. The true TWI1 was stunted and too small so I chopped her... im glad, cus theres no room :)

Feed Log:

8/5 sunday - 9:55pm

2gal water

2ml superthrive
14ml hygrozyme
2.2ml roots excelurator
15ml calmag
8ml liquid carboload
32ml iguana juice grow
5ml myco madness

twi2 - 1.5L
SS1 - 1.75L
twi3 - 2L

Even at 2L, twi3 had barely any runoff.

Today is officially DAY1 of flower as they just woke up a few hours ago from their first night of 12 hrs darkness.

Here are some pics of them before and when the light came on

2012-08-05_19-26-25_382.jpg

I have them packed in there, but I contantly am tucking leaves as much as I can.

I will be able to spread them out once flowering really starts... I just want as much canopy penetration as I can get for this stretch phase they are about to go under.

Here is TWI2

2012-08-05_22-10-36_853.jpg

Twilight is appearing to be such an easy and friendly strain to go. I have put her, like the others, through so much stress and she just battles on through it, looking great.

2012-08-05_22-18-03_807.jpg

I imagine she will have to be supported in some fashion. I'll be ready.

2012-08-05_22-12-52_465.jpg

Here is SS1

2012-08-05_22-20-28_194.jpg

Look at that yellowing... It started right at transplant, and I let off on any added nutes because Roots Organic comes hot... but I guess SS1 especially needed more.

She will be fine im sure... a quick finisher as well at 45-50 days.

Definitely not as branchy/stretchy as TWI2, very tight internodes.

I am excited to get these things rocking in flower.

:Namaste:

lol I hope not!!

Here is form yesterday right before the lights came on ( I had to get inside the closet and ensure it was light proof, it was!!!)

This was day 2 of flower.

2012-08-06_19-08-21_883.jpg

and here is that shot ive done before, they are still in the same order:

Looks like you've got a few happy and healthy little bushes on your hands. I can't wait to see how they turn out for you. Well done so far!

Thx CLOJ.

I feed the SLH today, gave them a 50/50 mix of veg and bloom nutes.

8/7 sunday - 9:35pm

1gal water

1.1ml roots excelurator
1ml superthrive
7ml hygrozyme
4ml liquid carboload
7ml calmag
8ml iguana juice grow
8ml iguana juice bloom
2.5ml myco madness

pH 6.2

slh1 - 2L (smallish amt of runoff)
slh2 - 1.9L (good amt of runoff that was emptied)

SLH2 is showing some black splotches on the lower leaves, indicative of a P or K def... nothing extreme but I wanted to start getting this bloom worked in asap.

The other 3 that were fed yesterday will get their first feeding of bloom base nutes next feeding.

Here are some pics right before feeding of SLH1, I forgot to get pics of SLH2.

2ml superthrive
2.2ml roots excelurator
15ml hygrozyme

17ml iguana juice grow
15ml iguana juice bloom
5ml myco madness

pH 6.4

twi3 - 2L

twi2 - 2L

SS1 - 2L

I have a bit of a fungus gnat problem... anyone have reliable solutions? I'm gonna do some research and plan to take action tomorrow and saturday.
