Getting same problem with mine don't know if she will be done I have noticed the cold brings out the purple but been no where as cold for me as it has for u good look hope u get a nice smoke

To make an alcohol tincture, decarboxylate flowers and good quality trim, soak in high proof alcohol (ideally 190-proof) for a week, and then filter. Notes and photos here.

I personally really like being able to completely skip the assault on the lungs and just swallowing a dropper-full of tincture and spacing out an hour later. Coming on to a big dose while hiking through the park sometimes reminds me of coming on to the more potent substances that I used to take a long time ago... trippy, man. Ima trippy hippy...

I will testify to the amazing-ness of tincture. I use about an oz of good trim and popcorn buds to a quart mason jar of everclear and let it sit for a month in the freezer and man o man just a few mls sends me to the outer rim of the galaxy.

With apologies to Canada Guy for going a little off topic, here for your information and amusement are the instructions for how to make a cannabis tincture in the 1916 United States Pharmacopoeia. (Note how they used dogs to assay for strength.)

Scientific have you run extracts into oil and if so, does the tincture compare favourably, or does it differ in any way?

I'm considering a Magical Butter Machine, have been for a while. I've had infused EVOO and infused coconut oil. Coconut oil isn't for me but perhaps could be used for a topical in the future. I didn't mind the EVOO though. Just wondering if I should also consider a tincture. I generally don't drink alcohol.
