Growing Without Bloom Nutes By Farside05

Lookn good FS the girls seem to have taken the faulty timer issue pretty well. I guess being in veg the light on the whole day wudnt hurt them that bad unless it got super hot or sumthn. but yea congrats on the new timer I love gettn new gear for the garden. Only jus hate setting it up but a timer isnt tht bad so nice lol.

Hey guys I had a question if some one could help me out I would greatly appreciate it. I was wondering when is it the best time to lollipop ur plants?
Check this thread out. It was started earlier this year and the members are still active if you have questions.
Lollipopping and when to start

Day 22

I feel like I'm back to where I was a week ago before quading them, but the structure should be better off for it. I wish the Triple Cheese would stretch a little more do I could LST her some more. She's a little ball of cabbage. The Peyote Critical is giving me more growth and I've adjusted her ties a couple times, working towards that rectangle.

Subbed. I ran 3 Cheese a few months back. It was a great strain, the most vigorous growing strain I ever grew. Germed fast, stood fast, vegged quick and did very well in bloom. I was averaging 19 zips per plant for a while. If you kill her with sulfur, she smells like classic Boo Berry cereal. My only complaint was her branches where wet spaghetti noodles. I had to yoyo every last one and I anchored every branch to the center with duck tape to prevent splits. I actually think I might run her again soon as I have one bean left.

Those cabbage phenos are always a pain to train! Luckily I haven't met one in person yet :).

The cabbage phenos were quite common with Brooklyn Sunrise in last years comparitive grow. I had one of those. I mainly just tucked for quite a while until it got enough height to pull apart.

Welcome to the party. I'm excited for this Triple Cheese. She's not quite as vigorous as the Peyote Critical at the moment, but that can all change. The last couple grows the smaller plants out of the gate ended up being the biggest girls in the tent by the time they got to the finish line.

Day 24

Readjusted the restraints this AM just before snapping pics, so they look a little disjointed. I'm sure by the end of the day they'll look better as things turn back towards the light. The Cheese gave me enough growth that I could move the anchor points on the restraints and pull her apart sone more. Hope to get rid of the cabbage effect. Peyote Critical is getting as wide as the pot in one direction and narrower in the other, so the rectangulation is taking shape. They may need fed later today or they may possibly go till tomorrow AM.

Have you tried raising the light to coax them to stretch out a bit?

I raised the light and turned down the pot to about 75% power to lower the intensity. They were up around 30-32k lux and knocked it back to 18-20k. They were getting a little light shy plus I had a timer issue where they were on for 72 hours or so straight. They are happier now with nap time and some sunscreen.

Day 24 evening update

Shit, damn, mother.... I went to check on the girls to see how they have turned back to the light and find a wilty top on Peyote Critical. Unknown to me at the time, I snapped one of the mains off her when I was adjusting the ties. She was broke almost the entire way through and already scabbed over. No saving it. So I guess instead of a quadline she's a triline now. On the plus side, Triple Cheese looks less like a head of cabbage now.

Got a good review on my Girl Scout Cookies from my bud @smokers420 last night. He finally had a chance to sample some of my nugs. He's a true conesuer so that meant a lot. Helped brighten my day after the breakage debacle. My taster isn't the best but Smoker420 and my wife agree there's a hint of mint on the end. Possible Thin Mint pheno is my guess.

Day 25

I'll save the pics because the last were less than 12 hours ago. I came home and ran 2 gallons through the girls. Strength is 5mg Mega Crop, 5ml Pro-Tekt, and 5ml Cal Mag, per gallon. Ratcheted up the lights some more. They are sitting under 35k lux.

Thanks Farside05. The Girl Scout Cookies was very pleasurable to sample. The strain does have a hint of mint to it. I do like how at first it gives you the body buzz that is good for the old mans back..LOL then after about 20min or so you have a nice mellow head high.. The denseness of the nugs i was very impressed with, along with the slow burning. I must say you have came a long way in your grows and got it down pat now.. Hat's Off To You My Friend.

Little bud porn of the Girl Scout Cookies

Damn! Tough break (no pun intended)

Hard to notice the damage when they grow tight like that. Hope she keeps on trucking along for ya.
