So happy to have run across this, funny my wife just got back from Negril Feb 16 she stayed at the Yoga center.. She was not very impressed with some of the smoke . But did bring back some seeds to try that was was outstanding .. I use to hang in Negril in the early 70s but that is a different thread. All the best .

OK, here is "the wife" now. Yes, bought twice some bad herb for too much, but then through my massage therapist got a connection where I got a nice big bud, about the size of a hand, for 500 JMD (about $5 US) whith gave me a nice buzz and had plenty of seeds. I got about 30 seeds off of it, but only found about 20 in my luggage. I've put them loose in a side pocket of my bag. Can't start them right now, but will also watch this thread and keep you posted once they get started.

Oh man.... Do we know that feeling of frustration. You could tell from the smell it was substandard, but I think we were all just hoping against hope. We tried to influence some growers to look at production with more of a trend towards controlling quality. It's hard to say if they care enough about the increasing discriminating taste of their customer base.

Enough people start to bring in their own and they may hear us. :straightface:

Like Canna said, what a shame we didn't know the wife was there at the same time. What a hoot it would've been to meet the unexpected. :battingeyelashes:

I had the pleasure of touring a smaller grow that was in flower and almost ready for harvest. The guy had a few strains going, one was Trainwreck x White Ice supposedly and the flowers were a very dark and the smell was exceptional. He pulled the plant right out of the ground and handed it to me. We continued touring the garden until we came upon something I had never seen, a plant growing with pink/purple pistils. This plant was absolutely beautiful! He pulled this plant out of the ground and gave it to me as well.

Back at my room I started going through the Trainwreck x White Ice and pulled out probably around 20 seeds, so I will have no problem getting that going in my grow. However the pink/purple pistil strain didn't have the abundance of seeds. I believe I have two seeds from this plant, not sure I feel confident enough to germinate them, I may send them to someone who likes breeding so we can hopefully get this strain going within 420mag.

That being said I have other obligations for my grow space right now, so the Jamaican seeds will have to wait for the right time. I will be very active in this journal though, keeping an eye on what everyone gets. It will be interesting to see since everyone has different seeds except for some that shared a cab to my place and found some good bud with seeds.

Very cool. Very cool. Reminds me of the Jamaica episode of the Strain Hunters show. There are some pink pistil plants in that episode if I'm not mistaken don't sweat not getting seeds its not THAT rare. Plenty of TGA strains rock those.
