FYI this run I topped and lst'd the hell outta my autos and they are just large. I never trained autos before but I'm blown away this run with how they responded to training. I just stopped training when they started showing pistols. Go for it.

Now, serious question. How much time would you say spent everyday on your girls? Just as an idea of how much man power is required, because I must say you have the prowess of someone who has done this MAYBE once or twice .

Also, the experiments of the budsicles are hilarious, beautiful and awesome ALLL at the same time. It's sublime! Hahah

God damn that is a small runt of that age, it's kinda like....I'm not even mad...I'm amazed.

Growing is not new to me. Have used hydro in various grows of Cannabis and veggies for a while. It's been a few years for marijuana. Now I'm refining skills while stocking the medicine cabinet.
Your question to time spent. Right now a lot of time is spent staring, smiling and pictures also.
I'm retired from civil work. 55. Help with family business and run the homestead. I started building a cabinet when my son decided to incubate 25 seeds on a whim.

Each cabinet internal measurement is 24"×36"×76".
This is were the underbed storage tub was conceived.
While building this. I was borrowing a 4'×9'×8' walk in closet in our poolhouse to grow in.
Now I'm converting the addition to the poolhouse to a grow and flower room. And, cabinet is on hold.
So being in the area all day. I've elected to do a lot of taking care of plants manually.
Realistic combined time would be 2 hours on feeding days. And maybe an hour every other day. Training, trimming and documentation is an additional time.

I lived in Europe for 14 years. My family is originally from Holland. My Grandfather past away in 98 in a little town near Rotterdam. This is were the seeds came from. The 166 day girls are the seeds that took over 10 days to crack.
This is were a lot of my knowledge comes from.
Thus a SEA OF GREEN for a quick yield.
And the experiments began.
What kind of BUD can I grow.
BUD nutrient hype. Need to evaluate all.
Monster Cropping for denser stalk BUD to main Cola ratio.

35 day flower Monster Crop. This is the goal for the budsicle program. These two might be thrown in 12/12 with a larger pot.haha
If I mother these? Her offspring will be tight node 3 foot BUD! 1 - 1.5 zone each?

Here are the 166 day girls.

Runt on far right. Stopped when topped at 6". Rebounded well in flower.
Behind runt (around string on right side) broke main Cola off during LST.
Left front Christmas tree looking. Slow grower, just bent over to make room for big girl.
The big girl situated between Xmas tree and Runt, cola tied in center, to back left. She is manifold, mainline or, (politically correct) Flux style of training

I am interested in what your plans are for light usage.
Currently I'm maneuvering half dozen MARS 48 Reflectors around flower room. My 4 600w ballast lights are in storage for a while. But, I have wired closets for them.
Before I go. Lessons learned:
Suction cups that come with hydro...SUCK!
Tub 1, Root mass dislodged cup lifting air stone out of water....problems
Tub 2, lifted air stone into base of net cup. Middle of rootzone.....distressed the shit out of that plant.
Both required major surgery.
I now use TAPE! Air lines are secured with the silver reflective HVAC peel and stick TAPE. The good quality type it's waterproof and unforgiving if sticky side touches anything other than intended. Lol

I think that's a great idea. It's exactly what I'm doing now. I can almost finish 2 runs of autos while maintaining my perpetual grow. You will get to try more strains and you can use the extra space in the veg area or flower how ever you have your grow set up.

The great thing about growing is the vast different ways to achieve a very similar goal.

I remember back when I thought I knew everything. The first time I was a teenager lol...the next time I was married lol....lol....oh I almost choked lol....the next time....oh damn ....there was soooo many times lol....well the point is...we are all always learning and in IMHO bouncing our ideas off a vast variety of growers is an invaluable tool. The more we share the more we have the opportunity to gain and also to give.

No, I'm smack in good old USA. To bad I didn't invest in property in a Marijuana friendly state. Hoping they at least go medical by next year. Nice stash of novelty beans yea, this lifestyle is wonderful and in our case medically needed. I do need to diversify my medicine. Looking at a lot of strains to try. But, first priority is getting my rooms dialed in. I am all in on barter and trade. Also gives us a way of "paying it forward". For I also take care of three other people's needs. So I'll PM you and we can talk.
Just a puff, I visit and browse a lot of journal and thread. I interact in very few. Your title and hydro tidbit has me interested. Your understanding of the importance of EC (very few even care about it) got me talking. Kudos to you! Your smart, understand more than most. And, getting a great education. Definitely a compliment haha, my old man is a methodical and calculating man, and a lovely bloke too boot.

My germ tech consists of paper towel, and luke warm water! Nothing special, yet. Definitely going to build a cloning aeroponic tub for the early veg girls and for my clippings.

So, four Autos up next. I've proven to myself that I can get some decent 3ft plants out of my little diy dwc buckets, so now I'll progress with them for my resourvoiurs and connect them to a 50L rez, which will gravity feed into the four.

Medium will be clay pellets, and I'll plant the seedlings into my compost root booster cubes.
As for feeding schedules, I'll be only watering the seedlings with pure water pH'd to 6.0, alongside beneficial bacteria, establishing a lovely symbiotic relationship between the roots and bacteria. I'll also throw in some root stimulator to help generate a stronger root system from the get-go.

I only water once things have gotten dry, not bone dry though. I don't really have much of a time frame for these things. Usually going by feel is the best way to go, for me atleast

I'll run my seedlings under two 150W led panels and gauge their stretch and adjust the lights accordingly .

My environment concerns are fairly real, however, nearly all my waste goes on to my backyards lawn. Greenest bloody lawn in the hood! Haha.

I spend a fair bit of time on just the three girls when I can. Definitely not as much as I would like (I get in trouble from the missus!) But, I do seem to always get all my readings established and written down twice a day, morning and night, and the plants will be checked over thoroughly once a day followed by pics and stare time. Soooo, as it stands, probably 30 minutes twice a day on my plants.

I got my Mars Reflector series light back off my friend yesterday! He originally borrowed it for some extra fire power for the end of his grow. Now I have the desired amount of supplementary lighting from LED's.

Two 150W Led panels and 1x 600w + 1x 400w hps lamps.

Should get some dense nuggage eventually

Looking real nice in your tent man. Do you maneuver lights and plants around? Have you put LED lights vertically to plants?Have you checked out the Dewey aero? I'm going to DIY this. Might speed up growth.
Anyway reservoir shit! I'm using the short tubs for the cabinet (experiment continues). New tub of latest clones are not hooked up to Chiller yet. Didn't expect temps to get this high. So, instead of drain a gallon, top off a gallon. Repeat untill res temp norm. I drained complete tank and refilled. Next day checking the little darlings roots. And repositioning plants in tub. Noticed a brown spot on rock wool bottom were roots pushed through. Than I remembered an article I read. That advised not to do a complete reservoir change on new seedlings/Clones. Untill new roots and leaves are firmly established. Or, you have a chance of removing the biofilm on roots. Opening a pathway for pathogens to bind above the water line. Loss of fine root hairs and brownish to grey stains will appear. Added "CompleZym" by Complete Hydroponics. Disaster adverted. Funny thing is that I pulled up the article. It was in the "bullshit" file......now sits in "Trueshit" file. Lol
