Mystery Auto Fem Stealth Grow

I understand that, you take clones from your vegging plants just prior to sexing them. You will be getting your clone from a mature plant. I could be wrong, but from what I read if you take a clone from a plant that is already sexed, the clone then has to be revegged because it is currently sexually mature and you have a higher chance to get hermies. So take your clones just before going to 12/12 and label them. If they came from a male plant destroy the male plant and the clone, which you can do because you labeled them.

Thank you for the information TrysHard. I have read that both are reliable methods. I have always waited until I could determine sex because I live in a n apartment I do not have room for a lot of cuttings of just one plant species. The good news is that I took all of the cuttings yesterday and this morning I woke up to find that all of the plants are showing female sex organs :)

Here is what they look like now after shedding those extra branches. I can say that this strain has responded very well to the Dutch Master Gold 2part formula. Notice the size of the main stem and the nodes, these are 2-3 times larger than the ones grown in soil.

mystery plant, exciting
That it is, maybe some of the experts should start checking it out and make guess's as to what strain it is.

nice grow dude I love the hydro setup. it that just a storage box? I'm thinking of setting one up.

Thank you chaka99. It is a 16 gallon Rubbermaid Rough Neck tote. The lid has 3 inch holes to hold 6x3" net pots. I run two 50 gallon aquarium air pumps with 2x4inch aeration disk and 2x6inch bubble bars. The silicone tubing is just inserted though the two holes I messed up while cutting (the saw blade bit causing it to chew through more plastic than what was necessary) the tubing helps to keep the net pots from falling into the reservoir. I fill it with 7-8gallons of RO water after water changes (which take place every 7-15 days). Periodically through the week I check the reservoir, if it is more that 6inches below the fill line (which is marked by the ridge lip of the container) then I top it off with RO water. There has been one instance where I did not have enough RO water for my girl friend, myself and the plants so I compromised and did a top off with 1gallon of RO and 1gallon of tap.

Here is the DIY clone DWC unit that these cuttings will be in until rooted.

Very nice :) I like the bubble cloner think very nice :thumb: best of buds to you :bong:

Thank you scottish.

Here are some pictures from day 10-11 of Flower. It looks like the buds are reacting well to the dutch master gold hydro solution. A water change was done today and the EC is 2.29(microsiemens). This is .26 higher than last weeks (May 11, 2014) water change which measured 2.03 The recommended nutrient content for this week is supposed to measure 2.2 I have increased the nutrient content slightly so I can see how it responds. If it does well than I may push it a little further next week to increase yield.

Day 17-18 of Flower. This is the first day I could smell the resin on my fingers after touching the top flowers. The resin smelled very sweet and fruity almost exactly like fruity pebbles. The calyx are fat on all plants and plant C is producing trichomes at a faster rate than the other plants. Also, these plants are using up a lot of water (RO) on a daily bases. I filled the reservoir past the fill line on Tuesday (5/27/14) and today it is down approx. 2.5 inch from the fill line.

Looking tasty!

Hopefully they taste as good in this hydroponic set up as they did when I grew them in organic soil with home made flower ferts.

Today I increased the EC to 2.31. I was not able to do a full WC because the strings that I put up to hold all the flowers upright have secured them well enough so that moving the reservoir and lid is almost impossible. Instead I added more RO water all the way to the top, this lowered the EC. to 1.6. Then I siphoned it out and added a nutrient mixture (EC 2.65) this came out to be 2.53. I continued to add RO water (EC 0) until the EC went down to 2.31. I will be watching for signs of stress and micro nutrient lock out.

Today is day 23-24 of flowering. The EC measured at 2.75 mS this afternoon. Nutrient burn was visible at the very tips of the leaves and is shown circled in yellow in the last picture below. After adding approx 3 gallon RO water, EC 2.35 Fan leafs will be monitored and EC as well to insure nutrient burn does not persist. Indica is very strong and can take a lot of nutrients which can result in large flowers and higher potency if executed correctly.

Nice i like a good mystery grow subbed
Thank you for the sub NekoDragon

Here are some pictures from DAY 28 (June 9, 2014). The buds are filling out and connecting between internodes. This morning was the first day a mild scent could be smelt inside the closet. I have been checking the EC in the morning and adjusting for the massive water intakes that occur throughout the midday and night. Two days in a row the morning EC has been above 2.3 then lowered (by adding RO water) to less than 2.2. The nutrient burn is still isolated to the very tips of leaves as with June 5th's post.

Looking good!!

Thank you JadeLotus.

Here are some pictures from today (DAY 34-35) about half way through flowering. There is a standard measuring tape in the shots for scale. 2 more CFL light bulbs have been added since the initial set up: 1 - 42W 2,700K Spiral 1- 23W 6,500K Spiral (Total CFL watts 190, Total LED watts 95, combined draw approx 270w). The EC is kept in checked never rising above 2.65mS. Trichomes are now rapidly developing on the flowers. Plant C (middle short plant) was the first to start flowering. This has resulted in a nice stout size (perfect for stealth grows) and thick resinous buds in a short amount of time. (94 DAYS from seed now & approx 130 DAYS seed to harvest). I wished that I would have not experimented with cloning techniques and instead used trusted and practiced methods when dealing with the cuttings. I really wish I had a clone of plant C because this indeed displays the best genetic properties of the strain.

Looking good :) totally agree with cloning its best to stick too what you know I tried messing with techniques but only trust simple water cloning success rates are alot higher for me :bong: sorry if you have sed but what method do you use? :roorrip:

Here are pictures from day 39-40. The nutrient content has been diluted by removing the reservoir water (EC 2.2mS) and adding RO water until the EC measured 0.53mS. The nutrients have been running on a higher concentrate lately and I want to flush the girls out before the get lock up. I will run the RO water through a 5 day period of constant topping off so that the water is never below the fill line. I plan on running a higher concentration of nutrients starting the 25 if June and then begin a decrease of nutrients starting July 2.

Tonight I did a premature test of the plant with no flushing. I cut a branch off plant C (the most matured plant) and preheated the oven to 250 degrees F. I went outside and trimmed it up and put it in a coffee filter with holes in it. I baked it for 17 min. The buds were sticky and sweat while I trimmed them but after baking they were dry and with a chlorophyll smell. The smoke was very tasty for non-flushed premature bud (The trichomes were 80% milky white 10% turning milky white 10%clear). It had earthy-sweet characteristics and was pretty potent in terms of body and mind high. I look forward to tasting this bud when it is fully matured (70% amber 30% milky white).
