Ill take my time with them and make sure the entire net is full before i flip them. I figure i have until late Feb to do this grow, just hoping they dont take that.
If I would have let my plant fill the net before stretch I would have had problems I think. 3/4 full is normal from what I read but depends if you have a super stretchy plant. I have some colas that can't hold themselves up! I'll personally flip a little earlier then I did next grow.
That's true, more buds is always better. You can always just support them with string anyways. Looking forward to seeing the sk grow out and the scrog fill up! I've also seen people with a double scrog, that's an option too. I'm in a 4x4, It's funny how just a foot can make so much difference. Wish I could have fit the 5x5. How do you normally train your plants? Is this your first scrog? I've never scroged so not sure how my yield will change. My best so far I'm positive was over a pound but lost a few ounces to bud rot. I ended up with 14oz from 9 plants. They were just lst and topped once I think. Really hope I hit that pound mark this time.
I used the net last grow but didnt know what i was doing. Ive seen several scrog journals here on 420 so have a better understanding this go round. I just let them go to 5 nodes then clipped off top 3 then pinned down the 4 arms. Im seeing 6-8 main shoots on each plant now so we'll see how it grows out as the main shoots work outwards and expose the interiors. To fill the entire 4' x 4' tent would be sweet.
That's good to know for my next scrog. I know it could be better. No more mainlining for me, even in the box! Just a top and lst seems to be the best way to go for the scrog and I'm really happy with lolly popping for the sog. This journal is going to be a good learning experience for my next grow. Now that I've scrogged I have a better understanding of what I am seeing in the pics.
The girls are spreading out a little quicker now, im starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. First pic is a group shot and the second is StarKiller #1, shes looking awesome. I may reverse 1 branch and make some seeds from her.
Sup ya'll, just finished doing some tucking on the girls. The Bubble Yum auto is coming along nicely i think. Got a couple of group pics and 1 of the Bubble Yum. I was hoping it would be ready by New Years but it wont be anywhere close. Guess itll be GTH #1 for the holidays.
Hey everyone, i think i have a PH lockout. My ph has been at 5.4 for some time now and plants started looking droopy with lower leaves starting to yellow. The veins are still green, i brought the ph up to 5.7 Im thinking Mag is locked out. Ill see what happens over the next couple of days.
Hey 420, i added additional cal/mag and my ph is at 5.8 now. Also my res was at 60 degrees f, i raised that up some with an aquarium heater. The girls perked up overnight and are looking a lot happier now.
The SK is recovering and looking much better. The tops are pointing up towards the light and i had to tuck them this evening. The net is really filling in now so hopefully it wont be long before i flip them.
