The Quadsquad Thread: A Community For Quadlining

Hey Magoo! I stripped the nodes a couple hours ago. Plant is very healthy. Should I go top now or just wait a couple days? Thanks for the tip on destress, I didn't think of it. Prolly do like 1/4-1/2 strength.
I’d go ahead and top too.

Hey @Dutchman1990 thanks a lot. On quick inspection of your tutorial, I stripped nodes 1&2 way to early but I'm guessing there are many ways to do this. Can you take a look at what I did and let me know what you think? I have not topped yet. If I were to top now, there would only be 4 leaves left, no chutes tat I can see. Thanks again!

Seems so....should I have taken the leaves as well? Figured they were vital to the growth of the lower nodes an whatnot. Anything you recommend
No. You leave all the growth at nodes 3 and 4. Yours will only have 2 main branches instead of 4. Will still be able to grow a nice size plant. What I would do if it were mine....I would also train the side branching out away from your 2 main branches. This will allow more tops to form your canopy. If someone has a pic of what I’m talking about please post it so jik can see. Thanks!

@Jik Jikkles - Here's a pic from post#3 in this thread (Thanks @Asesino85 ) it shows the branches tied down to spread the plant out and point them in the right direction- it shows 4 mains, but it'll work the same with only 2...

That looks great Commando. I am hoping mine might get a bit of extra wild bud production too :thumb: :blunt:

You can do it multiple ways. Top first then remove nodes later. Remove nodes then top later OR top and remove nodes at the same time!

Your little one looks right on track so once you have nodes 3 and 4 growing strong I would top 1/8”-1/4” above node 4! This leaves a small stalk providing extra dexterity when training and spreading!

Excellent, thanks Dutch!

Heres an american haze about a month and a half into veg that I'm trying a modified version of quadline
20200126_141855.jpg

I have 4 man colas set up to grow with a couple more nodes above I'm going to bend in their own space and let all the other growth sites develop in areas with space for light and air flow

Shes a little slow growing and uneven but this little girl has been through a lot as I accidentally burnt her with a drink of the wrong nute water

Incredible stuff guys! I have been on vacation to Mexico and before that getting through the holidays at work so I haven't been around much but good to see so many people trying this out. Starting to see more and more people winning awards in the monthly (and yearly, Go Dutch!) contests and having beautiful looking plants. It's great to see so many people helping each other out. Keep up the great work and continue to support your fellow Quadliners!
