UK Cheese Auto 2020 #1

Stretch is definitely happening as I have seen significant grow and node spacing beginning to spread out some. I checked my previous grow of UK Cheese and at this stage of showing pre-flowering and pistils I'm estimating about 45 days remaining.

I had adjusted my light down a bit too much a couple of days ago and though it doesn't look like I've had any light damage I have moved it back up. Texting with @FelipeBlu about DLI around 73 and it was suggested it is way too much. So choice is reduce the time period down from 24hrs or raise the lights and reduce the PPFD. I went with the second choice in the moment and will let the plant move up into the light and increase it's DLI as it does.

Time for the weekly photo update.
It's been roughly a month since it had it's first serrated leaves pop. I'm hoping for some more height at this point. As this is only my second Auto I'm still figuring out the process of growth.

I did drop three new seeds in water about two days ago. Three White Widow Autos from @DrDoob. Feeling like at this point I will have room for them in their initial stages in the tent with this one until it's harvested.

Weekly Update. Not much if any growth. It would appear stretch is over and done with.

It is building bud nicely. This is the top.
But the lower ones are building nicely also.

I do have a nute issue that has popped up since I increased my doses.

It looks to me that I have too much K which is causing a Mag lockout perhaps. Either way it's time to flush and reduce the nute dose.

When I took the above pictures and posted I had already flushed with clear RO and emptied the Reservoir. Remixed a fresh batch of RO and nutes and contemplated what could have been contributing to the nute shutdown. I figured it out and remixed correctly and flushed with the new mix to bring it within spec's.

Problem solved. I'm not talking because it was a real noob/stoner mistake. Thankfully I figured it out so easily.

How old are they now, BTz?
About 6 weeks from seed drop. Perhaps another 4-5 weeks before harvest. This one had a very slow start from seed crack to seedling so I felt it's lagging about a week to 10 days. This mistake is really going to effect yield also.

Oh Well and All Good. I hadn't started and grown since last year and I'm in a home so everything is just a little different to get in the groove of growing. That's why I'm not in a big hurry to start growing more plants until I have my grow space Feng Shuied so to speak.

Time for the weekly Photo update. I'm calling this at about 7 weeks and it should go to about 10weeks.

I cleaned up some of the dead stuff earlier in the week and just sitting back watching it build a nice big bud on the main. The secondary are beginning to build also but not like the primary. Kind of an experiment to see how big it would get as an auto. I'm interested to see how many of these I can grown in a small space at one time.

Right now I feeling the smaller 1.5gal Dollar Tree waste baskets I used a couple of years ago would do the job nicely and I could easily fit three to four in my smaller 2'x2.5' GGT.

The real determining factor will be yield. At this point I feel I will be lucky to get a half an ounce? This one was quite a runt actually and didn't perform anywhere near the way my previous UK Cheese did. More trial and error to say the least.

Time for a weekly photo update. This one is fattening up quite nicely.
This center apical bud is at least 6inches long and about 2inches across.
Several secondary buds are bulking up also.
Not a lot of fluff on the inside which is something I have always dealt with and not preferred.

It looks like the dopest dope
If it smokes as nice as the last UK Cheese Auto it will most certainly be very dopie dope. I still have some and pull it out specai times.

They're starting to look nice and frosty.
Very Frosty indeed. The last one I grew looked like an Ice Cream Cone Tree it was so frosty.

I haven't done an update for 10 days as nothing much seems to have changed.
It has continued to bulk up and that is more apparent with more time between pictures.
How's that for some bud porn. It's well over 6inches tall now and easily wider that two Bic Lighters side by side width ways.

Here's a little side bud.
It's about 2inches long and also bulking up nicely. There are about of them around the sides from three different node levels. My plans are to cut the main if I need to and allow these to grow and bulk more if possible before they mature.

I chopped the Main Cola this afternoon and it's hanging in the dark. Picture to follow once I have done the preliminary wet trim. I like to let my fresh cut dry for a day or so and then do a wet trim. This one is rather interesting as there were lots of small dry fans already.

The rest of the smaller colas are now very nicely exposed to about 450 PPFD light and have some cloudy trichomes showing. I will wait until I see a slight amber on them also. There are 4 colas in the middle that are quite green. I might end up doing three chops in stages and that would be okay by me.

Am update photo since I chopped the Apical Bud off to dry a few days ago.

I'm monitoring the outside colas for amber while they continue to bulk up. The inside green buds were covered and shaded from the light by the primary cola.

A little update. I had harvested the main cola on the 10th and put it into a Jar with Bovida about a week later. Today I went through and did a final dry trim that was extremely easy and yielded 6.2 grams.

I went through the remaining colas and made a second harvest of the secondary colas while I was at it and hung them in the dark. Will final trim them in a week to 10days.

I still have 6 colas that were shaded by the apical cola that have now really begun to flourish. I'll keep a close watch on them but expect they will need at least another week to 10days before they are harvested.

The aroma of the primary Apical cola is very clean and sweet in the jar. A very light cheesy scent at this point. I'm sure I will not be disappointed by the final product.
