FelipeBlu’s Outdoor Hempy Photos & Autos 2020

Well, as expected, it got very busy with out-of-town work. Then, right as the harvest window started opening, the job site was shut down due to a positive COVID case, and we all had to get tested.

Although everyone else tested negative, including me - a testament to the effectiveness of the simple and common sense health protocols we used, such as masks, physical distancing, hand sanitation, etc. - the one positive person is essential to the entire operation. So I got some much needed time off to harvest this year’s crop while he recovers.

So, without further delay, let’s start with cola harvesting BeBo1 back on October 3

I’ve only jarred the best tops, and am using turkey bags to cure the other buds and trim. This was an interim assemblage of the partial harvest as of October 9 - as the initial drying of the first colas got to where I like it and curing could begin.

This is a clone from the second topping that I gave GLGA after training began. I started her in a half-full pot of 420 mix soil and never got around to up-potting her. So she ended up over 40” high - in about a half gallon of soil.

And I only lost about 5 oz to mold.

Woo hoo! :yahoo:

In that last pic of the hanging flowers, my mind was projecting all kinds of words they could be spelling out, one of which was "home"!

Haha - and I was seeing “HOWL”! :laughtwo:

Terrific totals and hardly any losses to rot is simply amazing.
:welldone:

Thanks Shed - that means a lot to me coming from you! :Namaste:

I see that you are using a g/day metric these days. For these plants:

BeBo1 - 185 days for 1182g = 6.4g/day

BeBo2 - 186 days for 590g = 3.2g/day

GLGA - 183 days for 890g = 4.9g/day

BeBo2 clone - 105 days for 152g = 1.45g/day

GLGA clone - 98 days for 241g = 2.46g/day

Congratulations Felipe! Such a stunning harvest from some gorgeous plants! :welldone:

Thanks very much, mis amigos! :Namaste:

It’s been fun, but I’m glad it’s done.

I’ve learned a lot - which is my ultimate goal. For example, although BeBo1 produced a fairly impressive crop for an average 20 gallon outdoor grow, the yield was proportionally higher in the 5 gallon hempy buckets compared to the ~20 gallons of perlite in the tub. And the buckets are a lot easier to move (at least initially) and require much less fertigation effort/cost.

Also, in the case of the GLGA clone, I observed how a root-restricted plant, started in mid-summer, can still yield big (8.5 oz). In the future, I am going to play around with setout timing and light dep. It would be nice to start in early May, flower during June-July, and harvest in August - getting the best sunlight and avoiding dew/rain/mold.

:welcome: back, Felipe. I've missed you. Sorry, you had to deal with COVID at work but if you're getting your harvesting done during that time, then that's nice.

Your plants all look great! Lots of nice big colas. BeBo1 is especially impressive. :battingeyelashes:

Interesting to see the huge difference in numbers between BeBo1 and BeBo2. Congratulations on a successful harvest!

You don't grow all year/inside?
