Zef's Stardawg x White Walker, Natural Greenhouse, 2020: Will Definitely Need Help

See how the leafs are lifting up, that's called "praying" position. It means the plant is in great condition, the roots are loving the soil conditions and are getting oxygen. This is exactly what you're after when people say " let the pot dry out"
It's ideal parameters, like getting the perfect fuel mixture in a engine and is puring.
Now you've achived it, you know what you're looking for.
Great, thanks again. So let them go a few more days then water them?

If it's as hot tomorrow, They might need a water at the end of the day.when you do water, let them dry back out to this again. That's the cycle now.
Just a bit worried about the amount of soil you have in the pots, don't want to push it that far. (I've got 5 gallons of soil each plant, so mine take just over a week to dry out, yours will be quicker).

Later on in the week it says nightime temperature down to 0° , if it does get down that cold, don't leave them outside at night, might have to take them indoors for the night.

Im hoping inside the greenhouse doesnt hit below 5°. Ill do a test later tonight and see what its looking like. It was a hot morning and they were looking a little thirsty so ive watered them and they are sitting in the sun.

Yeah, would be good to know how low it goes. Even 5° isn't good, under 10° and they usually stand still on the growing front, but your girls seem to be handling it really well. Proper Scottish lasses.
Have a good day zefs,it's a blinder.

The amount of grow even in 24hours is mad!

You wait until they really take off, they've been mainly building roots up to now.
We've been lucky with the sunshine this spring, hope that carries on.

How was the night temp last night? I heard there were polar bears in Glasgow.
Oh I actually meant to post last night, I checked the temp at half 8, again at 11 then finally at 1. By 11 it was dark for about an hour and it was at 13°c. At 1am it was sat on 10°c.
Look at the difference in size between these 2! Broke the soil on the same day and everything :)

Dude looks awesome! Seems to need a slight bit more of sunshine! One of your plants is stretching which will increase the chance of it to break by wind further down the line. Can you set up a small like 30w cfl 6200k light in the little grow tent? Might help a great deal!
How do you identify stretching in a plant?! Which one is it?

This one. Notice the long stem from the first 2 baby leaves up to the first real single fingered leaves? Thats stretching and it's not usually a good thing, means the plant is desperate for more sunlight.

This is mine for comparison, this one is about 7 - 8 days old from seed:

See how close my nodes are? :)

Since it’s only the one plant, I would be more inclined to put the (minimal) stretch down to phenotype genetics rather than light at that age

:).

Could be, but it really depends on how much light they get at that spot. I have never in my 6+ years of growing had a gene type that stretched like that given adequate light.

Anyways, a small 20 - 30w lightbulb is all the plants need the first 2 weeks of life, usually starts them off really good ime.

Those temps aren't as bad as the weather man gave it, he was going on like winter was coming.lol.

All sorts can see size differences, some strains can have 4 different phenos, then you've got different mixes of soil in the pots, could be just drainage and dryer roots. Either way looking nice and healthy.

I wonder is it the one that is low in the pot, I remember one of your pots had minimal soil in it, the level was quite low.
If it is, the pot sides might of shadowed it a little. It's tall enough to see the top of the pot now, so no panic.

I think the 2 smallest plants are turning slightly yellow. Could that just be the cold?

It certainly could be, what temps are we talking about? It could also be your soil medium lacking essential nutrients, it's hard to know for sure as consistent temps <15c causes stunted growth and problems with photosynthesis, I think you will be ok once the temps raise a little.

You can add a small CFL for additional heat and light to help them root properly.
